I have been privy to the letter sent to you by Ira de Silva of London, Ontario, dated 24 July, where she quite rightly questions why Amnesty International (AI) is taking upon itself the task of promoting Channel 4ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s video Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Killing Fields, when there has been digital video experts and video forensic analysts reasoning that this video is a fraud, andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ military commanders in the battle field identifying stills from different locations having been married by the producers of the video to fit their horror storyline to tarnish Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s image internationally.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
And I personally believe that AI has now taken the lead in the sinister international campaign aiming at reversing Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s war victories and its reconciliation progress between the aggrieved communities through political and economic means. I also believe that AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s lead is to help a small section of the international media at the behest of certain vested interested groups of the Tamil Diaspora to push Sri Lanka back to a war by lacerating the wounded island that is attempting to heal after a 30 year long war. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And let us not kid ourselves, if the reconciliation process takes hold in Sri Lanka, there shuts the window of the lucrative business opportunism for the LTTE rump to hoard millions and millions of dollars a month, and for the international human rights groups like yours for their funding survival as there will be one less issue to cough and exaggerate about.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And that is the rub, isnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t it Alex?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This is no fairy tale.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Looking for the motives of AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s involvement in Sri Lanka, you will see what this Crystal Ball reader is seeing and saying.
If AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s mandate is to independently verify any allegation made against a sovereign nation before taking any action, AI has consistently and persistently failed to honour that commitment when it comes to Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ There is an obvious reason for this, isnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t Alex?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ You AI people have left me guessing and I have come to my own conclusions and it is not a pretty one.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is a sordid one.
Not a pretty one, I said, and here is one wee reason but yet a profound one.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I was an employee of the Sri Lanka High Commission in Ottawa in the early 90s.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The incumbent High Commissioner and I met with one of AIs senior officials to discuss AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s concerns about Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ One of the comments that this official made by passing was that they were not happy that Sri Lanka was using excessive force on the Tamil Tigers.
ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-What!ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ I asked him bemused.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Surely, Mister, you didnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t expect us to believe that these Tamil Tigers were a bunch of High School bullies fighting with sticks, catapults, and stones, did you?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ These Tamil Tigers are a convention army trained in Indira GandhiƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s India, using a sophisticated armoury to fight our soldiers.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ When one of the Tamil Tigers points the barrel of his Kalashnikov at the heart of one of our soldiers, surely you donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t expect our soldier to point the barrel of his gun at the knee cap of the Tamil Tiger, did you?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Come on Mister, stop being so stupid. This is a bloody full blown military war using sophisticated military weapons.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The first thing a soldier is trained to do is to kill his enemy before he gets killed by the enemy to fight another day.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ That is the reality of war gamesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, I retorted. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The conversation petered out when the High Commissioner started kicking my feet under the table, cueing me not to go after your man, as I would have loved to have done, with no holds-barred diplomacy. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ From that day on, I figured AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s motives against Sri Lanka and its love-ins with the LTTE pretty quickly.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is unsavoury. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is unpalatable. It is pretty poor.
HereƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s my problem with Amnesty International.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Once I have finished saluting Amnesty International as a squeaky clean human rights organization which won the Noble Peace Prize in 1977 and the United NationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Human Rights Prize in 1978 for its almost impartiality, unmotivated by the slightest shred of ideological prejudice, going about the world protesting against human rights abuses by officials of governments, wherever they may be found, there the niceties unfortunately ends, with my researching into AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s involvement in Sri Lanka.
Surely, you must recall as I have that Amnesty International, the organization that you work for, devoted a modest half page to Kampuchea in its annual report covering 1975, the year Phnom Penh fell to the Khymer Rouge.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I learnt that Amnesty InternationalƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Secretary General sent a cable ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-expressing concern for civilians detained in the areas of conflict,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ while noting prudently that allegations of mass executions were based on ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-flimsy evidence and second hand accounts.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This is when it was a known fact that nearly one-fifth of the population of Kampuchea was exterminated by the Khymer Rouge in the mid-1970s.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was also interesting to note that Amnesty International also sent a cable congratulating the new regime of Kampuchea on the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-large national union without distinction of class, religious belief or political tendencyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ it had just proclaimed.
By the following year, Amnesty International had to deal with a barrage of press reports of mass executions based on accounts of Kampuchean refugees arriving in Thailand.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And what did Amnesty International do?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It remained skeptical.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Many allegations it seemed to be based ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-on the belief, rather than evidence, that people who disappear from a village or other place of work have been taken away by the army to be executed.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ One would question why such a conclusion did not fit the scenario in Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Tamil Eelam feud, since most of Amnesty InternationalƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s allegations in Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Killing Fields are presented through concocted fraudulent video clips, dubbed voices and ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ with the proof of its authenticity still to be established. When Callum Macrae who directed the video ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ has admitted that Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Killing Fields is an edited collage of photographic stills, video clippings, old video footages and satellite imagery, why on earth is AI still going to town with this fraudulent piece of video tape and sponsoring its showings around the world.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sick, isnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t it Alex? Amazing!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ What is in it for AI, I keep asking, as at some point AI is going to fall flat on its face, and I am pretty sure of that.
My research on Amnesty InternationalƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”human rights love-hateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ relationship ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ with Sri Lanka has produced several intriguing vignettes which have formalized my doubts about AI which I suspected is into a lucrative human rights business dealings with the LTTE rump who are worth billions of dollars. I am told that very soon the Canadian Tamil Congress will be coordinating a walk-a-thon on September 18, 2011 to support Amnesty International starting from Thomson Memorial Park in Scarborough.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Alex, once AI accepts monies collected by a group that passionately defended the LTTE during panel discussions on TV in the early 2009, AI will be shooting itself in its foot.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Why should anyone, least myself, believe that AI is a squeaky clean independent human rights organization bicycling the Channel 4ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ video Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Killing Fields around the world trying to sell to the world that the Sri Lankan government and its soldiers were a bunch of nasties who killedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ thousands of Tamils during the last five months of the war and tag them as war criminals, while hiding the truth and fact that they rescued 300,000 TamilsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ from the clutches of the Tamil Tiger terrorists, who were herded like cattle for 30 long months from the west coast to the east coast by these retreating Tamil Tigers,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ who held them as a human shield. Why wouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t AI tell the world using a bull-horn that the Sinhalese people showed their ultimate respect for human rights of the Tamils by cooking a million meals a day to feed these rescued Tamils three meals a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner, and not let a single rescued Tamil starve to death?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ What is AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s difficulty to be honest about the Sinhalese, Alex? LetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s hear the truth.
What intrigues me is to know that the Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka (JDS) based in Berlin, Germany, had some involvement in getting this Channel 4 video aired to the public.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This is what I read in an information sheet ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-JDS: offence -handing over a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”fakeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ video to Channel 4, UK for them to aire it, by changing the original sound track which is spoken in Tamil language to Sinhala Language where it shows some men in Military fatigue shooting in the head of naked men blindfolded and hands bound in a field, thus framing the Sinhala Soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If you are unaware of this, then you should look into this.
A conspiracy with a vengeance I thought,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ as the same information sheet shows a photograph of a woman with a sub-text saying ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Barbara Elizabeth Lochbihler (German/born ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” 1959-05-20) General Secretary Amnesty International wife of Ranjith Henayake kicked out of Sri Lanka recently.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
Where does Amnesty International fit into all this intrigue?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Here is the story from the same information sheet, a subtext under a photo of Ranjith Henayaka says ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Inquiries into the AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s duplicity at the World Cup cricket encounter have revealed what patriots have always suspected.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is that Sinhala traitors have been working hand-in-glove with Tamil separatists to orchestrate the global anti-Sri Lanka campaigns.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Manipulating the AI to denigrate their Motherland in support of the LTTE is part of his strategy.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The very fact that Tigers have backed the AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s so-called play-by-the-rules protest at the Cricket World Cup tournament is clear proof of it.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

