Open letter to Hon David Milliband for his kind consideration

Ben Silva UK

Hon David Milliband, MP
Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

Dear Sir,
Sri Lanka, terrorism and appointment of Special Envoy

The following points are for your kind consideration, to be discussed with the Special Envoy and hope that these points will assist in understanding the nature of the problems in Sri Lanka.

1. Funding for terrorism is from the large number of bogus refugees, estimated 300000, allowed into UK. In a nutshell, UK has been supporting and breeding terrorists. UK has been the safe heaven for Tamil racist extremists. For example, Mr and Mrs Balasingham and many others were residing and fund raising in UK. UK turned a blind eye or did very little to halt the violence, propaganda and fund raising by terrorists and their sympathisers The financial power and political power of bogus refugees is getting more visible now and they are having undue influence in Sri Lanka and worldwide.

2. UK is a part of the problem and unless UK understand the nature of the problem, UK is not in a position to help Sri Lanka. One of the key things in a problem solving situation is the correct diagnosis and understanding the root cause of the problem. Uk has shown that it does not understand the problem and therefore any solution proposed by UK will make the situation worse. For example a ceasefire will give a lifeline o the terrorists, produce a delay in eliminating terrorism and will lead to more loss of life. UK created the problem by giving residency to a large number of bogus Tamil refugees and then turning a blind eye to their fund raising. The large amount of bogus Tamil refugees allowed into UK is having undue influence in UK and in the world, without adequate measures to counteract the undue influence. The state of mismanagement of immigration by the home office is well documented. UK can help Sri Lanka by giving technical assistance to Sri Lanka, to rescue the civilians from the terrorists. As UK created the problem, this is the least UK can do. UK also need end the serious discrimination against the Sinhalese.

3. Damage done to Sri Lanka by terrorist funding from UK could be discussed along with the payment of compensation/damages to Sri Lanka and the victims of terrorism.

4. UK promoted the growth of LTTE by allowing LTTE Head Office to be in London.

5. UK turned a blind eye for LTTE fronts such as TRO and White Pigeon.

6. Due to the points given above, UK should be held liable for damages to the people of Sri Lanka and compensation issues should be discussed.

7. UK invented WMD and invaded Iraq, resulting over 100000 civilian deaths.
UK need to address torture issues in Iraq and damage done to Iraqi civilians before dealing with Sri Lanka.

8. UK fire bombed Dresden resulting over 40000 deaths of innocent civilians.

9. Deaths in Afghanistan sue to coalition military action is over 5000.

10. Nuclear bombing of Japan resulted over 120000 civilian deaths

11. Over a million people objected to invasion of Iraq, yet UK invaded Iraq on an imaginary threat. According to Mr Greenspan, the invasion was to control the oil assets of Iraq. What has happened to morality, human rights and values in the world, when powerful countries invent excuses to rob other nations, just as in the past colonial days ? Appointment of Des Browne is a gross abuse of Sri Lanka, to interfere and assist Tamil racist empire building.

12. Precedents have been established and Sri Lanka has a right to defend its people and territory from terrorists and racist empire builders.

13. Evidence shows that asylum control in UK was in shambles.

14. LTTE are experts at deception. They have made use of to deceive the world, when in reality they are on a racist empire building mission.

15. The war in Sri Lanka is against Tamil imperialism and Tamil racism. Use of Chola emblem by LTTE, and its vicious ethnic cleansing is an indication that LTTE want to mimic Chola invaders that destroyed the Sinhalese. The Sinhalese are fighting for survival. The following quote from Winston Churchill would be appropriate to Sri Lanka: "We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans. We shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air. We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches; we shall fight on the landing-grounds. We shall fight in the fields and in the streets; we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender."

16. Ref: Guardian, Saturday 17, January 2009-02-19 Milliband demands Pakistan act against extremists after Mumbai. I wonder why we have double standards and hypocrisy. Tamil tiger extremists were freely carrying out their propaganda and fundraising in UK.

17. Mr Milliband should not forget that Sri Lanka is fighting almost single handed, one of the most brutal terror organisations in the world, that is using disinformation, lies, deception in its propaganda war against Sri Lanka. Human rights orgs have relied on and used hearsay, innuendo, spin, lies, deception carefully planted by LTTE agents, to tarnish the image of Sri Lanka.

18. Mr Milliband should not forget that LTTE has eliminated opponents by killing them, eliminated political moderates, Killed two leaders of democratic countries, engaged in child recruitment as soldiers, brain washed and used children and disabled persons as suicide bombers, carried out ethnic cleansing of Muslims and Sinhalese, carried out indiscriminate killing of civilians, engaged in cerit card fraud, pass port fraud and money laundering, engaged in human and arms trafficking, engaged in drug trafficking, engaged in forgery and so on.

19. LTTE is a ruthless terrorists’ organization which killed thousands of Sri Lankans including innocent Tamils during last 30 years. The government of Sri Lanka is protecting the civilians and feeding them regularly. When eliminating the terrorists, rather sadly, few civilian deaths may occur. The responsibility for the deaths should be on Governments that allowed LTTE fund raising. Remember the number of deaths in Japan, Dresden, Iraq and Afghanistan and so on in the process of eliminating the source of violence.

20. LTTE breached every single ceasefire and used ceasefires to rearm, regroup and prepare for the next war.

Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
Ben Silva
