If ten (10) astrologers are consulted on the same matter, they will come up with ten different opinions. But what is indisputable is the effects of bad Dasas. Although the bad effects may be mild or harsh based on the birth chart, it is indisputable that bad effects will follow during bad Dasas especially for those in nationally commanding positions. Effects are not same across the Dasas as they have sub-periods. However, the overall characteristics of sub-periods depend on most part on the major period transiting.

Sarath Fonseka was born on 18th December 1950 at 2:04 a.m. He will be 59 years old at the time of the election in 2010. Based on his birth date and time, his Dasa periods can be calculated. He is ending his Kuja (Mars) major Dasa early 2013 and the next is the Rahu major period (Dasa). Rahu major period lasts 18 years.

Interestingly his new found ally Ranil Wickramasinghe is no better. Starting from 2003, Ranil is passing through the Henahuru (Saturn) maha Dasa which is equally inimical to the subject. This will last for close to 19 years.

In contrast, President Rajapaksha is entering Guru (Jupiter) major period starting from early 2010. Given that Jupiter is extremely well positioned in his natal chart, the Jupiter major period should generally bring good for him and his fellow citizens as well.

Of course astrology has its limitations. Basing astrology to make critical decisions is not advisable. And the nation should not be guided by the personal birth times of individuals. Having said that, there is a huge attempt to show by crooked means that Sarath Fonseka is well positioned astrologically to rule Sri Lanka, which is not true.

This malicious attempt to spread misinformation to the society to achieve heinous ends must be exposed. Those who believe in astrology numbering a few millions should not be fooled by politically motivated astrologists. Unfortunately for them, astral beings donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t share their political aspirations. According to their own understanding, having an unproven politician with a drastically bad Dasa period transiting at the helm of the country is disastrous. Rahu denotes unrest, rioting, racial superiority claims, fires, immoral and degenerating conduct, displacement of self and family, all round destruction and perpetual misery. According to astrology, this is what a person born on 18 December 1950 at 2:04 a.m. has in stock for him by the time reaches 63 years in 2013.

It is noteworthy to mention JR Jayawardena became the national leader during his Guru (Jupiter) Dasawa which is considered highly beneficial even if the natal chart does not have Jupiter associated with power. However, during his term it elapsed and the Henahuru (Saturn) major period commenced. Both President Premadasa and Wijetunga ascended to power during their Venus major period which is considered immensely beneficial.

It is a ruinous mixture when Henahuru Ranil joins Rahu Sarath to become Executive Prime Minister and Executive President respectively! If these two persons take control of the nation, its subjects will suffer immensely for a very long time. Going by astrology alone, hopefully, this would not be the fate of Sri Lanka from 2010 to 2026.