The question that I have for Amnesty International and you is, with all this egg-on-the-face Channel 4 media quackery over this Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Killing Fields, are you ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”squeaky cleanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ human rights policing lot still going to bicycle this fake video around the world and get rotten eggs splashed on your faces too at some point, or stamp on the doors of the AI Head Quarters in London and your Office in Ottawa with the words ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Channel 4 Sri Lanka Killing Fields video CHAPTER CLOSED, not interested anymore.

From a Impeccable source from British Intelligence told me that UK foreign office funded AI when the cold war is on, to go after Russian and create chaos there ..
After the cold war is over, they start a new racket with Imperial ambition and to interfere other countries affairs using HR as a excuse. Countries that are raising their heads after colonial plunder is still a target from this morons with fat wallets.

IS ALEX NEVE UNWITTINGLY PROMOTING THE LTTE MODEL FOR OTHER TERRORIST GROUPS TO COPY, IF THEY WANT TO ESCAPE FROM BEING CAPTURED?
LTTE backers having received a very good FREE education in Sri Lanka from the Kindergarten to University degree, are miles ahead of people like Alex Neve, Brad Adams and many bankrupt politicians and journalists in the West when it comes to intelligence and cunning.
At the interview of Palitha Kohona by AI, he was told by Alex Neve that the “international community” does not want the Sri Lankan military model to be followed by other nations in similar situations. Is not this a great message for terrorist all over, to know that they could escape the law by following the LTTE model? Simply take civilian hostages for use as a human shields and to battle in the frontline; have suicide bombers threatening to explode any moment; plant heavy guns amongst the civilians and hospitals and hey presto! the security forces would melt away.
I request Alex Neve to be more sensible and not allow himself to be used as a tool to push for non-existent war crimes against the SL security forces that defeated the LTTE terrorists and rescued over 300,000 hostages as well as salvege the human right of an entire nation to live in peace without fear of random bombings. Instead Alex Neve should challenge the Dharusman Report and CH-4 video for their obvious flaws and protect the human rights of the SL security forces.

Sri Lanka needs patriotic ones like Asoka who takes the immediate initiative to address the issues with any who try to harass Sri Lanka.Many Western countries and these rougues INGOS and NGOS are hell bent with the LTTE supporters trying to take MR and Officials before International Criminal Court for having Sri Lankans liberated from the clutches of the brutal Terrorists LTTE.We suffered immensely during the last 3 decades owing to LTTE brutalities for which no sympathy was shown to Sri lankan victims by the above traitors,instead openly and secretly helped LTTE with funds,training etc etc.Therefor all Sri Lankans must unite and help sri lankan Govt to get over this difficult situation in various forms.
But unfortunately, UNPers and JVPers do not act like Sri Lankans but as TERRORISTS.Its no secret that Govt has and commits many mistakes but the fact is MR GOVT IS THOUSANDS TIMES BETTER THAN ALL OTHER PREVIOUS GOVTs and no other party will ever doe what MR, Def Sec and the entire unit did.

The bank accounts of these people at “amnesty international” should be investigated. Either they are accepting terror money from Tamils or they are bearing great ill will against Sri Lanka who ignored their attempts to protect the terrorist leaders during the last phase of war. Their hell-bent attitude to promote this fake video all around is certainly very suspicious.
