Challenge for Sarath & Sarath et al – Time for all Patriots to wake up

Time for all patriots to wake up and unite setting aside differences has come.

These are the times bipartisan agreement is easily reached in Australia, Britain and other western democracies. Are we second to any of these countries? At the times of great concern over national sovereignty, politicians of even these countries get together as one.

This is not about fighting for protection of Rajapakse Brothers who, together with soldiers form poorest villages restored national pride of all Sri Lankans. It is about respecting the great sacrifices those innocent poor mothers and fathers did. It is about protecting the very sovereignty those young men and women fought for.

Everyone must wake up and protest the action of UN chief ( or ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-thief ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-one may opt to call , which is justifiable because these people are doing nothing but wasting tax payers money of the respective countries paying their salaries).

Fonseka knows that he is alive because there was a brave soldier who kicked the pregnant woman, not because of his own bravery. That man died defending sovereignty of his country giving opportunity for Fonseka to travel in a Mercedes and allowing Gota to wear a tie. Does Fonseka approve UN chiefƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s call to investigate the pregnant womanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s death for war crimes?

Silva is not the chief justice now. So, what should he be doing as a patriot? Finding reasons to allow UN to investigate according to lwar crime legislations or exploring avenues under international law to sue UN chief ?

Is there any patriot in Sri Lanka who cares about terrorist families, whether died holding a white flag or died wearing cyanide capsules ?

Even Mr. Wickremasinghe, should forget about past (for the meaning of your very surnameƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s sake) and wake up and send a message of protest- at least that will earn him some respect and may be some votes.

Sarath & Sarath who are waiting with great aversion in hearts to take revenge should show that they are fighting for Sri Lanka- not for their own well benifit. It is times like this that you can show the world how brave you are.

Respect the very democracy, freedom (you are saying) you are dying for! Freedom of your country, not the freedom to pocket public money and buy luxury cars!

Respect the truth you utter not the attire you wear or the tie knot!

People of Sri Lanka will have something to consider at polls if you do so.

  1. Siri Says:

The UNP was a great Party and was respected by all at one time in History. The Jayawardena’s and Wickremasinghe’s (Uncle and Nephew) have brought shame to the party and brought it to such a low level that all their stalwarts have left and joined Mr Rajapaksa to save the Nation. Only the dregs remain in the barrel now and with this group Ranil is trying to win an election. He knows that the only chance he has is to sell the country to the Western Powers and to the LTTE diaspora abroad. No Patriotic Sri Lankan will vote for him and his party. The loyal supporters of the UNP should open their eyes and look around. Where are the real UNPer’s. Thank God they are still in the country with our heroic President helping him to save the country. All is not lost. We still have the UNP, although with a different name and not under the green elephant. Does the color matter anymore? Ranil switched the Elephant for a Swan. He even changed colors like a Chameleon to hide his shame. It is time for all Patriotic Sri Lankans to join hands and get together in a common cause to defend the motherland against a common enemy — “THE UN SEC. GEN” controlled by the Western Powers.
