There is nothing that raises the hackles of the neocolonialists than a developing country havig the leadership, the guts and the vision to stand up against their evil conspiracies. This provokes them to attempt to exercise their control through devious maneouvers including campaigns of disinformation and misinformation, threats through UN agencies they have taken control of, and financial threats. All these evil conspiracies are orchestrated and implemented through the establishment owned media instruments that fool the western world. disguised as guardians of the divine right of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”freedom of expressionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is important to understand these people and events without necessarily being racist, obnoxious or holding a grudge against them. Those who can recognise these operators and their agents through names, obvious physical features and institutional associations would know that the recently expelled James ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”ElderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, even before committing any offence, would have been of suspect character!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The simple fact is that his surname ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”ElderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is highly significant and identifiable for being a descendant of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”you know whoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ type moreover, a guardian of their ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”exclusiveƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ belief sytem, possibly a Rabbi. It is not a mere coincidence that all the meddlers including the political leaders of western countries these days belong to this one group, with the UN support coming in bucket loads from numerous Fionas, Rachels, Rebeccas and Sarahs!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Secondly, he moved to Sri Lanka from Zimbabwe, the other country which dared to stand up for its independence, and rights to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”theirƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ land colonised by British settlers, again, mainly of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”you know whoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ type.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Elder was the Unicef communications chief in Zimbabwe during the peak of the sustained, but failed propaganda campaign of the BBC and their western cohorts against President Mugabe for over a decade. With the apprent ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”seeing of lightƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ by their agent for a long time, Morgan Changarai, they were forced to quieten down. Agents and operaters like Elder had to look for other ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”recalcitrantƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (yes, this is the label they put on independent minded leaders like our President and past leaders like Dr Mahatir Mohamed of Malaysia) and countries trying to stand up on their own.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Elder is garnering a lot of support from those usual quarters. A Unicef agent from New Delhi, named Sarah Crowe, crowed about the Unicef ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”standing byƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ all ElderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s statements. James Alston, another UN ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”RapporteurƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ from Down Under, renewed his futile call for a UN investigation of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”thatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ video. But the most strident attack on Sri Lanka came from the poison pens at that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”guardian of press freedomƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (of the neo-colonial empire really), The Guardian newspaper of 8 September.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Guardian claims that the Sri Lankan government simply does not have the resources to undertake, without international help, the work of repairing infrastructure, restoring economic life, feeding and temporarily housing large numbers of displaced people, and then returning them to their old homes in conditions approaching normality. The editor then catalogues a list of of complaints including not accepting their help, and noted that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”unhappilyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, the attitude has not changed following the victory!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Essentially, all that rubbish was simply prefacing a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”rallying callƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to all the donor nations and the agencies to form ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”a united frontƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to resist this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”unreasonable and ungratefulƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ attitude.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Guardian attempts to take the government to task for wanting to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”micromanage the way it is deployedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”bullyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ those who have the job of delivering it. It is clear that they do not believe that Sri Lanka has a democratically elected government that has the job of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”administeringƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ the country and disllowing a free rein to foreign agents is an important task the people of Sri Lanka are expecting the government to carry out.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Apart from documenting the sheer arrogance of this belief system and approach for the benfit of future generations, th government could conveniently ignore this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”cry of the conspiratorsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Back to the main issue of Elder and the Unicef. The suggestion that the whole of Unicef should be asked to pack up is based on the current pitiful status of of this once-respectable organisation. It is nothing but a tool of US imperialism since its virtual ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”acquisitionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ by the US Conservative administrations of the Bush family.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In the 1970s the Unicef provided the forum for the right to communicate campaign of the non-aligned nationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s movement (NAM) and the debate over a New World Information and Communication Order (NWICO), an extension of the demands for a new world economic order. Its crowning glory was the publication of the (Sean) MacBride report in 1980, a report that analysed communication problems introduced by the Western controlled mass media and news and suggested a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”New World Information and Communication OrderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to further peace and human development.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Deeply concerned about these movements gathering momentum, the US led a vicious campaign against Unesco, supported strongly by the private media industry and CIA fronts such as the World Press ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”FreedomƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Committee. The central allegation was that less developed countries were attempting to impose government control of the media and to suppress freedom of the press ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…”despite the fact that freedom of the press was strongly endorsed at every turn by NWICO.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Over the next two decades, the goals of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”right to communicateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ were systematically undermined and the so-called civil society groups were created throughout the developing world to propagate the opposite concept of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”communication rightsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, basically against governments. These groups marked the global rise of the NGO from the 1980s onwards, creating chaos in domestic environments and internationally through infiltration of the UN system.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Unicef structure reached new low when Ann M. Veneman, a Bush family favourite was appointed Executive Director in 2005. John Nichols wrote in The Nation on 27 March 2005: “Veneman is expected to get the job because of the defining role that the Bush administration plays in the selection process, just as U.S. pressure set up Wolfowitz for the World Bank position. The notion that Veneman would be placed in a position to decide how to feed and care for the planet’s most destitute children is every bit as alarming as the notion that Wolfowitz would be charged with providing aid to developing countriesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The reason for appointing Venman was that Unicef, a main buyer of US wheat, corn and other cereals and farm products could be influenced to buy genetically mainupulated (GM) US food through Veneman, a marketing expert who served as the Secretary of Agriculture and a director of Calgene, Inc., the first company to market GM foods.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ While the developed world is fiercely resisting the campaign by Calgenes of this world to almost force GM foods upon them the, the children and adults in the IDP camps would probably be ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”feasting onƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ the poisonous Unicef ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”donatedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ poison. A good enough reason to send them all back home!
