By Dr M D P DISSANAYAKE

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The colourful (or discolourful) vocabulary of SF has surprised many in Sri Lanka and worldwide. His selection of words for different situations, had been well below the standards of a professional ex-Army Commander. His own dictionary must be full of these abrupt and abusive words. Compare the speeches of SF with that of Dr G P Malalasekera, Dr W S Karunaratne, Mr S W R D Bandaranaike, of yester years. The audience listen attentively with great admiration to those intellectuals. It is a well known fact that during his tenure in Office, SF has practically run the Army in the most dictatorial fashion, insulting and punishing his subordinates, both Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers, and their families. He is certainly a worst animal than Hitler or Idi Ameen.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ You cannot find the respect and honour we all had for this man which has now evaporated into thin air. The admiration people of Sri Lanka had for this potential future leader has now gone out of window. Up until now, there were only two political leaders in Sri Lanka who used dirty language in criticizing political opponents. They were R Premadasa and Chandrika Kumaratunga. But RP and CB did not go down to this level of disgusting language.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Mahinda Rajapakse camp has worked out SFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s weaknesses extremely well. To get bad words out of SFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s big mouth, all you need to do is to provoke him. When SF is provoked, he will come out with his barrel of dirty words, that will eventually lose thousands of votes.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now it is too late for SF to speak in good Sinhala to win ordinary Sri LankanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s vote. He has dug a big hole by himself. His demise is absolutely certain. Ranil must be kicking himself for selecting a person such as SF to represent him and his party.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ What is the purpose of SF using hath foul language? Is it because he cannot control his anger. ? Or is it because he cannot find some other set of words to reply to opponents, that will display his maturity and intelligence? When you are put in a difficult situation by your opponents, you should be smart enough not to fall victim to their plans. But SF has displayed the characteristics of a Rude and an Angry Man. Yelling at people, using demeaning language, has brought down his own status.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If you are running to become the Executive President of a country, you should be extremely smart in the selection of spoken language.

Above description of SF is exactly correct and such a person should not be elected as a President of a country.Reasons being that he cannot control his temper. To call a person who has pointed a finger at him a KALAVEDDA is self explainatory of the type of character he possess. He will take REVENGE from each and every one who belittled him. SF was accusing Illangantilleke for not being GREATEFUL in a very angry manner. But SF himself has forgotten who elevated him to the Army Commander’s post and provided financial aid to SF’s daughters to study in USA. Had SF been the President and MR the AC and tries to contest against SF,we can imagine what sort of harrassments could befall on MR?

The problem of SF is he is clueless in Tamil, frighten of English and weak in Sinhala. I was shocked to find that his command of Sinhala was very poor. SF has studied at Ananda for couple of years, he must have been a very ordinary student.

Those who cannot meet arguments logically, rationally, sensibly or calmly are prone to raise their voices and lose their tempers and resort to foul language. Those who turn to foul language and swear words also show the shallowness of their vocabularies. In the campaign to date, SF has amply demonstrated, if nothing else, by his poor language, that he is not worthy of the high office he is after. He seems to be no better, in the way he has reacted to accusations against him, than the thugs he has promised to bring to order.

It’s really funny, person who wants to be next president, do not know, how to address the press conference. If you do not vote for him, you will be called KALAWEDDA at the next press conference on 27th January.
