JVP’s Survival Stunt is Fonseka’s Demise

Strategist

Mahinda Rajapakse has indeed rescued us from a potential disaster. The so-called grand coalition is already crumbling. Ranil wants the Elephant and the others appear to want the Swan as their symbol. How uncommon are these fighters of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-common frontƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚? What are the chances of such a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-common frontƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ developing a cohesive strategy for the development of Sri Lanka? If this coalition is unable to even fight the general election on a common platform how on earth can we entrust these ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-power at any costƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ politicians to represent us as a common force? Is the common opposition just a JVP stunt?

No matter what the critics say about MR and his team the comforting reality is:

#ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The war against LTTE was won and the country was united.

#ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Locals and tourists can move around the country including the North and the East. Hotel occupancy is at all time high.

#ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  More roads, bridges and power plants have been built under this regime than any other.

#ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Foreign Direct Investments (FDI’s) are flowing in nicely.

#ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Fisher folk in theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ North and theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ East are doing fine.

#ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Farmers have already started feeding the South and will soon participate in lucrative export markets.

#ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Global banking giant HSBC has opened a branch in Jaffna. Now our brethren in Jaffna can also have “access to the world”. Let us not forget that not long ago it was almost impossible for family members abroad to send money to their loved ones in the North and the East.

#ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Our problem is that we are quick to forget what we have achieved. We have forgotten the war and the rest that came with it. Do we need a common enemy like Prabhakaran to unite us?

The disturbing reality is:

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Fonseka was used as the saviour of JVP.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He is not the Organ Grinder. He is only The Monkey. Already UNP and JVP are fighting over the “common symbol”. SF is no Eisenhower and let us not try to make him one. He was a good soldier. He did his job under strong political leadership of a team. That does not qualify him to become a statesman.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Wake up misguided brothers and sisters! You are protesting against Sri Lanka not against the government. Organ grinders are the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-power at any costƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ losers.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  They do not mind damaging the image of Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Your protests in front of Sri Lankan embassies world over are just protests against Sri Lanka. LetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s protect our brand ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Sri Lanka. LetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s not learn to export our domestic issues. Some foreign forces are waiting to exploit this window of opportunity. Do you want to become a Monkey of power hungry politicians (organ grinders)?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The war was won. Now we have to win peace and unity to build a better future. Do not become monkeys for JVPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s survival stunts.

JVP is a political parasite and not interested in the problem solving ethics but it is always a problem creating party. Their so called MARXISM lead them to hang on with UNP. What a bunch of opportunist morons!

Who will vote for JVP responsible for thousands and thousands of Sinhala youth deaths in 1971? What democracy they are talking about now after attempting to capture power in a insurrection in 1971?
The western media and some western governments relentessly pursue an anti Rajapakse line because he had the courage to withstand the pressure brought upon him to save the terrorists. The damage their governments have done to countries like Iraq, Afganistan and Vietnam where thousands of civilians lost their lives are ignored. Following is a quote fromGM a most revered writer in SriLanka. ““This conspiracy has been there since the day the ethnic conflict started and the conspirators have always looked for an agent to introduce their propaganda to the public. They tried many foreign and local envoys but none of them worked. The LTTE was once a part of their plan but even they were defeated, so they were able to find the next best thing, the person who played a significant role in defeating the LTTE. They were able to recruit Fonseka through a web of lies and deception. The two opposition parties are clearly responsible for this. Now look at what has happened,” said Amarasekera.
Amarasekera further stated that these misconceptions have even affected the Bikkhu community.
“The Maha Nayake Theras have already become involved in this, but I do believe that they will come to realise the true situation and not the falsified statements that have been put before them,” he added.
Also addressing the media another member of the organisation Dimuth Gunawardena presented an alleged document which he claimed was a report by the United States State Department. The report claimed that there have been war crimes in Sri Lanka. The report quotes unofficial sources and says that the LTTE leaders were shot after surrendering. Gunawardena further noted that the report at one point quotes a speech made by retired General Fonseka, at Ambalangoda, as a source.
He said that he believed that this was proof that Fonseka was been used as a pawn by the international community”

Let there be an investigation into the war crimes commited in Iraq, Afganistan and Vietnam begin first.

As the old saying goes “you can’t fool all the people all the time”. But, suffice to say that a lot of people fell into this “common opposition”. They did not see through the dangerous “unity” of the UNP and JVP. Let’s hope that these people will realise that SF is now backed by JVP and some parties overseas.

Unfortunately, our people seem to have short memories.
