Ultimate peace and prosperity for Sri Lanka – My appeal to SF and MR

Since February 2008 I gave my whole hearted support to the war under the leadership of Hon. President Mahinda Rajapakse. My admiration was for the PresidentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ability to rally the masses around him to fight LTTE and the way how he handled the international community.

My heart was also with the armed forces, the soldiers who sacrifice their lives and those who lost their limbs. I still contribute to the Ranaviru fund. I admired Genaral Sarath Fonseka who led the Army.

I was not a poet, but I became one to support our soldiers specially the army led by General Sarath Fonseka.

SF sudden decision to contest against MR surrounded by UNP and JVP is incomprehensible. Current situation is something for the LTTE separatist to celebrate.

When you think about it now, how did out charismatic and intelligent president let General Fonseka go against him and join those who did not like to see the end of LTTE and even condemned SF while all patriotic people supported him?

This is quite interesting with reference to the article The Fonseka affair: A perfect blunder?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The worry is the second related link. Now it is going to be a big confusion like “Gedara giyoth ambuwa nasee, Maga siti-oth thova nasee”.

UN is waiting to get the Sri Lankan war criminals(our war heroes), be it Gotabaya, Mahinda, Sarath Fonseka or an unknown soldier, it is now bad news for Sri Lanka. We donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t want to see any of the Sri Lankans been tried at the international courts for war crimes.

As a supporter of the war against LTTE menace, I wouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t care less about any war crimes. It was a well known fact that LTTE terrorist never surrender. Even the child soldiers were supposed to swallow the cyanide capsule and die if they were to be captured by the force. Also Robert Blake insisted that the army cannot capture Prabakaran(TV interview held in Colombo in February 2008).

Is there any prospect that Hon. President meet Sarath Fonseka and come to an agreement to give clemency to him for the service he has rendered as the general during the war(we would not care less for his private life and his son-in-laws arm deals)?
