Pawnseka should throw in the towel ‘now’ to save himself and the nation

The US and Norwegian sponsored anti-corruption brigadeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s attempt to bribe National Freedom Front (NFF) MP Mohamed Muzzamil is polemicistƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s dream. It provides more ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”I told you soƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ opportunities than a drunken gamblerƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s wife would get in a casino!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ However, avenues available for the honest expression of contempt and indignation over this dastardly act are narrower than one would expect. In March 2004, when Tony Blair went to Tripoli to apologise to Colonel Muammar Gadaffi for past bombings of Libya including the murder of his little daughter, Gadaffi resorted to the traditional Arabic way of expressing extreme contempt by pointing at bare feet and loudly breaking wind; he did so with gusto, according to John Simpson of the BBC who stood in the breeze!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But this method is simply out of the question for a lad bearing the seal of Sri Lankan middle class upbringing. Starting with a witticism of some obscure western pundit is also out of the question because goody two-shoes polemicists like Tisaranee Gunasekara have put this once useful writerƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s tool in to disrepute through sheer, meaningless, overuse.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ So we are left with no option but to bear the facts of the situation plainly and simply.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ To put it mildly, MuzzamilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s revelation that the Pawnseka camp offered him a bribe of Rs 30 million for his support is an outrage, as much as it is a serious criminal act. Most sensible people would think that Pawnseka has no other options left now other than to throw in the towel after this latest, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”hand grenade explosion in his handƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. But donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t hold your breath! The manƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s legendary lack of capacity to appreciate the reality of his hopeless situation is likely to keep him in the race, stumbling ingloriously. If, God forbid, Prabhakaran was alive he would be wondering as to how he managed to loose the war!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This disgraceful case of attempted bribery is showing again, apart from its unbelievable stupidity, that hypocrisy and dishonesty are the hallmarks of the Pawnseka ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. This is to be expected because there is no non-corrupt bone in the bodies of Sarath Pawnseka and his puppet masters Somawansa Amerasinghe, Mangala Samaraweera and Ranil Wickremesinghe (a puppet himself). The incident proves that the promise of these men, collectively or individually, to clean Sri Lanka of corruption is a sick joke.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ These episodes of hypocrisy, one after another, are proving that the basing of the so-called ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ on anti-corruption was a cynical attempt aimed at masking the disgraceful records of personal and family corruption, nepotism and incompetency typical of Pawnseka himself and his handlers.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Ranil Wickremesinghe has told Lakbima newspaper that he is apparently fighting the corruption of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”RajapaksesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. The dishonesty of this claim of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”family corruptionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is a joke to those who are aware of the connections among the families of the Wickremesinghes, Wijewardenes, Senanyakes, Jayawardenes, Gooneratnes and Gomeses. It is no secret that these few families are still controlling significant portions of the media, banking and industrial sectors in Sri Lanka. So blind Freddie can see that Ranil canƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t be believed on this score. What he is probably lamenting over is the loss of opportunity for his family to rob Sri Lankns!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Then we have the gnome Amerasinghe who, like his erstwhile leaders Rohana Wijeweera, Lionel Bopage and other JVP charlatans of 1970s vintage, is an amoral foreign spy who would do ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”anythingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to save his life and to make money; he became a RAW spy to secure passage to the UK through India, running away from the comeuppances of the sickening crimes he committed in the late 1980s.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now, there are photos of this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”revolutionary leaderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ cosying up to the woman who is representing the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”source of all evil in the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in Colombo, Patricia Butenis circulating on the web. The forceful expression of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Do as you are told, you midgetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ on ButenisƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ face and the subservient ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Yes, MadamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ expression on the gnomeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s face were revealing! Somawansa Amerasinghe would easily be the nastiest ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”four foot two inchesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ that ever walked the surface of the earth.