OPEN LETTER TO SARATH FONSEKA DON’T BE SUBORDINATE TO THE MINISTER

My dear General Fonseka,
The news is that you have been offered a position subordinate to the minister of sports. In short, plain and simple, I must say the offer is an insult on you. My view is you are only subordinate to the President. The position of Secretary to the Ministry of Sports is only good enough to a sergeant of army. Please consider the honour and pride that you earned in winning the war against the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ruthless Terrorists LTTE. You are the General of Sri Lanka Army and the Chief of the Staff of the armed Forces. Is the secretary of a ministry above the status of Army General? If the answer is ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-NOƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ my humble advise to you is ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-please donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t demine yourself in accepting a position not in line with your expertise and certainly you will have to Sir those corrupt politicians. My dear General, you have an unblemished record. You deserve a very handsome retirement package. The stress and pressure you have been through in the recent years are enormous. The patriotic Sri Lankans will worship you as a saviour of our country not forgetting Rajapakse brothers. The President must be sincere in offering you a position in the Sports Ministry to clean up from corruption and there is no doubt you are the eligible candidate to do so. When Rajiv Gandhi became the Prime Minister of India, he pledged to clean India of corruption. He was then known as Mr.Clean. But he couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t even clean his own back yard. That is the nature of Asia. In the event you accept that lower position, I am afraid that your hard earned dignity, pride and the honour will go down the gurgler.

What! Is this some sort of joke, the former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka being offered the position of Secretary to the Ministry of Sport? Considering how the Minister has performed in his role, the Ministry itself is something of a laughing matter. How can the President insult a great and illustrious man in this fashion? Is he trying to do to this man, what the LTTE could not do? This action brings little credit to the President; in my book, he has gone down more than a few pegs.

Dear sir, General Sarath Fonseka,
I came to know this shamless news of appoinment as a ministry of sports secretary in the srilankan media.How could you accept a such post like you,Great comander who comnaded Srilankan forces into victory over tamil terroists(30 years war).I heard your recent speeches that you had no interests in politics only th next wish to eliminate the under world.May be the president wants keep it up alive.You shloud not be allowed work under politicians.This type of political juncture,how srilakans can trust our political leaders in power?

We tell you again and again and again Politics should not be in your Great Military Books.
