TRAGEDY OF THE SINHALA NATION

SINHALA PATRIOT

The Sinhalese the inhabitants of Sinhale has a written history of 2500 years. During this time it attained the heights of civilisation as seen in the archaeological ruins in the North Central Province. However it was never able to maintain social stability because of Invasions from India. The Sinhalese were pushed further and further to the south. Right through history the Sinhala people have been made to fight for her survival. Sinhalese have displayed resilience to maintain her identity be it the language ,culture or Buddhism. In fact it has accepted the worship of Hindu gods as a way of acceding to Indian power but at the same time adhering to the tenets of Buddhism.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  In the last 500 years the Sinhalese were colonised by the Europeans and the Nayakkar dynasty from India. In this tragic past of the Sinhalese , a creative, compassionate society was converted to a servile colony of the foreigners . It wasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Radhakrishnan who said that one must be proud of once past but must yearn for the truth. The truth is that it was the disunity of the Sinhala nation that opened the doors for the enemies. Until such time the Sinhala nation understands who there enemies are the Sinhalese can once again expect there life to be dominated and there culture and religion destroyed by foreigners.

During the periods of foreign intervention our leaders have shown that self was the most important and the country meant nothing to them.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  To achieve there aims they were quite willing to work hand in glove with the enemies of the country who had other ideas. We are back in that state now.

To asses where we go from here we need to understand both the internal and external threats. The internal threat to the Sinhala nation has been always ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ from the minorities. These minority ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ communities during the British colonial period were the slaves used by the colonialists to dominate the Sinhala nation. Ever since independence they have used every argument to continue that domination whether it was 50/50 or separatism based on annexation of Sinhala land ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ These minorities would never stop until the Sinhala nation unites and asserts her power.

A power that needs to assert compassion and fair play that will not only consolidate society but also make the minorities feel confident in a system that is fair. The Sinhala nation has always asserted that sense of morality when they offered refuge to the Muslims who were persecuted by the Portuguese or the Catholics who were given refuge when persecuted by the Dutch.

The external threat we have has always been India and the European nations. India has always been the enemy of the Sinhala nation right through history. Is it therefore not surprising that India was the first to attempt destabilisation of the Sinhala nation once again using the minorities. We have overcome after 30 years the Tamil rebellion but India has not forgotten to exploit the weakened Sinhala nation. She has very serruptiously moved in acquiring economic targets in Sri Lanka. There high commissioner tours the north and the east as if Sri Lanka is her colony.

The latest demand to have a consulate in Jaffna confirms there ulterior motives. Europeans on the other hand pretend to be a friend of SL but undermines the country by encouraging descent through her NGOsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  and puppets. Is it not ironic that recently a meeting was arranged in Sweden of the minority politicians to organise a front against the Sinhalese. Not one single world was heard from our so called leaders as it was the god given right for the white men to interfere. I wonder what the response would be if Iran organises a meeting of the dissident Muslims of EuropeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  or for that matter America.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In this defined moment in history of Sri Lanka just after a final war against the tigers have been won the true colours of the nationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s leaders have become apparent. The quality of both political and the Religious leadership is akin to the leadership we had when we succumbed to foreign invaders. They ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ have no vision, no integrity and self before country has been there main theme, greed and avarice is there guiding light. The latest news of the arrest of General Fonseka further confirms it all. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

The religious leaders are no different. Malwatta and Asgiriya chapters are an insult to all Buddhists in the country. There in action and acceptance of gifts from the political leadership has made them ineffective. There inability to safe guard the poor and protest against the corruption have made the compliant with the violence and corruption of the political leadership.

It is time the Sinhalese demand unity from their leadership and acceptance civilised behaviour. If not the enemies of Sri Lanka be it the Indians or the Ex colonialists will continue to destabilise and exploit the Sinhala nation. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The fate of Sri Lanka will be determined by the UNITY OF THE SINHALESE.

We have a gereat leder with vision, integrity and he has definetely put country before his self. He dilivered his promise to the nation, which no other leader could even emagined to do. He achived this with great obstacles from both internal and external. If any Sri Lankan cannot see this, we are definitely in BIG trouble. There will be NO OTHER to save SL from external EVIL. There are NO alternatives. The seperatis forces are very active, using power hungry, lying puppets like SF. It is a SAD situation when our people do NOT see this.

Read what a TRUE patriot who has been defending SL against all Evil, for many many years ,who is an inspiration to all patriotic Sri Lankans have to say about SF arrest.

/That is what Commander Sarath Fonseka wanted to do so badly. Wanted to be the President of Sri Lanka by hook or by crook, and I am not sure what he was thinking when he publicly announced through a journalist that he would spurn the bravery and sacrifices of his soldiers by exposing them to an international war crimes court on human rights violations for carrying out his own orders in the field during the last days of the war. He abdicated his military command and respect of being ‘an officer and a gentleman’ by abandoning his military protocols which he had sworn into for his ego and ambition.

Media reports say that he has been charged for engaging in political activity aimed at targeting and undermining the state which he was sworn to serve whilst in uniform; conspiring against his Commander-in-Chief whilst holding the highest rank in the Army; Creating a private army of more than 1,500 deserters whilst holding the office of the Army Commander in pursuit of his self-serving politics, and engaging in corrupt practices in procuring arms for the forces.

With such traitorous-antics, I am sorry I have no tears for the Retired Army Commander Sarath Fonseka. During the proceedings of the Military Court on the above charges, may the chips fall as they may.

It is good to remind the immense suffering we the Hela (Sinhela)Nation and not the inhabitants of the Island of Hela, Heladiva have endured against land robbers and terrorists – and we still continue to suffer from the oldest enemy of Dravida Tamilians, who already have their land of Tamil Nadu, shamelessly ploying a Tamilian claim to a part of Heladiva. The anonymous writer’s complaint on disunity of the Helas (Sinhelas) needs scrutiny in order to discover causes for a remedy without eternal blame-game. Quite correct, it is “self before country” is the malaise of the Hela people and another fallout of this condition is servility.
Our nation and country’s suffering in the past and present from intruders and murdurers who massacred thousands of our patriots and warriors, bound to inflict immense psychological trauma. In 1948 the sovereign Hela Island was handed over to a coterie of pseudo national caretakers by the then British land robbers and terrorists; who systematically committed the crime of de-nationalization of Helas, resulting in addiction to extreme egotism. So the syndrome of “self before country” is an understandable psychological condition. What we need now are solutions to get over this disease. Another imapct, we as a nation suffered due to endless land robbers on our Island is excessive intermixing with aliens resulting in hybrids who feel neither here nor there. The absence of authentic National Leadership in Heladiva also contributed to racial attitudes over-riding national mindset. Today this condition is highly apparent that we are the only nation in the world brainwashed to behave in mixing up race with nation. If we can muster to pick up the pieces and learn from the past and present to uphold our Inviolable National Sovereignty against foreign elements in and out and stand firm – we are bound to be reckoned with. Stand in self-dom we fall, stand together we can face any eventuality!

Interesting article. This is not the right place for your comments/articles. I wish you all could start your own dedicated web space. We are working on holding a Convention on Sinhala Civilisation in Sinhale’ and are ready with a lot of information to share to explain what happens around us, to fill the gaps in your article, and to correct some serious errors. Unfortunately I do not want to waste my time making comments here. SF phenomenon is the latest to be reckoned in your dealings. Never mind, the Sinhala people, that I know, have what it takes to do the right thing in the best possible way. The best part is their ability to turn other SFs to go shopping for them, without knowing that it is more like making someone to laugh from the hind side.
