It seems quite high handed and totally unethical thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ A British film documenting the final bloody weeks of Sri Lanka’s civil war, which it claims provides evidence of war crimes committed by government forces, will be broadcast on television on Tuesday at a time when the controversies rage over what really transpired, nothing has beep proven beyond reasonable doubt and the so called evidence backing up the allegations visibly doctored and cooked up towards which expert opinions have confirmed related doubts about authenticity.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It seems easy enough to suggest thet the material The Channel 4 film usesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  consists of mobile phone, ‘official’ army and Tamil footage, satellite imagery and stills shot in the final stages of the Sri Lankan army’s battle against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) separatists in 2009 which have been contradicted and contested by the GOSLƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as a pack of lies created by disgruntled Tamil diaspora who were supportive of the Tamil Tigers and much evidence and plausible reasoning to to the contrary toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ accept the Government’s viewpoint yetƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  British Television has the audacity quite overlooking protocols involved which could harm diplomatic ties between the two countries in an extreme case scenario and is typical of the bourgeoise mentality of organizations like the BBC who often seize the opportunity for cheap publicity which all this is tantamount to despite the serious nature of the portrayals in the fim which appear to be visibly cooked up from more than one perspective and certainy from the perspective of 100 percent accuracy which it lacks according to credible sources.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
If the makers of this fim and the British minister who has made comments about the graphic nature issuing cautions about viewingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ were truly interested in authenticity about the real horrors of the insurgency by the Tamil tigers against innocent Sri Lankan civilians it needs to incorporate the protective, humanitarianƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and compassionate role played by the Sri Lankan Armed Forces,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  evidence of which is available in relatedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ documented material they could use towards propagating in a civil and decent manner to the world and only need to request such from the official sources within Sri lanka responsible for ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ documenting the 30 year old insurgencyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ rather than resorting to what appears to be a cheap shot to appease the disgruntled Tamil Terrorist supportives which is probably what this is all about.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Some of this footage has already been broadcast, including video allegedly showing troops executing Tamil prisoners. Two UN investigators have confirmed the video as authentic( did someone say The UN? Hmm !!)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ where experts who have greater credibility and are authorities on documented film authenticity and alterationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ have contradicted their so called confirmations as incorrect,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and the Sri Lankan authorities alsoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ continue toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ maintain their stance thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the information is falseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ .
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The 50-minute film, “Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields”, includes footage of the aftermath of the targeted shelling of civilian hospitals and the bodies of female Tamil fighters who appear to have been sexually assaulted which experts seem to think are reversed portrayals, falsely implicating the Armed ForcesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ using graphically altered material which in reality areƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ atrocities carried out by the Tamil Tigers, including the use of human shields and the aftermath of a suicide bombing in a government centre for the displaced, emphasising thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ crimes against humanity were committed by the Tamil Tigers alone which is easy enough to believe given the reputation of the Tamil Tigers and their leader who were provenly ruthless, heinous,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  barbaric and hell bent on massacre of the Sinhala Nation which unfolded for over three decades and finally annihilated by the Sri Lankan Government backed Armed Forces which reality seems hard to stomach for those who broadcast such bipartisan bilge!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Channel 4’s head of news and current affairs, Dorothy Byrne, said: ‘The footage is probably the most horrific the channel has ever shown.’ and in saying so seems to emphasize the bifurcated nature of her comments as what gives her and Channel 4 carte blanche to publicise such materialƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  termed horrendous and obviously duplicitous ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ when there are so many contradictions andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  much evidence which points to the guilt of theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  terrorists in a bid to overrun a Sovereign Nation where a single word has not been said in support of the Nation’s right to resist?
