Sir:

Now, now, now, what’s all this then?  You say that in British Columbia a federal judge ordered a stay Wednesday on the release of another Tamil migrant from the MV Sun Sea.  The reason you say is that the government needs more time to authenticate identities of the migrants who arrived on the B.C. coast on August 13.

You also gave me the impression that the identities of all these illegal Tamil migrants on Sun Sea were well sewn up and also that of the identities of their relatives in Sri Lanka when you reported on September 1 that “Police look into theft of computer with Tamil migrant info”.  “The computer was stolen during a break in at the head office of the Canadian Tamil Congress, which had been keeping records of migrants and their families in Canada and Sri Lanka,” you reported.  That almost gave me the impression that the Canadian Tamil Congress was part of the equation of this criminal human smuggling fiasco. as they obviously knew these illegal migrants and their relatives in Canada and Sri Lanka before they started floating towards Canada from the Thailand waters.

Let’s hope that the RCMP can unravel this mystery for us and choke the finances of the actors, if they are Canadians, and stop this Tamil human smuggling racket for good.

Its a very good point you raised about the identities of these boat people. If the Canadian authorities are unable to obtain the identities of these “MV Sun Sea” illegal immigrants, how did the Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) have their identities as well as details of relatives loaded on to their computers? Is the CTC involved in this human smuggling scheme? Will the Canadian authorities investigate this possibility and take appropriate action against the CTC and its office bearers?
