Robert Blake continues with his patronizing pronouncements on Sri Lanka in his assumed role of the US appointed Viceroy of Sri Lanka. One particular mantra that he never fails to repeat about Sri Lanka is along the lines of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-a just solution that allows Tamils and Muslims equal political rightsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

This advice, apart from being unsolicited is misleading and inaccurate. We want Mr. Blake to clearly articulate the political rights that he thinks are denied to Sri Lankans who belong to the Tamil and Muslim ethnic groups without making vague pronouncements. As clearly expressed in the constitution of Sri Lanka there are NO political, social or religious rights denied to any ethnic group. Hence we are quite interested for him to clarify his point of view without marketing riddles. Further, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚the political solutionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ demanded by Blake, a few of his colleagues at US embassy in Colombo and the NGO clan means the recognition of exclusive homelands of Tamils in any form, it should be remembered that the Sri Lankans have rejected the concept in toto.

While lecturing and hectoring Sri Lanka, a country which has made unprecedented post-war advancements in the areas of resettlement, rehabilitation and re-construction, Mr. Blake has found time from his busy schedule to meet with members of the Global Tamil Forum(GTF) which is a front for the remnants of the LTTEƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s international network. When news of this meeting leaked out Mr. Blake hurriedly issued a statement trying to cover up his meeting with the GTF indicating that he would never meet with members of a terrorist organisation and that the meeting was part of his on going discussions with various groups from the Diaspora. Mr. Blake cannot be ignorant or ill-informed about the GTF. Those who are conversant with the US geo political interests understand that the meeting was a part of the US strategy of destabilising Sri Lanka and wish to effect possible regime change. Given the extensive intelligence gathering capabilities at the disposal of the likes of Mr. Blake, the direct and indirect recognition given to the LTTE separatist rump in the USA cannot be brushed aside as a simple PR exercise.

We request Mr. Blake to recognize and appreciate the sacrifices made by the masses and members of the Armed Forces of Sri Lanka to manage effectively the largest hostage rescue operation in the world when close to 300,000 civilians held hostage by the LTTE were rescued. Rather than attempting to vilify Sri Lanka based on false allegations made by the LTTEƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s international network, Blake should be appreciative of the ground breaking advancements made by Sri Lanka in the fight against global terrorism. As for accountability, we like Mr. Blake to take note that Sri Lanka will decide to conduct its own investigation if and when credible evidence is made available. To date no such evidence has been presented.

We request Mr. Blake to stop interfering in the internal affairs of Sri Lanka and to stop attempting to ram solutions dictated from Washington down the throats of the Sri Lankan people which may very well be against the best interests of Sri Lanka. We also like Mr. Blake to take note that Sri Lanka with minimal help from the USA was able to defeat the most ruthless terrorist group in the world. Similarly Sri Lanka is quite capable of working out a sustainable durable peace through a home grown solution through its own efforts, obtaining assistance from the international community only if and when it is deemed necessary by the people living and tasting the fruits of peace and freedom in Sri Lanka.

BlakeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s continued harassment is fuelling anti US sentiments even amongst the pro Western Sri Lankan citizenry at a time when USAƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s stocks in Asia are at its lowest ebb. We suggest to Mr. Blake to be a true friend to Sri Lanka by assisting Sri Lanka in its reconstruction, rehabilitation, re-settlement and development activities and to stop meddling in the internal affairs of Sri Lanka.

In Afganistan children were taught to hate Americans. It was in the news in CNN. No need to teach anybody to hate America. Automatically every human being hates America for what they are doing to this world. Their foreign policy is hated by all peace loving people in the world. Their double standard towards countries and the way they destroy human lives, they way they destroy poor countries, the way they get rid of leaders who dont bow down to them etc.

All these big politicians can be bought for money. They will do any low class thing for money. These individuals are shameless and they think they are the most well educated masters of all living creatures but we know they are all greedy, power hungry, stupid, shameless individuals who will come and vanish to thin air like flies Blake too one of them. We should not respect these evil SOB’s
