How clean are the hands of USA, UK, and France threatening to take Sri Lanka Armed Forces before a tribunal for war crimes, for the elimination of terrorism?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ UK Channel 4, with the blessing of the Navi Pillai UNHCHR , Tamil LTTE diaspora, the Human rights activists, the Anti Sri Lanka Western Countries, Milliband, Kouchner, Ban Ki Moon and his panel, have presented to the viewers in UK and sold their infamous doctored document ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚« Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Killing Fields ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚» to naive governments of the world to convert them to the side of those who claim Sri Lanka Armed Force has committed war crimes in the elimination of terrorism.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Do they the International Community led by USA, UK and France really know what it is to, ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚« live with ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚» terrorism ?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ No they do not . For them it had not been a case of almost weekly claymore bombs, suicide bombs in buses and trains, in market places, shooting of personalities by snipers, or massacring, hacking to death innocent villagers and busload of monks or shooting point blank surrendered 600 police officers , and living in fear of terrorists attacks, as it happened in Sri Lanka, with ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚Sri LankanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ terrorists during 30 long years.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ For USA-terrorism was the massacre of the 3000 or more people by ramming air planes in to buildings, for UK terrorism is the bombs set by Al Queda in the under ground and a bus in the heart of London killing 37 and wounding over 300 in July, 2005, for Germany terrorism is the Black September when the Israel Olympic team was taken as hostages and eventually killed by the Palestenian terrorists, and for Spain terrorism is the train bomb that killed 190 people. That terrorism happened once in each one of their countries, and not almost weekly as it was in Sri Lanka, and that made them run after the terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was since then that the USA and the west have accepted their terrorists as real terrorists and other terrorists elsewhere as a misnomer for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-rebelsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. It is only ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- their terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ that matter and in the war against ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-their terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ it is the real war to eliminate terrorism and for which every ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-evilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ is permitted , all deaths of civilians are considered collateral, and all principles of war and Geneva Convention are flouted.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In their view Sovereign State among the developing countries have to put up with their ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ who the International Community calls ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-the rebelsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ . With such ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-rebelsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ the Sovereign states have to negotiate for peace, if not the International Community led by USA, UK and France sets in motion the NATO forces to help the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-rebelsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ against the governments in place as it is happening in Libya.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ UNO which was initially set up to settle disputes between member states to solve the problems and establish peace, is now just an organization at the beck and call of the International Community. It is the NATO, EU, USA Congress, the Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and UNHCHR which is the real power, which overrides the authority of the UNO.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ UNO has been reduced to be a mere tool to give the International Community led by USA, UK and France a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- farcical sanctionƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to fool the world in order to exercise their right of control over the Sovereign States of the developing countries which do not toe their line, and permit their existence as Sovereign States.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The International Community led by USA, UK and France is the supreme power over developing countries. It decides for them what is a good government, and what is a bad government, and moves quickly to remove what they consider is a bad government by pretending to support any rebellious group within that country.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Any voice raised against a country is good enough , as long as it serves them to put the erring Sovereign States of the developing country to order by threat or a warning. It happened in the case of a report issued by a Panel of investigation that the Secretary General of the UN setup to advise him personally on what happened in Sri Lanka during the last phase of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-warƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ against terrorism.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The report was immediately seized by the USA, UK, and France as a valid report to issue stern warnings to Sri Lanka to carry out a valid investigation of the Sri Lanka Armed forces military operations in the last phase of its war against ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-its terroristsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, validity of which will of course be decided by them. Failing that they may set up a provisional Government as Sarkozy the President of France did for Libya, and send the NATO forces to bring the elected government of the Sovereign State to its knees by ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-abusingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ the sanctions of the Security Council of the UN.
