This is a humble appeal to you Mr. President Obama. As a Sri Lankan I congratulate you for ordering the killing of the second most deadliest terrorist in the world Osama bin Laden, the first deadliest terrorist being LTTE leader Prabhakaran killed by Sri Lankan forces despite your country and the remaining west were mollycoddling and trying to save his life. I believe the majority Sri Lankans who suffered under LTTEƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s brutality would agree with me for congratulating your US special force NAVY SEALS for carrying out the assassination of Osama , the second most deadliest terrorist in the world.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We have no qualms as to how Osama was killed though he was unarmed. We donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t want to analyze the different versions of the killing given by your state departments. We Sri Lankans will not want to ponder as to why unarmed Osama bin Laden was shot and killed instead of capturing. Only problem is had we done it, you and the whole of the western world would be turning against us. Unlike the Geronimo operation ( Navy Seals against one individual who was not at war at the time he was killed but in a cosy company with his wife), Sri Lanka was at war with the LTTE terrorist outfit and question of killing unarmed terrorists doesnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t arise. But my concern is why America having faulted herself conspires with UNSG insisting on war crime charges against Sri Lanka?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lankans strongly believe that it was USA and BritainƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s influence that forced UNSG Ban-ki-Moon to appoint the so called inexpert panel to charge Sri Lankan President and her forces for war crimes. Are not we reasonable in asking Ban-ki-Moon to appoint another expert panel to investigate into the killing of unarmed Osama and bring war criminal charges against you and the forces who killed him? IsnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t it another ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Goose & GanderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ story.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We have never questioned why America killed an unarmed terrorist instead of capturing him. After all Osama is a terrorist. But Prabhakaran got killed in the war front when he was fighting against the Government forces. But sadly your country with your power base either directly or indirectly appeared to have influenced UNSG Ban-ki Moon so much so to the extent of getting him to appoint a panel to investigate of war crimes by the Sri Lankan Government during the last phase of the war. Ban-ki Moon who is a puppet on a string manipulated by USA, UK and some EU countries appointed a panel arbitrarily to investigate Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s role during the last phase of the war to please USA and UK. Mr. Obama , is it fair and reasonable? You and your administration appear to be influenced by the LTTE proxy of Tamil expatriates whilst LTTE was a banned terrorist outfit in USA. Can you please Mr. Obama ask UNSG whether saving the lives of 280000 ordinary Tamil civilians who were held hostage and used as human shields by LTTE is a war crime? DonƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t you see it as a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The biggest humanitarian OperationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to date a country has ever undertaken with least number of civilian casualty.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka as a member of the UNO has not questioned UNSG as to why a panel not appointed into the killing of Osama by US forces when he was unarmed. Sri Lanka as a member of UN has not asked UNSG as to why not take action against USA for trespassing another countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s territory without permission which amounts to an invasion of PakistanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s sovereignty. Being a small nation, we know that we cannot knock our head against a big hard rock. TodayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s papers say (14/5/2011) that as a part of a revenge, Al QaedaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s two suicide bombers had killed 80 paramilitary cadets in Pakistan. Who pays for your sins? IsnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t it the Pakistanis?

Your Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the head of the Asian desk Robert Blake are after the blood of Sri Lanka since the brutal LTTE terrorist outfit was defeated. Both of them still cannot digest the humiliation they faced by annihilation of LTTE terrorist outfit. Does LTTE dollars talk? I donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t know. But, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The Tamils for ObamaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ front and another Tamil Expatriate front alleged to have financially supporting the election campaigns for you and Hillary. The Conclusive annihilation of the LTTE is not the result expected by USA lead west. They just canƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t digest the humiliation they faced despite their conspiracy which your administration was a partner to save LTTE. The wikileaks throws much lights to prove their involvement in trying to give oxygen to LTTE including Norway and get the LTTE leader Prabhakaran and his top terrorists saved.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Infect, our President Rajapaksa stood stern despite the international conspiracy and gave orders without any hesitation as commander of chief of Sri Lanka to his forces not to look back without annihilating LTTE conclusively. When SL Government forces were about to capture the lost territory in the North, USA and your allied west wanted us to stop the war to save the number one deadliest terrorist Prabhakran and his organization but our strong President Rajapaksa did not succumb to Western conspirators but continued the assault and finally annihilated Prabhakaran and his LTTE. It is no secret that your administration acted to save the number one terrorist Prabhakaran at any cost? But sir, you are now boasting and rejoicing for having given the command to kill Osama (not to capture) and to say proudly ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-World is safer, itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s a better placeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Justice is doneƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and you and Hillary Clinton were watching the operation ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-GeronimoƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Ironically, now you and your administration, your Asian Desk head Robert Blake are supporting the Ban-ki- Moon report against Sri Lanka, his President and her forces. IsnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t it a bastardly thing to do? When will you and the west stop playing your stinking hobby ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Double Standard on small countriesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But yet, we Sri Lankans are ready to condone you for your double standard with the earnest hope that you would stop your Double Standard attitude on small and weak countries like Sri Lanka who is trying her best to build up the country after 30 years of destruction by LTTE. As I mentioned before, I reiterate the fact that we have no qualms whether Osama was unarmed or not or whether he was getting cover under a woman hostage, supposed to be one of his wives. But please leave Sri Lanka alone for her to continue with her development and humanitarian work undertaken towards a sustainable peace in Sri Lanka. Towards this, we request you to ask your good friend UNSG to ignore the inexpert panel report as it as it has no legal validity and leave our small country alone in peace ( I am sure he will listen to you) so that Sri Lanka can move forward with national reconciliation and development of the country she has already embarked on. Mr. Obama ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-YES YOU CANƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and We will ever be grateful to you if you can comply with this humble request.
