‘Wimal, the biggest con artist of our time’ – Says, Frederica Jansz, Sunday Leader

Frederica Jansz, Editor, Sunday Leader, in a hard-hitting article on 11th July refers to Wimal Weerawansa as , ‘The biggest con artist of our time’. Throwing brick-bats at him she offers bouquets of flowers to the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon for appointing a warƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ crimesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ panel to Sri Lanka.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Frederica says, “…Idiotic and bullheaded to the core – what he(Wimal) failed, very simply to understand is that he is unimportant and inconsequential for the likes of the United Nations and its chief Ban Ki-moon… Moon will not deter from his objective. And that is to go ahead with the panel of experts already appointed to probe charges of possible war crimes committed in Sri Lanka…ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Ban means business…”
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Yes, not only Ban Ki-moon but also Navi Pillai means ‘business’. And that is all these years, fondlyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ supporting the world’s number one terrorist outfit. There was no secret about the UN and its Aid Agencies treating the LTTE as ‘angels’.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The UN Mission in Colombo as wellƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ taking the cue from Ban Ki-moon and Navi Pillai backed the terrorists to the hilt. They did nothing to stop the criminal activities and genocide by the LTTE.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
During the war, to strengthen the LTTE fighting force when some employeesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  of Vanni were abducted and kept for months the UN Mission was quiet until it was exposed by an English Daily.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
There was forcible recruitment of children by the LTTE and the UN Mission turned a blind eye to this as well. The leaders of the ‘Childs Brigade’ who garlanded the child recruits with cyanide capsulesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ have been given asylum by countries supporting the war crimes panel.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
OnceƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ some LTTE leaders stormed the UN office in Kilinochchi, threatened the workers and descecrated the UN flag and there was noƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ complaint of any kindƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ about this. What if Wimal and his ‘mob’ did something similar to theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ UN officeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ during the protest march? Ban Ki-moon would have withdrawn the UN office in Colombo immediately and stopped whatever assistance to the country. But for the LTTEƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ theyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ were free to do whatever they like.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
When the LTTE supporters were protesting in the US during the war, some of them went to the UN Head Quarters while it was in session and turned off the lights. And there was not a hum from Ban Ki-moon. But, by any chance,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ if this was done to the UN Mission in Colombo during the protest march,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the Secretary General would have made a hue and cry.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The role of the UN MissionƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and its Aid Agencies came under greater scrutiny during the war because of their support to the LTTE. Therefore, the question was raised as to how the LTTE possessedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  heavy machinery, massive tractors, equipment, building materials etc., for the construction of earth bunds, bunkers and underground apartments. The credibility of the UN had eroded because of their dual role and treating the LTTE as ‘angels’. And Frederica Jansz is singing hosannas for UN leaders like Ban Ki-moon and Navi PillaiƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ who had supported the terrorists and terror backers all these years.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The UN, because of their support to the LTTE, a section of the International community sympathetic to terror backers and some locals who still think that the ‘western colonialists’ are superior, cannot stomach Sri Lanka’s triumph over the LTTEƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  as they claimed it invincible and is trying to undermine the country through devious means.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

Wimal Weerawansa is a hero and a patriot. Of course, Janz cannot be a patriot.

  2. Nihal Fernando Says:

This woman Frederica Janz thinks Moon is the best son under the sun and she praises him a lot with school girl’s infatuation.
