WAR HAS BEEN WON, BUT NOT PEACE, SAYS CBK (June 03, 2010)

Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga still wants to grab credit without just fading away. 10 years in the lifespan of a country is a long time. You had all the Presidential powers that President Rajapakse has.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  What did you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Basically bugger all.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Professionals of a country are employed to do the development projects and work, but as the chief executive the President of Sri Lanka signs all such documents. At the time you sat on the documents and did not execute anything except blabbering. Now someone is taking action implementing the projects, credit should be given where it is due in this instance the present administration.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ War ravaged Sri Lanka for 20/30 years and you were the President during 10 of these years! You wanted to hold onto power for some more time but the people got rid of you. Yes, the war has been won, but peace cannot be achieved overnight.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-We need to think about this. To do this we need to think about giving out certain things in our possession to others as wellƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Chandrika, you are the same person who was prepared to negotiate with LTTE terrorists. You were prepared to accept division of the country as long as you could hold onto power. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga how many things in your possession like your accumulated wealth in Sri lanka and abroad are you prepared to share with others. Did the Sri lankan people who shed their blood and tears and underwent years of suffering during 10 years of your governance surviving ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ on a day to day basis without getting killed rewarded with a minute part of the massive commissions extracted by you. The poor people of Sri Lanka also had a right to this cake, but you swallowed it alone!!!!! ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Chandrika should stop pontificating and live her sunset years in repentance for all her misdeeds. Your epitaph should read, the President who played the fiddle while Sri Lanka burned.

The worse “leader” Sri Lanka ever had in the history has opened her mouth again. The damage this woman has done to the country is unimaginable. One good example is AirLanka and even today they are suffering. If all the evidence and the rumours are true, this woman has taken most of the wealth belong to the poor in Sri Lanka second only to the British. One day she will suffer and I hope it will be in front of the whole world for all to see. I believe it is not worth even to spend a minute on this woman who was dubbed as the re-born Kuweni od Sri Lanka. Rohana Arambewala

As Mr Asoka Weerasinghe in one his articles wrote to this woman or somebody else that she could not be insulted by calling her madam as the female brothel keeper was also called madam. So, I will also follow suit. She was called the bandit queen who wanted to offer VP to rule north and east for ten years. She was born to give almost everything belonged to Sri Lanka to retain in power and offer whatever she could to fulfil her vindictive lust. Now, it is time she kept her mouth shut without making further harm to Sri Lanka. Her flag is tattered and torn. This woman is being detested by many of Sri Lankans. There is no U-turn for CBK any more in the field of politics.

Interesting article and comments. My memory went back to the time she came to power (1994 onward). I am curious to know whether any of you held the same opinion when she was in power. When she came to power in 1994, I went back to serve my motherland, in response to my office mates who threw insults at me for leaving the country. I wanted to build indigenous capacity to explore oil, both onshore and offshore, absolutely free of any charges. I got a job, but not the opportunity because none was keen to do anything at that time. I made my contributions to the best of my ability within their confines that runs to a few life times worth of earnings in any kind of money. Then I got my facts right and left the country after giving my letter of resignation. I came to understand later that my employment was terminated as “vacated post without notice”. Good for them. Imagine if I had the luck to do what I intended. Nobody could have auctioned the land to foreigners who came to power on the back of the Chaura queen. Facts are facts, right. Thank you all for refreshing my mind.

    Madam Mrs. Kumarantunge

Please do not insult the great man with a good heart Mr. Vijaya Kumaratunge by opening your foul mouth. Could I remind you that how you tried to acheive everlasting peace by giving the half of our motherland to blood sucking LTTE terrorists during your hopeless administration.

Unlike you, Mr Mihinda Rajapaksa is a true son of mother lanka. Mr. Rajapaksa nad his brothers have demonstrated to the rest of the world how to deal with barbaric terrorists and how could win your so-called unwinnable war. Pepole of Sri Lanaka tossed you out from the SL political arena almost decade ago. Please contiune to enjoy a glass of wishky as you used to do so during your administration rather making useless statements.

Though I have nothing in common with opinions of Victor Ivan, I couldn’t agree with him more when he castigated this woman as a bandit queen. Rajitha S would tell you that she is not just a bandit queen but also a biggest hypocrite one could ever come across. I was going to write about an anecdote that deceased Ossi A told me way back in the mid eighties. May be it’s a waste my time after all. I‘ll just say; she is a disgrace.
