Reading Aloy Perera’s Diatribe – Admittedly Better than a Root-Canal!

I must confess reading through the anti-Mahinda Rajapakse GOSL diatribe of Aloy Perera was actually a tad more comforting than the root-canal I had to endure recently when my dentist strapped me to a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-white chair.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ I am no nifty scribe and definitely am no scribe who enjoys taking a fellow mortalƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s time to read 100,000 words when I can say what needs to be said in a few hundreds of words. So, let me cut to the chase by saying that Aloy PereraƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s diatribe is not dissimilar to that of what we, the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-pseudo patriots,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ have see from the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-thamileelamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ separatists or their sympathizer thereof (i.e. such as our myopic current opposition in Sri Lanka, that now lamentably includes AloyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-white knight on white horse,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ candidate Fonseka!).
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Truly, if we, the so called pseudo patriots, were to cut to the chase, what is quite plainly evident to us in AloyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s extraordinary harangue is that he has completely disregarded not only the moral righteousness, but the sheer obligation to apply the law of the land to charge and prosecute errant parties, especially parties who are suspected of plotting a military-coup to usurp Democracy.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Additionally, it is truly pathetic see that AloyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s harangue completely disregarding the need for differentiation, the differentiation that needs to be applied mandatorily as it is no secret that candidate Fonseka cozied up to the Tamil separatists and entered into an agreement with the Tamil National Alliance (an avowed, hardcore LTTE proxy party) and publicly stated that it is time to give into Tamil separatistsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-thamileelamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ cry, the cry the violent racist-separatist-terrorists had followed up with unbridled terrorism for over 30 years, but failed to achieve due to the life and limb our bravehearts sacrificed in the battlefield.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Yes Aloy, we may be ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-pseudo patriotsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ but we do not require knowledge of thermo- nueclear science to realize that the pin-ball dropped with a loud Ding when your candidate Fonseka said, callously at that, that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-it is time now to go beyond the 13th Amendment (to the Constitution)!ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I guess this was when many of us ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-pseudo patriotsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ came of age, attained manhood/womanhood and decided that candidate Fonseka should be the President of Sri Lank in the year 3000 or a little later preferably. We ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-pseudo patriotsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ are today men/women of few words and do go by indisputable facts and not irrationality emanating from traditional biases, special interests, the kind that would (divinity forbid!) make us go into a 100,000 word harangue to feebly camouflage our true intentions!

I agree with Pretty Kfir. Aloy Perera’s Diatribe was a wasted effort. It was too long and I bet nobody really read it all the way to the end. I started to read it and gave up halfway as I realized it was load of BS and should be designated to the waste basket. If he wants to have a dialouge he must remember to stick to proven facts and be brief. He does not have the capacity to get his point of view across. I guess he used a lot of words as he had no substance. This seems to be the problem with all these writers who like to critisize the GOSL. Anybody who goes around Sri Lanka can see all the development work going on there. It is everywhere and the people cannot be fooled by the UNP anymore. During the UNP there was no development, they sold State assets to their friends cheap, borrowed money for consumption and destroyed the country. However the rich people in Colombo were kept happy with all the Luxury goods from the west being available for their consumption. This is why they love Ranil. The real Sri Lankan Patriotic people who love their motherland saw through this and were smart enough to vote for MR.
