Hon. Erik Solheim
Minister for Environment & International Development
Government of Norway,
Norway.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Dear Sir:
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
I am writing regarding your “congratulatory” message to the President of Sri Lanka on his re-election.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  You indicate that Norway “intends to continue co-operation with the Government and people of Sri Lanka with a view to promoting lasting peace and development”.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
If your message had concluded with that sentiment the Government and people of Sri Lanka would have considered it a change of attitude on your part and the Government of Norway which the whole world knows was very close to the Tamil Tiger terrorists and that you in particular did your best to achieve ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for the Tamil terrorists their goal of dividing Sri Lanka to create their “Eelam”. Considering your role of funding the Tamil Tigers byƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ paying Prabhakaran large sums of money to buy arms, attempting to “legitimise” terrorists and present them to the world as equals to the elected government of Sri Lanka, it is difficult for Sri Lankans to accept yourƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  “concern” regarding reports of unrest and violence in the run up to the election, as well as of possible violations of the election law, and your urging the Government of Sri Lanka to investigate these allegations. In the past, your “concern” for Sri Lanka led toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ an increase of terrorism and thousands of civilians being killed by your Tamil Tiger friends whose welfare was your only “concern”. The unrest and violence in the run up to the election was miniscule compared to what the people of Sri Lanka faced from your Tamil Tiger associates and that of past elections when the LTTE hierarchy was in existence.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The opportunity for the country as a whole to take part in this election without LTTE terrorism is not because of your help but in spite of your best efforts to protect, sustain and evacuate your LTTE friends so that they could continue to survive and terrorise the people of Sri Lanka. It is not necessary for you to advise the government of Sri Lanka to “investigate allegations in accordance with Sri Lankan law and the country’s democratic traditions”. To a government that managed to wipe out the terrorist hierarchy which you supported to the very end, this type of advise is not only unnecessary but coming from you who was directly and indirectly responsible for LTTE terrorism, it is totally uncalled for.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Government of Sri Lanka would be well advised to ignore your remarks as to the people of Sri Lanka you have been an ally of the Tamil terrorists and by providing them with the means to terrorise the population you have the blood of Sri Lankans on your hands.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
As for your “I hope President Rajapaksa will give priority to finding a political solution that is acceptable to all groups,”ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as stated by the President, any solutions to “political problems” in Sri Lanka will be home grown. Having experienced the solutions that you provided, which was the promotion of “Eelam” for the Tamil terrorists,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ your advise on political solutions should be confined to Norway.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka does not need yourƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ hypocritical advise and should be on guard against ever givingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ youƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ANY role in Sri Lanka’s politics.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Yours truly
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

It seems some people simply can’t take a hint. It should be clear to Mr Solheim that Sri Lanka is unlikely to welcome Norway back in anything like its previous role, considering the manner in which it conducted itself the last time. I hope the President replied saying ‘Thank you but No, Thank You’.

  2. Kit Athul Says:

HE M.R. Clearly said that there is not going to be an Indian or Norwegian political solutions. What Erik Solheim and Ranil did 2002 must never be forgotton by any Sinhala. This man MUST never be allowed to come to Sri Lanka again. Norway claims that they gave 16 millian US dollars as aid for resettlement in 2009. Where did this money go? Even the clown, Norwegian Priminsiter Jens Stoltenberg has sent a letter of congratualations to HE M.R. I do not not know why Sinhala writers do not qusetion these two clowns, Solheim and Stoltenberg about the Tamil Terrorists who broke in to the SL embassy and damaged it, are not been charged with any crime? Tamils in Norway said that in a video, they will never be charged! I suggest Ira De Silva should write about this issue and bring it to the open.

  3. Sri Rohana Says:

Anti Singhalese anti Sri Lankan Norwegian racist Solheim got a real good reply. Eric Solheim is a snake in the grass. He is throughout a lap dog of racist tamil terrorists. He and his racist bogus tamil refugee diasporas have not given up the agenda of divide our motherland. Very simply we have to tell him we don’t want your advises at all. You mind your own business Eric.

  4. Siri Says:

Eric Solheim should keep in mind that Sri Lanka has a population of 20 million people. There are many Patriotic Sri Lankans in every corner of the globe who wish their motherland well. Foreign politicians were bribed with money collected by the LTTE through extortion, robbery, credit card fraud and drug trafficking. These Bribe taking politicians are guilty of all these illegal activities of the LTTE as they gained from it. The voters should keep this in mind when they cast their vote for these crooked politicians.