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Most Sri Lankans are aware that these fraudsters are corrupt to the bone. Fighting corruption was merely the sales pitch given to them by their foreign backers and financiers. The reaction of the Americans and the Norwegians, and the media arm of their operations in Sri Lanka following the unexpected turn of events also showed their contingency preparations.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The French Zionist organ Agence France-Presse (AFP) sprang in to action within a couple of hours from MuzzamilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s news conference, releasing a Newswire, not carrying the news itself, but the headline ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-US, Norway deny funding Sri Lanka oppositionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The thief representing Norway in Sri Lanka claimed that the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-accusation is untrue and totally unacceptable. Norway has never ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” and will never ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” interfere in an election in another country.” The US operatives reassured that they are ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-neutral on the presidential election, strongly condemn allegations and ready to work with any governmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ One could believe these liars if not for their record of setting up puppet regimes through the blatant undermining of democracy through bribery and corruption, as in the cases of Ngo Dinh Diem in Vietnam, Shah of Iran, Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines, and many others. The long and the short is that the newest name on this list of traitors is Fonseka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The conspiracy is not yet over despite the debacles such as the Muzzamil bribery case; they will keep hatching plots involving such things as bogus ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”exposesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and post-election plans.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ One of the latest exposes by a JVP ‘heavyweight’ (only on the scale!) named Anura Kumara Dissanayake involves an alleged link between President RajapakseƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s son Namal and an LTTE operative named Emilkanthan. Who is this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”talking monkeyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ trying to deceive? This particular allegation, based on information passed on by Tiran Alles at the time of his arrest for passing on money to the LTTE, has been around at least since mid-2007. It was being thrown around by the then ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”love birdsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Lasantha Wickramatunga and Sonali Samarasinghe, for much more than its real worth, and to no effect. Now the JVP has rediscovered it with photos and all! The cult newspaper, as usual, is dishonestly promoting the story without revealing its history.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We also have the aforementioned ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”goody two-shoesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Tisaranee Gunasekara (who seems to have joined the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”unbowed and unafraidƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ at the Assembly of false Gods) claiming ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Towards An Unfree ElectionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. What she is doing in fact is pushing the misguided Ranil-Mangala orthodoxy that: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The decisive role in this election may well fall upon the minorities in general and the Tamils in particularƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. They are dreaming!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Then she goes on to build the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”straw manƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ argument by hypothesising that, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-If a majority of Tamils decide to exercise their rights, and ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”ifƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ they do so on the basis of denying the incumbent a second term, an outright victory may require violence and malpractices, on a discernible scale. The politico-psychological justification for such deeds is being created with the transformation of the presidential election from a necessary democratic exercise to a political war for the salvation of the nationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Such outrageously bogus ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”theoriesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ are going to form the basis of the post-election phase of the conspiracy, of claims of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”vote-riggingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Most Sri Lankans are aware that what these foreign conspirators are trying to achieve in Sri Lanka today is to set up a puppet regime nominally headed by their pawn, surrounding him with other back-bone less and corrupt opportunists Ranil Wickremesinghe and Amerasinghe, and personally compromised, sad case of Mangala Samaraweera.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ A future government composed of these traitors would make Sri Lanka a satellite state of America, regressing the gradual political achievements Sri Lanka has been able to make at lest since 1817, and putting the stability of the south Asian region in peril. It is a misfortune of highest proportions that people without the right moral, political and economic perspective, those of the ilk of Pawnseka and Wickremesinghe ever got in to potential leadership positions in Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ There is a saying amongst American cynics that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-America cannot ever be too smelly to do business withƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Unfortunately, their pawn in Sri Lanka fails to meet even these cynical standards.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Down with pawnseka!

