MICHIGAN STAGE SET FOR AN UNPRECEDENTED ‘WAVES’

It is exactly the same case for the upcoming mega event of “Waves”-The Ultimate Experience.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Waves, a fundraising multi cultural entertaining evening comprising Sri Lankan, Indian, Scottish, Vietnamese, Bangladeshi, Japanese, Chinese, Thai and other national artists will be held on Saturday the 04th of December at the Wallace F. Smith Performing Arts Theater in Oakland Community College in Farmington Hills Michigan from 2.00 to 5.00 pm. This unique evening is raising funds for the Michigan Sri Lankan Buddhist Temple, Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara or GLBV (www.GLBVihara.org ) located in the city of Southfield.

The unwavering and tireless effort of the dedicated organizing committee of Waves has already surpassed its specific target value for the aforementioned fundraising task just by collecting advertisements for the Waves souvenir itself. This also is an unprecedented achievement of the thirteen year history of Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara. The Waves organizing committee members Dharshan Thalagala (leader), H.R. Dissanayake, Dr. Kapila Wadumestrige, Chinthana Herath, Sunill Jayawardane, Prasad Ramawickrama and Shripal Nishshanka Fernando have their own assigned tasks and often help each other to fulfill the targets.

Approximately 400 attendees are expected to attend this function including local government officials and national government leaders. The tickets are sold at $15 for general public and $10 for the students. Children under 12 will be freely admitted. The targeted audience traditionally support and patronize friends of multi cultural communities and Waves will be a cutting edge experience for multi cultural professional entertaining events in Michigan.

The Waves committee members have mentioned their thankful gratitude to the support extended to the event by local government officials, the Michigan governorƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s office and the Embassy of Sri Lanka by sending an envoy of the ambassador to the Waves evening.

Undoubtedly Waves will be a thrilling experience to its audience with beautiful multi cultural performance of songs, dances, dramas and musical instrumentation on one stage in one evening.