USA, UK and France have waged wars, and they know what wars are, they fought the worst of wars in which the enemies were killed in the most brutal manner. They also know that it is at the end of a war that most of the brutalities take place.
It was only at the end of the Second World War that the Allied Armies dropped atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was at the end of the Vietnam war USA ArmyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Operation Rolling Thunder was backed up by the phosphorous and napalm bombs. It caused a great deal of suffering in Vietnam giving many innocent civilians dreadful burns. It was at the end of the war in Algeria that the French Armies committed brutalities against the Algerian people.
That was how all wars are ended. But in the elimination of the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚« terrorists ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚» in Sri Lanka its armed forces were not brutal as the allied armies in the second world war or the USA and French Armies in Vietnam, yet Sri Lanka Armed Force is now constantly under attack, threatened and warned to be taken before a tribunal for war crimes, by the very same West that perpetrated worst crimes in the second world war and in Vietnam, not to mention Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya.
Bombed sites in Libya have been visited by professional scientists working in the Surveying and Collecting Specimens and Laboratory Measuring Group.
The Terrorists as terrorists are perpetrators of terror. The Channel 4 document , which the West upholds as acceptable like the UN Secretary GeneralƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Panel report, did not explain what went before in Sri Lanka that culminated into that horrific end. The persons interviewed were known anti Sri Lanka terrorist sympathisers . No independent witness or commentator from the Sri Lanka Armed Forces was interviewed to defend or explain the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-faked ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-scenes of terror, and the truth or the falsity of the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-sagaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ invented by the Channel4.
Taking that end phase of war against terrorism out of context, to put the blame on the Government Armed Forces without explaining what went before that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-endƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in the document of the Channel 4 ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Killing FieldsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, was to mislead uninformed British viewers to make them believe that the Sri Lanka Army was composed of savage criminals, and facilitate interested parties who sponsored C4, to accuse the Sri Lanka Armed Forces for war crimes.
Surprisingly Channel 4 document did not show the humanitarian side of the Armed Forces rescuing 300,000 or more Tamil Civilians from the clutches of terrorists, who desperate at the end killed fleeing people without ascertaining who they were. That was the culmination of a 30 years of terrorism where there were eye witnesses to the terror spread by the terrorists massacring innocent men women and children, using claymore bombs, suicide bombers , grenade lobbers and snipers.
Therefore the document was one sided and deliberately taken out of context making evident editing of images collected mostly from images of terrorists ‘ own massacres, should not have been allowed to be presented in the UK Channel 4, by democratic British authorities so far accepted for their justice and fair play. But that document as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-untruthfulƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ as it was, was good enough for the International Community led by USA,UK and France ,to use it as another ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-piece of evidenceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to accuse Sri Lanka for violation of human rights and war crime.
It is in this situation that latest information has come with regard to the USA,UK,France led war in Libya. Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya of the Voltaire Network reporting on 5 July,2011, says, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦..War crimes and crimes against humanity have been and continue to be committed in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya by NATO. Amongst these crimes, the Atlantic Alliance has been using depleted uranium against Libya, specifically civilians and civilian infrastructure.
Bombed sites in Libya have been visited by professional scientists working in the Surveying and Collecting Specimens and Laboratory Measuring Group. The scientists and trained experts have conducted field surveys looking for radioactive isotopes (radioisotopes) at bombed sites. The samples from these sites were then scientifically analyzed at the laboratories of the Nuclear Energy Institution of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

