The Presidential Elections held in Sri Lanka was the first ever free and fair Elections since the Independence! Secretary General of UN Ban Ki Moon and all Leaders of the West, EU and even Australia articulated this loud and clear!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In third World developing countries it has become a common feature to witness election related disturbances pre & post event. It is the degree of the seriousness of these disturbances with respect to previous elections and with comparison to other countries on similar occasions that one could be satisfied to declare the elections have been free and fair.

The popular accusation that the ballot boxes have been ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-AbductedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-KidnappedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ (though ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-inanimateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚) or ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Switched in TransitƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ did not happen! So one has to give credit to the Election Commissioner and the government.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Caritas who believes that, they can do more to combat Poverty and injustice by combining their resources has in fact been unjust to propagate that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Catholic and Anglican bishops in Sri Lanka have criticized recent presidential elections as beyond the boundaries of democratic rule and failing to address the concerns of the Tamil minorityƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. This statement is strong enough for the Vatican to be alarmed!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The God has enough to keep himself busy rather than to divert his attention to this overated utterances from lesser level go betweens and the Vatican! Pope now has to burn his midnight oil formulating how bestƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to deliver a earful to Poor President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

It is not surprising on their attitude, because the West is hell bent of painting that Sri Lanka is anti Catholic, Christian etc.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This Island being a Buddhist country tolerance is the key factor for them to live in harmony with ethnics of different faiths. This is a gross distortion of facts, a blatant lie, not in accordance with ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Ten CommandmentsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Did somebody say, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Thou shall not LIEƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, but allowed to distort facts?

The God fearing Tamils must be grateful to President Mr.Mahinda Rajapaksa for creating a safe ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-EnvironmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ for them to live without being terrorized!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  When they were herded by their satanic leader and dragged them as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Human shieldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ for his survival, it is the President who sent his defense forces in disguise as the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-GODƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to save them. Yet they chose to support the challenger to him merely because he (Retarded General Fonseka) kept the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Hope aliveƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Gods promised land Eelam stateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ by signing to the demands of the TNA, the twin brother of LTTE! That is Democracy!

These Gods messengers instead of being grateful to the President for second time in sparing the lives of the Tamils from next wave of a killing field are accusing the election was not free and fair and the people was denied of voting. If it did happen these ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-bishopsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ must blame those pro LTTE TNA mob that bombed near the booths to discourage the innocent masses to cast their vote and those expatriates who canvassed to refrain from voting. They were again deprived after 33years to use the Universal franchise!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Further these ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-BishopsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ say, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-since the elections Fonseka has been arrested, parliament dissolved and parliamentary elections called for April, riots have occurred in the capital, and a journalist has disappeared.

If the Government has enough evidence that a coup d’ƒÆ’†’ƒ”š‚©tat is in brewing, no matter who the leader is, arrest is inevitable.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ItƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s nothing new; any other World leader would do the same under the circumstances. ThatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s what the West call ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Actions first, Questions laterƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ if you donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t do it in time, you may be gone forever!
