TNA MANIFESTO IS A CRY FOR EELAM AGAIN.

Tamil National Alliance- (TNA) LTTE proxy is back with their old tricks. In its latest election manifesto, they demandƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Federal structure, Self Governing authority in the North and East, Remerge of North & East, all Foreign aids to come to them direct, sole authority on land matters, police and fiscal matters. This is simply asking ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for a separate State.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  They are coming back to the infamous ISGA (Interim Self Governing Authority) and P-TOMS (Post Tsunami Operational Management Structure) which they were trying to gain control over the Tsunami funds to legitimize Eelam.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

Both these proposals were rejected thanks for the agitations and legal process sought by JVP (albeit JVP now talks differently). Had both ISGA and P-TOMS were accepted that could have been a stepping stone to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-EelamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. TNAƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s election manifesto placed before the Tamils for the General Election 2010 is obviously asking the same Eelam in a different tone. TNA is dragging the ordinary Tamils back to another conflict situation . Tamils have had enough misery for three decades under the brutal rule of LTTE ably supported by LTTE proxy TNA for almost a decade and I am sure the ordinary Tamils do not want to experience that misery again . TNA will not be able to hoodwink the ordinary Tamils in the North and East anymore.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The moderate Tamil people should realize that the President Rajapaksa had categorically mentioned that he will find a reasonable solution to the conflict under a unitary system and definitely not under a federal structure.

TNA trumpeting demands of a federal structure can never be realized ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and are placing the Tamils in a quandary. Instead, the TNA and its allied parties should attempt for a ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ peaceful reconciliation with the Government with give ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and take policy. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But the Tamils cannot expect that from TNA. Unfortunately, TNA is hooked with the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil Diaspora for moral and financial support for a Separate State for Tamils and probably thinking that TNA can achieve that thro the latest ventureƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  launched by the Tamil Diaspora of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Trans national provisional Government for Tamils.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If the Tamil politicians get bogged in this Trans-national stuff like TNA, the ultimate losers will be the ordinary Tamils living in the North and East ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and not the Tamil Diaspora living in affluent countries or the TNA MPs who most of the time operates from Colombo with their foothold in Colombo. It is crystal clear that the TNA manifesto demands a separate autonomy for Tamils instead of any reconciliation with the majority and ultimate losers will be the ordinary Tamils living in the North and East. Hence, they should totally reject the TNA separatist manifesto at the forthcoming General Elections.

Malin, a tiger will not change its spots neither will the TNA who are nothing but LTTE terrorist leftovers. As President MR said there are no minorities in Sri lanka. To achieve this he has to abolish ethnic and religious political parties. The words “tamil”, “Eelam”, “Muslim” “Sinhala” etc. should be banned for political parties and other social and welfare organisations. All such organisations must be open to any Sri lankan and to form any organisation in Sri lanka it must have a quorum from all societies enacted by legislation. If the SLFP, UNP and even JVP can have members from all communities, why not the others!

Tamils are the hardcore racists in Sri Lanka and they say they have been discriminated by Sinhalese. This is similar to homosexuals saying they have no rights that others enjoy…..I do not think we have a solution that Tamils will be satisfied with, for this issue. MR has to take a very hard stance and abolish all racist nationalist parties and parties with names that sound racist and mono-ethnic. That is why we need to give him the 2/3rds majority.

Malin Abeytunge has again proven that he’s got a very sharp mind to see through issues that many in the contemporary society aren’t able to.
