NDI activities in Sri Lanka need close monitoring

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The statement last week by Ranil Wickremesinghe that the UNP will ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”never support constitutional amendments aimed at the perpetuation of the family ruleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is unremarkable: coming from a man who should know a few things about family rule, such dross is likely to receive the level of derision it deserves from the Sri Lankan people.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ What is of significance, however, is the forum where Ranil made this statement, a meeting organised by the so-called National Democratic Institute (NDI). This is because the NDI is one of many ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”civilian frontsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of the CIA, busily engaged in bringing about undemocratic ousting of many progressive regimes by fomenting riots and coups d’ƒÆ’†’ƒ”š‚©tat.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The well documented role the NDI played in the unlawful ousting of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide of Haiti in 2004 and President Manuel Zelaya of Honduras in June 2009, and its on-going underground activities against the regime of President Hugo Chaves of Venezuela should concern the Sri Lankan government of its foray in to the Sri Lankan scene.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The expansion of NDI activity from its largely Latin American base to south Asia is a significant development indeed, and it is a sign that the defeat of the LTTE is prompting the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”US BlackhandƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ to intensify its affliction on Sri Lanka. It is clear that the NDA has ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”chosenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ President Rajapakse to confer its ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”blessingsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ on! This is not surprising at all because President RajapakseƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s progressive and independent agenda of action for the Sri Lankan people is clearly a concern for them as much as AristideƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s and ZelayaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s did.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The news that the NDI has had its first meeting on the current project in Sri Lanka with the Muslim Congress and concentration of its activities, together with USAID ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”projectƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ activities in the eastern province should raise alarm bells at Gotabhaya RajapakseƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s office. Here are some of the reasons why.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Their analysis of the government defeat of the LTTE, a fact they are unable to accept or live with, leads them to believe that the bifurcation of the front caused by KarunaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s defection was the crucial factor that enabled the army victory. They consider that their failure to see, read or influence the situation marks a chink in the armoury of global control and developing close links with Muslims in the region is a top priority in order to develop future capacity to foment Muslim-Sinhalese ethnic trouble as well as to influence a larger Tamil-Sinhalese upheaval. This is the reason why the CIA fronts USAID and its associated agencies are getting down to the grass roots level in the eastern province as if there is no tomorrow!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Let us look at the apparatus they are deploying: the quickest way to glean about this crew is to look at the people and organisations that finance them for this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”altruisticƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ promotion of democracy on our fair land. They include: the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Development Agency (CIDA), European Union, Government of Norway, World Bank Group, George SorosƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Open Society Institute (OSI), Ford Foundation, Organization of American States (OAS), Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and The Chrysler Foundation.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sounds familiar? This mixture of neocons and neocon controlled organisations needs to pique anyoneƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s curiosity as to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”whatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s in it for them?ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now, the reader needs to be pre-warned that every piece of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”officialƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ publicity material on the NDI will be using the catch-all phrase, the facade they hide behind, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nongovernmental organizationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢; this is par for the course for all CIA fronts.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”realƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ role and functions of the NDI in the surreptitious geopolitical agenda of the neocons (as distinct form US), can only be understood by looking in to the origins and disgraceful past activities of the NDI.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The NDI arose as part of neocon preparations in the 1980s for the dawning of the 21st century, which they arrogantly thought was going to be the beginning of their global empire. The conspiracy began with regime change at home, in the US, by installing either brain-dead, or financially and morally compromised individuals as presidents through the ridiculously corrupt primaries circus: Ronald Regan and George W. Bush belonged to the brain-dead category, and George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton belonged to the financially and morally compromised respectively.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This process was also extended to the colonial outposts of the UK, Australia and New Zealand where Zionist control is well entrenched: Tony Blair and John Howard were the clear examples. Such corrupt puppets were used by the neocon cabal to rubberstamp and implement domestic and foreign policies that were ridiculously against the broader national interests of the countries concerned.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ NDI was established in 1983, during the Regan presidency, as one of four subsidiaries of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a closely associated CIA front, created for the specific task of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”working withƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ political parties and NGOs in target countries, with intense focus on Cuba and Nicaragua at the time.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The delegation of civilian corruption to a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”frontƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ was needed due to the CIA activities of setting up phony ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”civil societyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ groups was being ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”found outƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. The new sinister strategy involved the CIA providing covert support to armed paramilitary rebel groups and death squads and the NED and its constituent fronts such as the NDI to cultivate and finance political parties and NGOs assigned to undermine governments and societies. Allen Weinstein, who was responsible for setting up the NED, told the Washington Post of Sept. 21, 1991, “A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA.”

