Presidential election results of 2010 is what really expected by majority of Sri Lankans. This was the first Presidential election after defeat the Tamil Terrorist LTTE on 18^th May 2009. Prior to this there were several Provincial council elections held and PresidentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UPFA won most provinces with the majority of 60%-70%. If any one compared the 2010 presidential election results with the 2009 provincial council election results in non-biased criteria will accept it. Time gap between both elections are just a matter of few months. Within such a short time if someone believe to change voters from 70% to 40% he must be a political science wishwakarma. So that if anyone to accept this very simple logic needs not to be a rocket scientist. Even US state department and UNO secretary general and opposition leader of parliament UNP leader Mr. Ranil Wicremasinghe stated that the election is free and fair.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If we compare 2009 Provincial council election most districts won by UPFA with higher majority than the Presidential Election in 2010. It was just few months ago UPFA won these districts landslide. So as usually Hon President won following districts by 60% majority. Gampaha 61.6%, Kalutara 63.05% Kurunegala 63.08%, Galle 61.66%, Matara 65.5%, Hambantota 67.21%

Monaragala 69.01%, Ratnapura 63.7%, Kegalle 61.8% Anuradhapura 66.32%, Pollonnaruwa 64.9% and Matale 59%. So 50% of the highest populated districts are won with more than 60% majority.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But Sarath FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s won mostly TNA influential less populated districts such as Jaffna, Vanni, Batticoloa, Trincomalee, Digamadulla and Nuwara Eliya. Since 1956 these areas were dominated by racist tamil tribal expansionist Malaysian Tamil, Velupillai ChelvanayakamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ITA (Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi) In mid 1980ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s son of a Tamil CountryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s (tamil nadu) migrant Velupillai PrabakaranƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s terrorist organization dominated in these districts till Hon President Mahinda defeated them in 2009 May 18^th. But in this election most tamil voters were influenced by ITAƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Sampanthan and Ranil/Sarath secret pact, which was attested by two foreign ambassadors (Norway/US). This secret pact was gave high hopes to so-called tamil bogus refugee terrorist supporters (diasporas) in western countries. They planned to make this pact as a stepping-stone to Eelam ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-first a federal then the Eelam theoryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Before the election ITA had a party convention and passed a resolution at Manipay a carbon copy to Velupillai ChelvanayakamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Vadukkodai resoulution. In additionally tamil bogus refugee terrorists (diasporas) also had several referendums in most European countries.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ SFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s DNF have won all the electoral seats in Colombo city such as Colombo Central, Colombo West, Colombo North, and Colombo East. Even in 2009 Provincial council election the results were same for these electoral. It is obvious that the 2009 provincial council election results and the 2010 Presidential Election had very similar outcome except in Eastern province. 2009 UPFA won the Eastern Province but this time they lost to DNF.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  If government wanted any rigging they would have easily done in northern districts such as Vanni, Mannar, Jaffna and eastern province where more government officials stationed. Government allowed people to cast their vote as they like. So they voted to TNAƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s supporter Sarath Fonseka. This is a typical example that the election was free and fair.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Post election scenario shows how silly our oppositionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s behavior. Independent monitors said this is fair and free election. We have to accept the fact that there werenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t any major incident in anywhere. We can well remember election riggings in RanilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Uncle JRJƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s 1978-1988 era Mahara, Mulkirigala, Kalawana and Kiriella by- elections? In Kalawana by-election UNP appointed defeated candidate to Parliament? Victorious candidate Hon Sarath Muttuwegama and UNPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s defeated candidate Abeyaratne Pilapitiya both sat in the parliament. This was a black dot in world parliamentary history. What a democracy RanilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UNP talking of? Mulkirigala by-election Ranil came with his IRC, rapist criminal Gonawila Sunil and gangsters. UNP remanded Hon. Mahinda Rajapakse the main organizer to SLFP campaign during Mulkirigala by-election. DonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t they remember 1981 so called referendum? CanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t Ranil (Minister of Education then) remember him, Gonawila Sunil & gangsterƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s behavior at Biyagama Junction? We still remember how they acted in Jaffna District Development council election in 1981. UNPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s state terrorism started after Jaffna public library torched. This is still a symbol of discrimination to tamil brothers and sisters of Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I need not to tell about RanilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s uncle JRJƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s 1982 election without most popular opposition candidate Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike. Even though JRJ managed only 52.5% of votes. In 1982 Presidential election UNP has rigged SLFP candidate Mr. Hector KobbekaduwaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s vote even? This is RanilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s five-star democracy?