This year Hajj has come out with lots of hardships and money swindling by the Hajj committee who was appointed to look after the interest of hajees. They instead of looking after the hajees they put all hajees in to difficulties. Whatever they may say over the media facts are stubborn. Every hajee will bear witness to it.therefore pleaseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  appoint a committeeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  of inquiry to go in to details to see where they have gone wrong. Forget about their political background and bring them to books.

He had gone alone and booked a muallim for sr 1000 where as there were muallims at the rate of sr 600 ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” 650. No 42 muallim informed the Hajj committee and the Hajj operaters that he is prepared to accomadate sri lankans hajees at the rate of sr 630. Muallims rate was sr 650 according to his office then to whose account did this balance sr 350 go to.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Secondly we were told accomadation that was available was for 5000 hajees. This Hajj committee requested the muallim to increse the mattresses to accommodate nearly 6250 hajees. That was the reason for our accomadation problem.Itoo was there when the muallim office said that whatever the extra we put above 5000 is a subject you have to ask from your Hajj committee. Therefore the problem in the tents was created by this so called committee and not the muallim.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Thare were 5800 hajees, children nearly 100, 100 free visas, 125 officials (besha), the embassy staff, their families and their friends and the 30 hajees who went with the medical team. Among them were family members of the committee members, and political supporters of these committee members…

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Muallim charged sr 1000 from all hajees (5800 hajees). If sr 350 had been taken by the member of the committee whos activities makes ones suspicious balance 2000 hajees sr 1000 riyals per hajee would have gone in to his pocket.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This is big money. This they could have utilised to provide better service for hajees. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But so far no body knows why this member was allowed to act indipendently.

This member has submitted a list of ten names of operaters to be black listed, this is something the Hajj committee or the department is unaware of…

This type of activities by the so called member to silence the operaters from speaking about the facilities that was promised. ( where ever he goes he says that he is a friend of his exellency, and also has been appointed by his exellency to be incharge of all Hajj matters).

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This is the first time in the history of Hajj money swindling has taken place and tarnished the images of all other members of the Hajj committee. If action is not taken against this culprit every year this type of swindling will take place.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This year we were told that everything was money to the committee. An application form was issued for rs 25,000 (150). Registration fee for a travels was rs 100,000 (100). Banners were printed by the committee and sold at the rate of rs 3000 (100).

The other problems in short were 100 travel agents had to cook their three time meals during Hajj only with 6 burners. As per the agreement the services were not provide by the muallim. Especially bus service, 24 hours tea and daily morning breakfast are some. TherfoeIhumbly request your excellency to appoint an inquiry committee.