Hi Mr. Perera, you should add the venerable Mr. Gordon Weiss to the list of those who are hell-bent on ‘getting back’ at Sri Lanka. Mr. Weiss seems to be more concerned with the sales of his new ‘book’ these days – apparently, his friends, the terrorists, haven’t bought enough of his book! Mr. Weiss seems to be oblivious of the fact that all the ‘violations’ and ‘crimes’ that he is claiming in his book as committed by the Army, also makes him directly responsible, as the UN “spokesman” in Sri Lanka at that time, for not taking any action to prevent these apparent ‘crimes’.
The book is published, and Weiss has informed the whole world that he knowingly did not take any action at that time. Sri Lanka should ask the UN’s Pillay and Coomaraswamy about this.
Weiss is out of Sri Lanka now and looks like he is trying to get his fifteen minutes of ‘fame’ (and not to mention $$$$$$) with his beloved”book”.

Thursday the US ambassdor and French Ambassdor wet to a city in Sirya that was taken over by democrtic freedom terrorists. The town was surronded by Sriyan tanks and was a about to arrest the leaders. These two ambassdors preveted the arrest then took the terrorist leaders on the same helicopter out of Sriya to Turkey. It was all over the news channels in US.

Dear Charles and others – Thanks for your contribution once again to Lankaweb. Sorry to have to repeat this though – we have all had enough of the endless comments on the CH4 video. In regard to this video there are only TWO official avenues to silence CH4 for good and everyone should clearly understand that. (Remember the TRUTH on this is on our side). To silence CH4, SL should vigorously pursue both legal actions as below:
(a) Formal complaint to Ofcom the Regulator and (b) File action for Libel and compensation for the disprepute caused to SL against CH4 in a UK Court.
These are the ONLY two things that will force CH4 and many other critics into silence. Some are naturally concerned over the associated legal and other costs. This effort has to be led by the GoSL with support from many quarters. Firstly the costs will be nothing like what the cost was fighting the War itself or the consequences of trade sanctions and dealing with the International Criminal Court. So the GoSL should not fight shy of the costs. Secondly, it may be useful to note the incident with the Tamil guy who was reported in the papers here of surreptitiously having a ‘BigMac’ while fasting in support of the LTTE opposite the British Parliament. He denied that and was defended by a firm of ‘No Win No Fee’ Media Solicitors and won £100k compensation against the Police for the distress caused to him!! (That was because I believe, although the event was true, the papers were not prepared to reveal the name of the Police informer and not because the event did not happen). So, readers of Lankaweb, please think about action against CH4, much better than moaning but doing nothing – London

S de Silva, Did you read what former Chief Justice said that is published on Infolanka web site? (Sunday Leader) “Former Chief Justice S.N. De Silva says SL Government cannot file action against Briton’s CH4!” My question is: does S.N. de Silva have financial interests in CH4? As a lay law person, I can say SL government can file action in a British court and claim compensation for airing a program, knowingly that it contained disinformation, proved beyond doubt, which contained doctored meterial by TAMILS. Few days ago a TAMIL was arrested in Kandy with the original DVD that was used to produce this video clip.

Dear Kit Athul – thank you for your valuable comment, at lest one person has read what I had written!! Ex CJ like S N de Silva is best left alone. The action has to be in the UK by a firm of Media Lawyers also in the UK who will be expected to know the Law here. The GoSl should explore this possibility immediaterly via the UK High Commission and Sri Lanka’s PR firm Bell Pottinger also based in the UK. S de Silva absolutely the launching of a full scale legal action against Ch4 by the Sri Lankan govt is the way to go. The Brave Soldiers of the SL armed forces did their job. Now its time for clever smart Sri Lankan lawyers, who I am sure have residence overseas or even in Sri Lanka can go go over to Britain and bring the case to the high courts. They too can do their bit for Sri lanka like the Soldiers did. Go into bat for Sri lanka and win a few battles for Sri Lanka then they can begin to start combatting the negative propaganda emanating fron the press in the west.

It is not a bad idea to lodge a complaint against C4. But to what extent could we expect “fair” justice. They too help each other. See Liam Fox. Now he speaks differently supporting more or less the Milliband lot.

S de Silva, filing a case against CH4 in UK is like swmming against tsunami, but it can be done by a private Sinhala UK national who is also a millioner. S de Silva, you should know better than me since you live in London, there is no Sri Lanken high commissioner in UK. I live in US and I know it. This appointed man to the post is of high class and lived most of his life in UK. Do you think he will file a case against CH4? I don’t think so. Any way. What I understand is that there is protest by Sinhala in front of CH4 in UK on the 17th, don’t forget to go there.

Yes, Kit Athul, it is not simple but could be done and ONE way has been shown by the Tamil who ‘fasted’ opposite the parliament, on which I had written earlier. Any legal action has really to be led by the GoSL . You are right in that there is no HC here and only an acting HC – PM Hamza and he will only actively push the matter if instructed from the Sri Lankan Foreign Office. So I have already written to the President personally asking him to intervene and actively pursue the matter. This effort has to be led by the GoSL with support from many quarters. It must be appreciated that the costs will be nothing like what the cost was fighting the War itself or the consequences of trade sanctions and dealing with the International Criminal Court if we fail. The costs of such action MUST be considered as a package of action that goes with the ending of the War and not some separate item. If we fail on this legal battle with CH4 for the want of finance, the loss of the thousands of lives of the brave soldiers in successfully completing the war militarily would have simply been in vain – London