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The other affiliated institutes of the NED are: International Republican Institute (IRI), Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE); and Solidarity Center.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The NDI and the IRI ensure the participation of the cabal members associated with both political parties. These and a dozen or so other groups, most notably, Transparency International, Asia Foundation and Freedom House were brought under a USAID-funded body named the Consortium for Electoral and Political Processes Strengthening (CEPPS). The NED serves as the umbrella organisation through which all other institutes including an ever- expanding number of NGOs receive funding to undermine ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”non-compliantƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ regimes.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ All the bodies referred to above, collectively and individually, proclaim to be ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”nonprofit, nonpartisan organizationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ committed to advancing freedom and democracy worldwide by developing political parties, civic institutions, open elections, good governance and the rule of law!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This lie is fabricated to hide the truth that the NED and its associated groups NDI, IRI and others are CIA fronts operating with Congressional and USAID funding to manipulate internal politics and electoral processes in foreign countries with a view to install puppet governments, or simply to divide them by nurturing separatist movements. In former Yugoslavia the NED financed the terrorist group ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Kosovo Liberation ArmyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (KLA), through the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Center for International Private Enterprise” (CIPE).

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The undermining of the government of President Manuel Zelaya of Honduras on June 28, 2009 however, provides the most recent example of NDIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s treacherous activities. (A previous item by this writer on Lankaweb, 12 July 2009, titled ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”American foreign policy duplicity and deception reaches new lows in HondurasƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ that was reproduced in a number of mainstream Latin American Spanish media provides a summary of this disgraceful event): essentially, NED, IRI and NDI and the Pentagon funded, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ advised, armed and commanded the plotters including sections of the Honduran armed forces.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Leading up to the coup, USAID and the NED annually disbursed $50 million for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”democracy promotionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in Honduras. In a moment of lapsed concentration, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a USAID report accounting for its funding and work with a front named ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Honduran National Business CouncilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (COHEP) described that the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”low profile maintained by USAID in this project helped ensure the credibility of COHEP as a Honduran organisation and not an arm of USAIDƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The purpose of the coup was to prevent President ZelayaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s planned constitutional reforms designed to allow the Honduran people a voice and a role in the political process. In 2009, IRI spent US $1.2 million supporting ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”think tanksƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”pressure groupsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in Honduras; just a month before the coup IRI had funded the formation of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”a coalitionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ named ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Democratic Civil Union of HondurasƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ led by the Transparency International organ in the country, the National Anticorruption Council. The ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”coalitionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ included business magnates, political parties, some Catholic clergy and private media outlets opposed to Zelaya reforms. They referred to themselves as a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”civil societyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ organisation. After the coup, they denied it was a coup, and claimed that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”democracy had been savedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ from the hands of President Zelaya!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Between 2000 and 2004, in Haiti USAID, NDI and IRI funded the groups of mainly pale skinned upper class business people, the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Democratic ConvergenceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ and G-184. They contributed to the US branding of the Catholic priest turned humane politician, President Aristide a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”dictatorƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. The US corporate media reported AristideƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s kidnapping by the CIA and the US forces to Bangui, Central African Republic a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”voluntary departureƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ that led to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”restoration of democracyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in Haiti. The US Congressional Black Caucus insisted Aristide did not resign, and he was kidnapped.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In Venezuela, the NED continues to fund so-called ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”civil society organisationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ led by a group named ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Democratic CoordinationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, with the hope of initiating a coup against President Hugo Chavez.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The evil nature of the NDI is manifest through the people who are behind it: the current NDI Chair is Madeleine K. Albright, America’s ambassador to the UN during Bill Clinton’s first term (1993-1997), and Secretary of State during his second (1997-2000).

