REMOVAL OF TRAVEL ADVISORY ON SRI LANKA

PRESS RELEASE FRIENDS OF SRI LANKA (CANADA)
ItƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s with great pleasure that Canadian Friends of Sri Lanka (CFSL) welcome the very friendly decision taken by Canadian Government to relax the travel adversary notificationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ against the North and East of Sri Lanka. At this moment we should also acknowledge theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ activism shown by the Canadian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, His Excellency Mr. Bruce Levy, who has insisted on several occasions that Sri Lanka is now a terrorism free country that anyone can travel throughout the country without fear as he himself experiences now.
We Canadian Sri Lankans would like to congratulate the Canadian Government on this occasion for taking such a positive decision to help re-build this war devastated nation, despiteƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ negative campaign against Sri Lanka spearheadedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by the pro-LTTE groups based in Canada.
