Is Fonseka the agent of the Assembly of God cult at The Sunday Leader?

One positive consequence of the illegal US invasion of Iraq is that many intelligence agents and analysts these days do what they can to prevent any repetition of such dastardly acts ever again. They pass on information freely these days to friends and even to acquaintances so that the lies and conspiracies are exposed in time.
According to a former US intelligence officer stationed in Colombo between 2005 and 2009, the codename for Sarath Fonseka in their secret communications was ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”FOFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. The business of codenames is generally interesting but in FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s case it is particularly so.
You see, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”FOFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ denotes ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Fresh Over the FenceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, a derogatory nickname the US border guards use to refer to Mexicans who illegally cross the southern border. The reason for Fonseka earning this moniker was his Spanish sounding surname and that he held a US Green Card!
Our much decorated ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Common CandidateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ however, appears blissfully oblivious to such put downs by the Masters of the Universe. In fact, he met US Ambassador Patricia Butenis while the last acts of the drama of his ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”common candidacyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ were being played out. These days Butenis would be doing her nails with more care than usual!
The dishonorable game Fonseka is playing raises many issues about the manƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s character that were previously obscured by the enormous sacrifices of the soldiers he led. Now it appears that he is an ace ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”whingerƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. His haranguing over the privileges he lost since retirement shows that he unreasonably expects the state to sustain him forever.
There is more disturbing evidence that Fonseka developed a close clandestine relationship with Robert O. Blake well before the final phase of the war. He may well have agreed to hand over Prabhakaran to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”a third countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ if not for the strong stance taken by the government. Many Sri Lankans will be shocked to hear that the purpose of his recent ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”troubledƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ trip to the US was really for finlising BlakeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s arrangements for campaign financing. Solid evidence of FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s duplicity will reach the appropriate authorities in the coming months, hopefully before January 26, 2010.
While Fonseka is still in the game, let us take a careful look at what a traitor he is proving to be. Firstly, he is wanting to be the executive president of Sri Lanka while strongly demonstrating his slavish commitment to another country, the USA. His family is living there and he is extremely keen to become a naturalised citizen of that country. He does not seem to possess adequate decency or intellect to recognise how demeaning it is to Sri Lanka to have a person who wants to be its future leader being a citizen of another country.
If Fonseka cares to look at the comparable situation in the US itself, naturalised citizens (such as him) are not eligible to become President or Vice President! Why should Sri Lanka allow a foreigner to become its leader? Notwithstanding his past military service Fonseka already is, and desperately wants to be an American, a foreigner in terms of Sri Lankan entitlements. Fonseka canƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t have the cake and eat it too. The Rajapakse campain needs to focus on this subservient mentality of Fonseka and point this out to the unsuspecting voting public.
Even more important is as to whom Fonseka represents? The UNP endorsement of the so-called United National Front (UNF) is not whole hearted and it does not seem to formally include the JVP who are promising to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”backƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ him, but not appear together on the same platform. When itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s the JVP, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”backingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ can meet different things!
Then we are told that Fonseka is representing something called the Democratic Alliance, apparently the new brand name of an outfit previously known as the United National Alliance (UNA). Without having much information about the UNA, one might say that the chosen symbol of the UNA, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”swanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ will need to be changed to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”duckƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to symbolise FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s vigorous beneath the surface peddling activity that is coming to light.
What policy or action agenda does Fonseka have for Sri Lanka? It appears his plans include the abolition of the Executive Presidency, measures to ensure a return to democracy and media freedom. He has declared “I am committed to ensure that law and order is restored in the country. With this in mind, I want to take steps to prevent political interference in the working of the Police.”
But these are all platitudes. Democracy is already firmly in place and is working fine. Executive presidency has not made Sri Lanka a dictatorship. Its detractors are those who believe they will never be able to win it. After all, we are about to have an election, monitored by the likes of the European Union. DoesnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t this make all RanilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s and FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s XmasƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s come at once?
This sort of poppycock is no substitute for sensible home-grown economic plans necessary to feed and clothe the poor in Sri Lanka, those forgotten people outside IDP camps. We need leaders with plans and capacity to economically advance the country, without marketing the American agenda of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”no bread, have circusesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. Fonseka does not seem to fit the bill. Changing the military uniform to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”alagoniyaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is not going to make one a national leader.
What gives a truer indication of what and whom Fonseka represents is his support base that is ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”slowlyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ emerging.
The first function Fonseka attended was the formation of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”National Lawyers’ AssociationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, a break-away group of lawyers, old UNP hacks really, not necessarily loyal to Ranil. The garlanding of a photograph of the late Christian fundamentalist warrior Lasantha Wickramatunga by Fonseka raised eyebrows because the cult at The Sunday Leader had accused Fonseka and the army of WickrematungaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s murder. Such behaviour shows that there are orders from high above. I mean Robert Blake and the US embassy in Colombo!
This theory of the most ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”unholyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ union between the Christian fundamentalist cult and Fonseka is further corroborated by the almost unimaginably ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”favourable reportingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ on FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s candidacy by The Sunday Leader. A smiling Fonseka, the alleged murderer of Wickramatunga braces the front page of the rag! The editorial penned by that woman who seems to think that she ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”sits on where the sun rises fromƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, Frederica Jansz, patronises Fonsea.
After castigating the UNP and JVP for not getting the public to rise up in protest about ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”this blatant abuse of powerƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (not allowing unethical religious conversions?), Frederica Jansz advises Fonseka that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-He should not tolerate even those saintly looking personalities clad in spotless white with trays of flowers in handƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. In other words, victimise Buddhists!
Someone called Munza Mushtaq, possibly a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”young buckƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ at this prestigious school of ethical journalism headlines a speech by Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”By hook or by crookƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. Sensational!! Another columnist Vathsala declares: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-In Gen Fonseka they have found a candidate that is a winnerƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. How deluded are these people? It is all the fault of cult brainwashing.
There is more to come! None of the other reporters, editors or columnists at The Sunday Leader comes even close to the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Jew of the PortƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (van der Pooten) who seems to have an IQ lower than the number of the page his ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”columnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (of excreta) appears on!
He makes such erudite statements as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-That the current regime is the most corrupt, unscrupulous, unprincipled and ruthless seems beyond argumentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ that reflect the effects of incestuous cultish behaviour on mental health.
This absolute ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”nobodyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ who has nothing to offer Sri Lankan society but an ego inflated by his ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”achcharuƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ heritage seems to think that he is part of the international Zionist ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”eliteƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (another deluded group!). Going back to FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s whinging, he has said exclusively, to who else but to The Sunday Leader, that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-I am certain they will resort to violence as well as large scale rigging. The IDPs will be issued Identity Cards to vote but I am certain they will not be given those cards, instead they will be given to pro-government supporters to use. I can only hope that independent election observers and monitors will be vigilant and ensure that a free and fair election is held to uphold democracyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.
Then Fonseka whinges at the government lifting of road closures for VIP traffic. ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-They did this on purpose so I cannot travel, he said, asserting, my life is at grave risk they even withdrew my motorcycle outriders last week threatening them with leave of absence if they did not report back with immediate effectƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ he said.
For heavens sake, Fonseka needs to stop putting every one who ever wore a military uniform to shame and show the country that he has some dignity by not crying out for government ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”goodiesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.
Fonseka needs to stop shamelessly providing succour to the sinister agenda of Christian fundamentalists. He needs to tell the country where he stands on the unethical conversions legislation.
Finally, Fonseka needs to be prepared for a US War crimes charge sheet when he looses the election and goes to America to live.

