In preparation for the Sri Sambuddha Jayanthiya, observing the Dasa sil ritual, the highest form of religious observance obtainable by a common person, Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka, Western Province Minister Udaya Prabhath Gamanpila, Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe together with 22 other devotees, clad in white shaved their heads according to buddhist rituals and embarked on a 10 day Dasa Sil observance and Meditation at Sadhaham Sevana Viharaya, Gothami Road Rajagiriya this morning (08/05/2011) ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ SubsequentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to the afternoon alms giving rituals the group headed by minister Ranawaka whoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ entered temporaryƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ consecratedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ life by observing Dasa Sil for the next 10 days at the Kanduboda Wipassana Bhawana Center will engage inƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Meditation and observance of seela forsaking of all theirƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ worldlyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ pleasures and responsibilities,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ abstaining from committing any wrongdoing by way of speech, hearing or sight.

Minister Champika Ranawaka is a true patriotic hero of our days. Minister Champika Ranawaka, Dr.Gunadasa Amarasekera, Prof. Nalin de Silva, Soma Thero, Rathana Thero, Mr.S.L Gunasekera, Minister Gammanpila are famous Sri Lankans who have seen the danger of tamil racist terrorism against Sri Lanka and Sinhala nation. Bravely they educated Sinhala society how dangerous the tamil terrorism. Then only Sinhala community understood and realized what is going to happen to them.
When Chandrika (Dona Katherina) tried to implement PTOM in 2006, with prabakaran and Norway. J.H.U’s Rathana Thero who objected and stopped it. In Mavil Aru scenario JHU led the campaign for Eastern Province farmers. This was the turning point of LTTE’s defeat and later wiped out from Eastern Province and entire Sri Lanka.
As a peace loving Sri Lankan I am always appreciate and grateful to JHU and Minister Ranawaka for the brave service they have done to Sri Lanka.