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The woman has a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”colourfulƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ history in the annals of the failed neocons attempt to take over the world. Professional bureaucrats at the State Department were so disgusted by this womanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s global agenda, they often refused to offer her assistance, forcing her to rely on a small group of Zionist neocon operatives in the service.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Following revelation by the Washington Post that Albright was a Jewess, she made a transparently fraudulent attempt to hide her Jewish identity by claiming, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”all this was a major surprise to me.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ But many Americans who knew the family confirmed her Jewish roots by publicising that her fatherƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s name was Josef Korbel, and the family fled Czechoslovakia in1948, when she was 11, to the US as refugees. Busted!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ AlbrightƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s penchant for war and insensitivity to murder and human suffering earned her the nickname in the State Department, and in sections of the media, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”witch without the broomƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. Her facial resemblance to caricatures of witches is uncanny!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ She was largely responsible for the UN sanctions that caused a far greater number of deaths, particularly of children, in Iraq than Bush the idiotƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s invasion and its aftermath. In response to a question (in 1996) by Lesley Stahl of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”60 MinutesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ on US sanctions against Iraq: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, is the price worth it?ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ This monster of a woman answered: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-I think this is a very hard choice, but, we think the price is worth it.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ AmericaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s hatred of her devilish face became clearly apparent during Clinton Presidency, at a stunt she organised with the connivance of CNN with the hope of garnering public support, as well as to force Clinton to an Iraq war. At the meeting held at Ohio State University and aired exclusively on CNN, she appeared with the then Defense Secretary William Cohen and the then National Security Adviser Sandy Berger; AlbrightƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s attempt to explain her policy was drowned out by the chanting of the audience (of over 6000 undergraduates and others, much more than she had bargained for): “One, two, three, four, we don’t want your racist war”. She reacted: ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”what we are doing is being the indispensable nation, willing to make the world safe for our children and grandchildren, and for nations who follow the rulesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Albright also devised the disgraceful US policy in Rwanda and push for the so-called ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”humanitarian bombingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of Yugoslavia, policies that destroyed AmericaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s reputation and credibility in the world.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Albright, considered by Clinton as an expert on the Balkans exerted direct decisive influence on the USA’s Balkan policies in the early 1990s, and was instrumental in creating the Yugoslavian war, by persuading the Bosnian Muslim leader Alija Izetbegovic to retract from the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Lisbon AgreementƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ by promising to make him the head of the first Islamic state in Europe! Izetbegovic foolishly complied and declared independence, effectively granting the neocon objective of the complete pulverisation of Yugoslavia. The blame for the war that resulted, destroying the country and its peoples, was put entirely on the Serbs and their leader Slobodan Milosevic.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Colin Powell reports in his book, My American Journey (p.576) that he resisted pressure from Albright to commit US forces to Bosnia, due to the lack of a clear political objective [not revealed to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”himƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ perhaps!]. She posed the question: “What’s the point of having this superb military that you’re always talking about if we can’t use it?”

