I was absolutely baffled by the statement by NDPs Jack Layton and the LiberalƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Bob Rae as Tamil Canadian supporters when you said, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-expressed skepticism at SaturdayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s rally over the promises by Sri Lanka to not only allow the refugees to leave the camps but also to resettle the displaced Tamils.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

These politicians have been living a lie in support of the GTA Tamils to garner their votes to mouth off publicly what the Tamils want them to say so that they canƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ win sympathy to bring over their Tamil relatives and friends from Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  What do you expect, when both these MPs represent constituencies, Toronto Centre and Toronto-Danforth which are teeming with Tamils? ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Bring over these Tamils relatives and friends and the NDP and Liberals will have their voter banks bursting with Tamil votes.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Their manthra is we will speak for you Tamils and in return we want your votes, votes and more votes.

But they donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t seem to care whether these new comers would be a burden on the taxpayers as the majority will go on welfare from the moment they step on to Canadian soil.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That is the rub.

Bob Rae is amazing, incredulous and shameless.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  During the past few months he has been barking at the Sri Lankan government to let the Tamils in the temporary camps in the North go, and now that the Government have let over half the 288,000 return to their restructured and new homes, he is now questioning, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-They are allowing some people to leave, but there is a question of where they are going.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Little wonder why this politician was not allowed to enter that island some weeks ago.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Sri Lankan government has figured it out that this man is a trouble maker lacking ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ basic traits of political sensibility and honesty.

It was onlyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ last ThursdayƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ (19th ) that the United Nations Under Secretary General Sir John Homes was full of praise for the Government of Sri Lanka. and said what matters is commitment and not deadlines or time frames.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  However, the Sri Lankan Government has announced that all the welfare camps will be completely closed by January 31, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 2010, having resettled all the 288,000 Tamils who were rescued from the clutches of the Tamil Tigers on May 18, in their new homes.
