UNSG should take action against Darusman and panel members

Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General should take action, not against Sri Lanka, but against his own Advisory Panel headed by Darusman, for providing a report consisting of hearsay, inaccuracies and lies.

As Daily News reported on July 1, 2011, even Yasushi Akashi, Senior Advisor on Foren Policy, Japan has noted that, “the professional study of the report submitted to the Secretary General, when compared with the documents of relevant INGOs would show that there were much copying and passing off other people’s writings as the views of the Commissioners.”

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Therefore, UN Secretary General, if he has any guts, should take action against Darusman and other panel members for doing a shoddyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ jobƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that affects the credibility of UN and also for wasting precious UN resources.

Dear Mr. Albert Fernando~ Edmonton, AB

Very happy to hear from another learned friend. YES! I too read about Mr. Akashi’s comments about Danusman report. Agree with you re: some action by UNSG for the hardships, discrediting a Sovereign State (another member of UN), in such manner.

We all as concerned lankans must be very proactive when one after the other, each party takes a KICK at the can as it were, with their pronouncements & criticisms which are based on balant lies. Plz keep up the good work.
    Sincerely, Gamunu Alahakkone