Any adult Citizen has a constitutional right to contest the presidential election e respective of race, religion, gender, cast, or any other thing. Even Rodiyas, Veddas, ceylon chettys, malays, moors, burgers and tamils may contest the election.

Dear Ajit, I am impressed by your analytical skills that could be an asset to future of Sinhale’ (Lanka). Our country is infested with vagrants who have become a pestilence holding us back, unfortunately due to their bogus Sinhalisation without properly embracing our values. This is where English are more successful by forcing all others to follow their values to the hilt even to live another day. Interestingly, what happens now is a slow and steady process of cleansing so that we could have a much better future. What happens at the moment is just another episode of this process. All those Sinhala speaking migrants who left the country seeking greener pastures could immensely help the wellbeing of our country by persuading those local English speaking scum living in Lanka to join their unknown fathers in the west. A helping hand is the most welcome gesture as we can accelerate this cleansing process without using alternative methods that could make us lose our values and bring us closer to English as an ethnic identity.

There are many deluded jokers who say that our country is daham deepaya! In fact it is Sinhala deepaya where half the meaning of the word ‘Sinhala” refers to spilling blood (by lions). There is nothing wrong with spilling blood to achieve our cherished goal of living longer because it is the only way to defeat bloodthirsty mass murders in various shapes and forms including those in religious hides that shorten our lives.