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ As for the bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, she convinced Clinton that a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”little bombingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ of Yugoslavia would force Milosevic to sign the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”peace accordƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, allowing NATO forces to occupy the entire country, including Kosovo. Milosevic refused to sign ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and the result was a merciless 78-day bombing campaign which killed and injured thousands of people and completely destroyed the country’s entire social and economic infrastructure.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The war on Yugoslavia was carried out without the approval of the UN Security Council, in violation of the UN Charter, the US Constitution, almost every treaty signed by Yugoslavia with European countries since World War I, and it was in violation of the NATO Treaty itself, which requires NATO to settle international disputes peacefully and to refrain from the threat or use of force “in any manner inconsistent with the purposes of the United Nations.” Much of its actual conduct, including the bombing of civilian infrastructure, was in violation of Geneva Conventions.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Currently she is also engaged in a business, as Chair of Albright Stonebridge Group (ASG), described as a global strategy firm, and Chair of Albright Capital Management LLC, an investment advisory firm focused on emerging markets; the boundary between the services her business provides and the NDI is vague, to say the least!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ She is probably overseeing, from outside the US government foreign policy apparatus, the financing of various Muslim groups in the East, and the news is that they are closely monitoring the constitutional amendment process, with focus on UNP agreement for any key changes. There are suggestions that the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Sunday LeaderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ has no financial worries anymore!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The government needs to carefully watch not them, but their local cohorts and agents such as J.C. Weliamuna, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Paikiasothy Saravanamuttu, the Leader Group, JVP, UNP, and Sarath Fonseka in particular.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Their finances need to be open to the country from here on; money is the excreta they throw at traitors as sustenance!

As Ajith is rightly pointing out the Western Christian nations will not rest until our motherland is divided and quartered to suit their wishes for the region. This time around arming of the muslims in the east of Sri Lanka is a likely scenario. Muslims are not fatigued as are the Tamils in the region. There are several muslim insurgencies going around in South East Asia – from Thailand to Philippines. The entire seaboard to the East of Sri Lanka can become staging boards for a Muslim insurgency. There will not be any difficulty for the CIA to engineer such an uprising – a la Al Qaida in Afghanistan so that they can get a foot hold later on as they did in Afghanistan.

All this do not bode well for what the President has initiated for the nation including development of the Hambantota region. We were foolish enough not to annihilate the Tamil insurgency groups when they first surfaced after the Vadukkodai Resolution. The result was over 30 years of Tamil insurgency leading to full scale warfare and immense loss of life. The thing to do is to nip in the bud any rise of insurgency and get rid of the NGOs and INGOs out to ‘teach’ us morals, human rights and democracy.

Our price of liberty lies in asserting the authority of the nations throughout its length and breadth, inculcating a sense of patriotism, eternal vigilance and not allowing insurgent mosquitoes to breed.

As for Ranil and his cohorts nothing is impossible when it comes to treachery. These Christian Agents of the imperialists must be under the radar at all times for what treachery and injury they can cause and bring to our motherland.

What Ajith says is evident from NDI’s website: http://www.ndi.org/. Interestingly their activities are not in the big countries like USA, UK, Canada and Australia. Only the small nations are targetted by the NDI. Ajith thank you for making the readers aware of these crooked forces. There are other organizations that you may be able to shed light on such as, http://www.internews.org/regions/asia/default.shtm?gclid=CNCm9NiB-KICFRMslAodx33Ziw

This article appeared on the Internet of July 19th, 2010:

“Washington (CNN) — The Sept. 11, 2001, attacks has created an intelligence community that has become so large and unwieldy that (in USA), it’s unmanageable, inefficient and no one knows how much money it costs, according to a two-year-long investigation by the Washington Post.
Ahead of the publication, many in the intelligence community were anxious — fearful that the stories would disclose too much information about contractors and the classified tasks they handle.
The Washington Post article that appeared in Monday’s edition says its investigation uncovered “a Top Secret America hidden from public view and lacking in thorough oversight. After nine years of unprecedented spending and growth, the result is that the system put in place to keep the United States safe is so massive that its effectiveness is impossible to determine.”
The Post investigation found that “33 building complexes for top-secret intelligence work are under construction or have been built since September 2001,” or the equivalent of nearly three Pentagons.
“Some 1,271 government organizations and 1,931 private companies work on programs related to counterterrorism, homeland security and intelligence in about 10,000 locations across the United States,” according to the Post, with an estimated 854,000 people holding top-secret security clearances” ……. etc.etc.

The article speaks for itself of duplicated work etc. ! We hope developing countries like Lanka will benefit from a probable ‘clean up’ of the US intelligence community.
