It is well known and must never be forgotten that India funded, trained and supported LTTE. There is no need to be confrontational with India, but threats from India need to be identified and recognized and counter measures taken. If the war continued, there would have been economic ruin of the country, loss of life, most probably the loss of the only home land for the Sinhalese and the start of the extinction of the Sinhalese. Remember that India rescued Prabakaran in 1987 and took him to India, when Rajiv Gandhi forced Sri Lanka to stop the war. Observe that LTTE was an Indian and Foreign funded terror organisation. It was foreigners, mainly the West, that took lot of effort to stop the war. Remember the efforts of Hillary Clinton, Robert Blake, David Miliband and Bernard Kouchner who worked overtime to have the war halted.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is utterly fraudulent for Western countries that carried out mass killings in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam and Japan to champion human rights to save terrorists. If the terror war continued, then the West could have destabilized the country, and may even have brought about a division of the County as in Sudan. Wickileaks have exposed the stupidity of our politicians such as Ranil W. the famous Royal Gona, and the hypocrisy of Western nations, that pretended to be champions of human rights. It is indeed an utter act of stupidity to import communications equipment for the enemy.

Norwegians have helped terrorists and have even helped a terrorist ship to escape, and yet we have invited the Norwegians back to Sri Lanka. It is amazing that RW who has helped terrorists to import communication equipment and has done numerous anti Sri Lankan activities, is still practicing as a politician, instead of facing trial as a traitor. The damage done to Sri Lanka from naƒÆ’†’ƒ”š‚¯ve Western politicians and the support they have provided to terrorists need to be investigated properly and the culprits exposed. Terrorist supporters were from mono ethnic Tamil areas and Prabakaran took steps to eject Muslims and Sinhalese from their traditional home lands to create mono ethnic Tamil areas.

The damage done by Prabakaran, in the ethnic cleansing field has to be corrected. If we are to stop future wars then we should be fully aware of threats from foreign links, such as Indian links, threats from mono ethnic areas in Sri Lanka, and threats from NGOƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s with foreign links. Indian consulates in Jaffna and Hambantota are deadly anti Sri Lankan bases in Sri Lanka. Now even certain areas in Colombo, our hill country and even most of coastal areas are mono ethnic Tamil areas. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is interesting to observe that, over 30% of professional jobs are held by 12% of these minority Tamils who enjoy twice the per capita income as of Sinhalese, their rate of unemployment is half of the Sinhalese. The majority Sinhalese were deprived its rightful statusƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  throughout colonial rule and were treated as second class citizens in their own country. This is nothingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  unique to the Sinhalese, as until recently, Bolivian natives were second class citizens in their own country, as were aboriginal Australians and the native Maoris. Shenali Waduge). It is fair to ask why are the Sinhalese behind other ethnic groups in economic activity.

Analysis of source of funding for the terror war clearly indicate that the bulk of funding came from the West. Wikileaks has indicated that Western diplomats are clueless about the true situation in Sri Lanka, and decisions on Sri Lanka may have been based on incorrect information. It is hilarious that Soldheim, the ill informed Tamil sympathiser wanted to coach PresidentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  MR. Also there is clear evidence that the West did very little to stop the propaganda and fund raising by LTTE terrorists.

Propaganda, deception, fraud and lies were the main tools of LTTE terrorists. The West appear to have swallowed LTTE lies, to deceive itself.

LTTE subtly used the media to disseminate their propaganda lies and condition people psychologically to believe that Tamils were discriminated and were the victims, when the opposite was true. The Sinhalese were the victims of empire building Tamils, attempting to expand the Tamil homeland Tamil Nadu. LTTE was extremely good at networking, and LTTE network provided assistance to the bogus refugees, not only with guidance on obtaining legal aid, but also how to milk the system. LTTE network, through lobbying, which included, one to one communication, through exhibitions, through using performances, through entertainment, using gifts and bribery etc, managed to have considerable influence over British MPs and media. LTTE engaged in its propaganda warfare in a very professional manner and countering LTTE propaganda also requires professional level competence. GOSL badly lost the propaganda war.

LTTE and its fronts made a very simple scheme, and a sure fire method , to generate funds, as given below :

Claim for refugee status on wild false allegations against Sri Lanka. Obtain free state benefits given to refugees, including housing, living expenses, education and healthcare. Contribute part of the benefits to LTTE or their fronts. The money given to LTTE or their fronts can then be used for propaganda against GOSL or the terror war effort.

In short, the Tax payers of the West, was funding the terror war in Sri Lanka. There is also a link between benefits fraud and bogus refugees. References [1] and [2] give a clear unbiased evidence of UK funding terrorism and how funds were raised in UK for terrorist activities in Sri Lanka.

Tamils have been trying to seek refugee status in UK and Canada, which is thousands of miles away, bypassing IndiaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Tamil Nadu, just a few miles away, where 65 million of their Tamil brethren live. Tamil Nadu actually means land of Tamils. Seeking refugee status in UK, bypassing Tamil Nadu is clearly a fraud.

Why was the West so passive against LTTE. Did they want to destabilize Lanka, make Prabakaran strong and then make Prabakaran destabilize India , creating a blood bath in the whole region ? From the manner of the conduct of the West, it is clear that they wanted terrorism to continue in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka should strengthen intelligence gathering operations overseas so that LTTE supporters are identified and catalogued and denied entry to Sri Lanka.