    Ajith,

I fully agree with the responses from the US and Norway, “Norway has never – and will never – interfere in an election in another country.” The US operatives reassured that they are “neutral on the presidential election, strongly condemn allegations and ready to work with any government”.

Both these countries have proven that they never directly interfere in politics of Sri Lanka. They just get the Sri Lankans to do the dirty work for them. They just make sure that the LTTE propaganda machinery works well, they get the LTTE sympathisers to disrupt life in Canada and the UK, they get LTTE operatives to self-immolate in Tamil Nadu, they lobby the UN and plant LTTE sympathisers in the UN, they use HRW and the AI for their political agenda, they supply heavy machinery, radio transmitters and weapons to LTTE so that the LTTE can eliminate the people who do not toe their political line.

What a pathetic joke from these so-called ‘do-gooders’ and the sad thing is that some people in Sri Lanka will actually believe them despite all these atrocities conduct by these two pariah nations.

Sri Lankans need to think through carefully:
Sarath Fonseka has already shown a serious LOYALTY DEFICIT insofar as the nation is concerned.
Can he be entrusted to take care of Sri Lanka’s national security and the nation’s dignity in the eyes of the world when he has demonstrated that he does not have the character to uphold them as his primary responsibilities to the nation ?

Dear Ajit, thank you for your stand on the matter. The continuing success of westerners have been the result of their meticulous planning, ably aided and abetted by migrants inimical to their countries of previous residence. Since many countries lack the proper leadership due to natural laws of succession, this rise of thieves is a clear proof that thieves are the only active members of the humanity doing exactly what they are good at. You know that thieves never take holidays like others and have an alert mind to seek opportunities around them, a natural gift to help succeed. Unfortunately, they have laid down their plans well and have succeeded so far in their plan to expand continually. Invasion, occupation and subsequent subjugation have given them the upper hand to create a class of semi-thieves born to the lower ranks of the occupied countries who were given higher positions of authority to represent them, the likes of people you mentioned in Lanka. Since we did not have the anti-theft capabilities to counter their expansion, they have grown in multitudes. As usual, nature has created the response to reverse their successes by producing people like you, me and others who understand them, but without succumbing to their will. So it is a good sign. It is time to stand up and return the favours in the same language that they understand and to clean up the mess left behind them. It is better if we dump the garbage in their backyards. For that we need the people who understand them to guide our endeavours to regain our losses and to seek justice. It is true that they have answers for all the outcomes as you said to cover up their tracks. Like wise, we know their weaknesses and how to exploit them. There is nothing wrong or dirty in this world as long as it is done to save lives and to save the nature. What we need is to unleash our wrath in the form of knowledge sharing to sent them back to where they originally belonged. Expansion, domination, export of values etc. are not something exclusive to a person, group or community. In fact, the best people who should have done it in the first place have remained the last on this planet, who should take the responsibility for the burden of negligence that left our lives in shambles. Unless we destroy evil that brings death and suffering to life, it keeps multiplying according to rules of nature. Those who preach us to close our eyes and and wish everything is fine are the worst of all evils who should be thrown out first.

I agree with all the above comments. It is obvious that the Western Powers and USA are backing Fonseka and supporting him financially. In the USA where I lived for 30 years money is the only God. They believe that with their Dollar they can buy anything or anybody on earth, so much for the politicians who changed sides. I suggest that the dept of internal Revenue should audid these turncoats and tax them for the illgotton wealth if they cannot be charged for a criminal act under Sri Lankan Law. In future the law should be amended to say that any politician who wins a party seat and tries to change sides should be removed and a fresh election held for that seat. In democracy the candidate represents the people who voted for him. He has no personal ownership to the seat.

The next thing Sri Lankans have to watch out for is the Iran Situation. This can be arranged with foreign money and JVP thugs. They will start riots and when the govt. tries to quell the riots some will get hurt or killed. Then they will yell violation of human rights and appeal to the West and USA to save them. This is to pave the way for UN peacekeeping forces to enter the country. The CIA has plenty of experience doing this kind of work.

  5. manuri Says:

I like your thought on if Prabakaran lived how he would be wondering how he lost the war with this kind of stupidity and scandal coming up in sri lankan politics

I often wonder why all these elements are not letting sri lanka alone.

ajith, your thoughts are great write more often ,we need people like u to pen even few lines not all the diplomatic provocations from women like TG(I long given up reading TG,my blood therefore does not boil.

As commented above about the Iran situation it can happen after election ,so sri lanka and it’s people should better watch out.

If only these brown skinned people understand even at this late stage that these westerners never come for the love of us but with ‘catches’ and they will never sleep until they divided China ,India, and many nation who have seen this long before and taken steps to stop this ,is all I want.

but sadly stupit YOU,ME,HE,SHE,IT and everything in between have divided on freaking issues that doesn’t mean anything and killing each other.

    when are we going to learn?The GREATEST threat is this big freaking white world people get it,Look what they did to pakistan,Ir;

    do we want more?

these freaking white countries where I have been to in thier so called “International Airport’s” they check for used shoes with soil in it not to been taken to the country, that is how they safegurad their soil free from foreign elements.
what do we do instead Let any freaking “white guy.or women ‘in the form of NGO come in with open arms and open everything that is possible to poision our lands our culture, our children our heritage etc

and what’s more our elections will not be free if not monitored by these freaking “whites”

    Are we free yet?are we
this comments has nothing to do with racism come to white countries to experience the real ‘racism”

Why is it that only sri lanka should have press freedom, human rights, equality, women’s rights, conflitct resolutions, anger management, etc I even remember that someone was writing when President Obama was elected as a black president why sri lanka not have one so far?and someone answered saying we had one and LTTE killed him referering to late Mr. kadirgama.

  6. ajit.rand Says:

Many thanks for your kind comments, interest and encouragemnt.

All thinking Sri Lankans need to pass the message to Sri Lankan people that Sri Lanka needs to be saved from foreign agents.

Hope Pawnseka will learn his lesson on the 26th.

    Best wishes

    Ajit
