COURT MARTIAL SARATH FONSEKA; DIS-HONOURABLY DISCHARGE FROM ARMY; SF AN ENEMY OF THE NATION, WORSE THAN PRABHAKARAN!

General Sarath Fonseka has betrayed the country in style. Living in a dreamland to become the President, he has spoken out of turn, conducted himself to bring disgrace to the entire Army, its serving men, women and breached the Oath as an ex-Army Officer, He has divulged the most sensitive information and thus need to be disciplined forthwith.

The Court Martial proceedings against this ex-Army Officer must begin immediately. There has been several such Court Martial proceedings world wide, including India, against ex-Army Officers for breach of conduct and the Oath. SF is no doubt a high security threat to Sri Lanka. If an ex-Army Officer behaved in this manner in developed countries, Court Martial proceedings would have already begun. In our part of the world, eg. Singapore would have found a nice little cage for ex-officers like SF in the maximum security Changi Prison without trial for an indefinite period.

At the end of Court Martial proceedings, if SF is found guilty, he deserve to be given a dis-honourable discharge from Sri Lankan Army plus a prison sentence.

As far as Prabhakaran was concerned, we all knew he was an Enemy of innocent Tamils and Sri Lankan nation as a whole. But now it is abundantly clear SF is worse than Prabha.

There is also a lesson from this episode for the President Mahinda Rajapakse. The President must have realized by now that others who are close to him are not as honest and trustworthy.

Enemies are easily identifiable, but identifying who are loyal and trustworthy can be most difficult. This can happen to a President at political level. It can happen to any ordinary citizen, a family member, Father or Mother in a family. Life-time experience of everyone must re-shape the future thinking. Who can be trusted today?

Digahayu Sri Lanka, Dirgahayu President Mahinda Rajapakse.

I am glad to read this article and appreciate reading your mind, as we had known this person for what he is, a long time ago including the likes of RW, MR, SA (JVP), MS, etc. But, I would suggest that many of you who may know only a little about the true past of other stake holders due to their artful manipulations, both in Government and opposition politics, to be more reserved in appreciating any of them, as knowing the real persons possessing these mixed barrel-like human bodies could be totally strange bedfellows. Based on established conduct of this people, it is highly unlikely that there will be a sort of western-style justice meted out due to uncertainty and enmity that would create among the fellowship united under the banner of holding power excluding native Sinhala people, I mean, the vast majority of who got nothing to do with English or their way of life faithfully followed by this group. Of course, in the extreme cases, covert action to bump off adversaries would be employed as done before.

As an alternative, I would not be surprised if SF joins MR after imminent defeat at the presidential election, I said because for the voting public, SF is a stranger introduced by the ruling party without considering the controversial effect of turning a man with absolutely nothing to some sort of hero. As you see from the record, blackmailing into submission was used as an effective tool to stay in power in true western style democracy. Unless that happens, SF will be most likely spending rest of his time in an isolated prison somewhere else in the world thanks to his own doing. For the people I relate to who got no reason to hide their feelings, SF is just a making of Mangala Samaraweera and JVP, nothing more than that. If SF loses he becomes a nobody, not even worth a penny.

The stark prediction, I want to add is that all the members of this exclusive club who have inherited Throne from their erstwhile English masters are coming close to their day of reckoning for the crimes committed against Sinhala people, who have done nothing wrong to them except giving them the chance to live as humans, something that they are never entitled to. In a few years’ times, I am pretty sure that you may add a few more of your favourite names to SF’s journey when you realise how patriotic these people are. The real curse we face is the JVP that we tend to ignore amid all the noises created by SF.