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In 1988 President R.Premadasa elected by 50.4% majority. The state terrorism was high and ballot boxes filled openly by army and police staff in most areas. JVP planed an election boycott to help UNP candidate. JVP threatened to voters and they killed several civilians, election department officials and some political party members. They killed Deva Bandara Senaratene while addressing a meeting. JVP looted poling cards in most SLFP supported areas in Galle, Matara, Hambantota, Anuradahapura, Pollonnaruwa, Monaragalla and Kurunegala districts and helped UNPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s R. Premadasa to come to power on their mutual understanding.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Opposition common candidates claim of election with utter childish arguments. Mr. Sarath Fonseka assesses his election victory on media photographs. That itself shows his inexperience in politics. We have to forgive him cause he must be suffering from Post Combat Depression (PCD). In 1982 presidential elections JVP candidate Don Nandasiri Wijeweera alias Rohana WijeweeraƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s election meetings were always full with supporters but at the end he lost his deposit even.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ JVPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Somawansa says sophisticated computer rigging methods were used to influence the final result. It is better to check how is JVPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s vote bank. In 2009 Provincial council election in 15 out of 20 districts JVPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s votes are less than 3%. Even in 1982 election JVPƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s top leader Don Nandasiri Wijeweera (Rohana) lost his deposit. DonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t know Somawansa Amarasinghe remember the 1982 peoples verdict on JVP unless otherwise he is suffering from Alzheimer disease. Those who couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t get at least 5% votes in 2009 Provincial council election try to challenge majorityƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s mandate of 57.8%. Those jokers had not courage to contest the election under their party symbols means they accepted the defeat before the election.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Wicramabahu Karunaratene who got only 7000 votes from all over the Sri Lanka also joins this reactionary propaganda. His claim is he should be third place. But he should be very much grateful to 7000 voters who voted him. Once his comrade partyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s most popular leader Vasudewa Nanayakkara got only 15,000 votes from all over the Sri Lanka in 1982 Presidential election. So this unpopular politician who ran his election campaign from a gift of 1.5 million rupees from LTTE supporter Sivajilingam no surprise to got 7000 votes. He became James Bond of Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s 2010 Presidential Election after got only 0.07% (007) votes. This manƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s 40 years political carrier he managed to sit in Colombo Municipal council for 2 years also forced an innocent Tamil party member to resign and vacate the seat to him. In last Colombo municipal council election he was kicked by his favorite tamil voters. A person who rejected from a municipal council thinks he is capable of become a President of Sri Lanka. What a political joker.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now it is better to glance at Presidential elections of Ranil, Mangala, Hakim, Ganeshan, Sampanthan and SomawansaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s exemplary democratic state as well as Sarath Fonseka country the USA.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In USA 2008 Obama came to power with 52.9% majority. In 2004 George W Bush won the election with the majority of 50.7%. In 2000 Presidential election George W Bush came to power with 47.9% and Al Gore with 48.4% votes. The winning candidate received fewer popular votes than the runners-up.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  At last courts gave a rule that George W Bush the President though fewer votes. So have their opposition send petitions to UNO or to European Council to stop trade facilities to USA. If not complain to human right commission or to amnesty international. Has US Bishops council made any statements against George BushƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s appointment? Has US opposition demonstrate in street to cover their defeat? Had NorwayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s foreign minister issued any statement against Bush? Has US opposition asked foreigners to interfere the matter? Had they washed their dirty cloths in front of so called spy agents (ambassadors)

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But unfortunately our opposition is ready to wash their dirty clothes in front of ambassadors or any white imperialist masters. They donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t have an atom of shame to go to these foreigners and gossip against their own country. The opposition party leaders donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t let down your motherland for your personal agendas. We cannot tolerate any more their interventions. European spies are no more our masters. More you guys accommodate them more they take advantage on us.
