Anti Government Pundits Over The Gen. Fonseka Arrest Should Back Off Or Face The Consequences!

LankaWeb Midweek Editorial. Feb.16th 2010

Despite the facts which keep staring them in the eyes , inalienable facts that Fmr. Army Commander, Gen. Sarath Fonseka now in custody for treason despite certain media hoopla and hype that he was legit ~it seems exaggerated beyond the norm as his transparencies are spilling all over the floor and becoming more evident that he was not.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Ranil Wickremasinghe led coalition continues to push for his release and continues to act as though the high handed intimidation of a duly elected President comes with impunity where sooner or later they too could face the consequences as they are being tolerated far too long for their boorish cacophony of meaningless repertoire but dangerous to the well being and tranquility of the Nation. They need to objectively back off!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The facts uncovered by Government intelligence seem pellucidly clear according to very reliable sources that the General was indeed planning a diabolic attempt to intimidate the Rajapaksha administration in the event that he, Fonseka was succesful in the presidential polls and that he was consorting with foreign powers towards this attempt and the inalienable evidence of collected deserters surrounding him, arms, ammunition and vast economic reserves stashed away and much more! towards the skulduggery he planned with his UNF coalition buddies is now becoming more and more apparent which nullifies all the calls for his release and seems to be paving the way for a more widespread investigation towards the involvement of many other individuals and the role they may have played towards anarchy in Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ No one should be exempt from this investigation whether it be family and friends of the General or the main leaders of the opposition coalition now agitating for civil unrest within the country, some who have tainted pasts towards this as well as others who have had their hands soaked in the blood of innocents slaughtered during one of their campaigns in the not too distant past. They need to be effectively warned!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It seems totally aggravating that these anti Government fronts and individuals are permitted to operate in the name of freedom and democracy against a legitimately elected Administration and as a result continues to draw unwanted as well as unwarranted attention from a world audience some of whom beleive their high faluting innuendo, lies, and sob stories particulartly when they come from women who should know better than to shed crocodile tears when they probably know that their spouses have every reason to be incarcerated for their crimes not only of passion but against a sovereign nation where subordinates whose spouses weep in reverse for what their own husbands have suffered at the hand of Fonseka( a single example probably of many who have a true story to tell!!) unless the former category have been totally unaware of the liabilities which of course is a matter for conjecture as the propensity of their rhetoric towards this contradicts it!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Here we have a world opinion divided about the goings on in Sri Lanka today embroiled in an apathetic tussle to release a corrupt General whose ambition for power was obviously linked to the greedy opposition which backed him up albeit in failure, whose capacity to pull the wool over undiscerning eyes seems amazing as various religious sects within the land too are getting involved in the fray and listening to the fairy tales of ludicrous proportion who need to be asked to tend to their flocks as it were rather than dabble in politics.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ There is no call for the Rajapaksha Administration to bow down to the obstreperous calls of the opposition nor dance to their tunes in order to appease world opinion as it has done right in apprehending Gen. Fonseka who openly taunted the Sri Lankan Government as though he was some super power within the Nation which he was not and has to answer for his excessive behaviour.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The President in all magnamity has assured all concerned that Gen.Fonseka was not arrested without reason and that after the investigations he will be dealt with accordingly or released. It seems a fair prerogative for a leader as charismatic and just as Pres. Rajapaksha who has taken far too much unnecessay flack from tainted sources and is truly a compassionate human being and a patriotic Sinhalese! one of the finest the Nation has ever seen.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ While there is neither any call for self opinionated pro opposition legal teams, some of them from elevations as high as the bench to throw in what appears to be very myopic and lopsided reasoning despite their learned states of mind that the Government is wrong in apprehending the General as they like all the other unwelcome sources are interfering into the course of justice related to the Fonseka arrest and should resign themselves toward letting justice within the statutes of the land take its due course.

Excellent! Please add removal of Mrs B’s Civic Rights due to JRJ’s fear of contesting her after passing retroactive legislation against Human Rights, Kobbekaduwa’s vote-who cast it? Ranil’s Thug Friend Gonawala Sunil getting a pardon from JRJ, The resignation letters of party MPs taken from Ranil and others by JRJ, Stoning Supreme Court JJ’s Houses, Then Forthright CJ NDM Samarakoon reluctantly giving the Pres. Oath to JRJ because of latter’s disrespect for the law , JRJ GOVT paying the fine of police officer Udugampola when Gampaha Magistrate fined the latter for assaulting a Buddhist priest…so on to ad infinitum.
To the international community I say, What about the invasion of Iraq and Afganistan and Vietnam? Who is responsible for the hundreds of thousands of deaths of innocent people there? What about war crime charges for them? Physician heal thyself first.

    Dear Editor
What you say is exactly correct. In Sri Lanka and other countries when ever progressive anti western party come to power reactionary opposition parties as a fashion come to street and protest against the true peoples mandate. Capitalists so called western medias are backing and encourage these protesters. This is none new to world. It happened in Iran, Palestine Gaza area, Zimbabwe, Venezuela etc.
Hon. President Mahinda Rajapakse won this election with the peoples of Sri Lanka’s mandate. His election victory is nearly 60% of majority. Election commissioner declares this victory and if any one is not happy he or she can file a case in Supreme courts. It is acceptable democracy. In 1988 opposition candidate Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike’s SLFP never encouraged anti democratic acts but challenged in supreme courts. This is a very basic and simple and no one has a right to street fights on this issue. That it self anti democratic acts and it is high time government has to take action on emergency law. If not at the end of the day reactionary western backed forces, LTTE’s tamil terrorist sympathizers, NGO’s, Western media mafia, Western embassy mafia, SMS maniacs and Colombons Hikka’s will get the upper hand. Lap dog of these reactionary forces already defeated by patriotic Sri Lankans in 26th January 2010 for the first innings and the second innings will be 2/3 majority in parliament election in April 2010.
This is not only first incident in Sri Lanka when ever progressive party came to power some how various anti democratic acts organized by opposition. In 1956 progressive (MEP) front came to power they tried to assassinate the Hon. Prime minister with poison. Second attempt they assassinated him in 1959. In 1962 Military coup d’etat organized by UNP’s (Ranil’s Uncle) J.R Jayewardene. In 1964 they bribed 14 SLFP members (C.P de Silva, Mahanama Samaraweera (Mangala’s dad) and toppled the government. In 1970 most progressive government came to power in Sri Lanka but not even a year 1971 CIA’s cats paw JVP’s insurgency destabilized the democracy in Sri Lanka with the so-called youth uprising. Ravi Jayawardena, C.P.J Seneviratene, Jinadasa Niyathapala and most of the UNP youth who disappointed after 1970 parliamentary defeat very well backed 1971 insurgency.
This is nothing new and only to Sri Lanka. Cuba, Palestine’s Gaza, Venezuela, Iran, China, Nicaragua, Granada, Indonesia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Honduras, Ghana and Myanmar are few examples and when ever anti western leader who came to power foreign spies and their henchmen start to topple the progressive patriotic leaders without any mercy.
If opposition continues anti government protests then the UPFA members and supporters equally have a right to come to protect their mandate so it’s high time to organized pro UPFA victory rallies and street marches to show that people are with the government. This is how republic of Iran exercised. Don’t allow Somawansa and his monkey clique to destabilize Sri Lanka and allow Yankee CIA, U.K Pommies and Tamil Racist Expansionism to reestablish in our motherland.
