Congressman Van Hollen,

As one of your constituents originally a Sri Lankan and now a voting American, I was offended by the support given by Congress for screening a disputed piece of video sponsored by Channel 4 –“Killing Fields in Sri Lanka” which was not prevented by any quarter of the congress.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Your constituents and Sri Lankans who are offended by this kind of misrepresentation to discredit a sovereign nation prevailed on Congressman James McGovern.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  His phone lines appeared to have been deliberately staffed by incompetent interns who gave us wrong contact information for him.

I would like you to read the article below that has been dismissed by the “so called UN Experts” because the writer is of Sri Lankan origin.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  However, he has technically sound knowledge and should not be dismissed based on his credentials.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Also he has nothing to gain as he is providing an objective analysis based on technical data.

I hope you will take the initiative to speak for those Sri Lankan Americans who vote for you.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  We are not powerful donors because we do not have access to extorted funds earned by the pro LTTE diaspora who have huge reserves built by extorting from other diaspora, human smuggling, drug smuggling and other crimes. Without being able to match the huge donations accompanied by falsified evidence, they seem to be heard over us.

Our voices are not heard within the walls of Congress because the truth does not have to be so fiercely defended with monetary baits.

We are law abiding citizens who pay our taxes and contribute our knowledge to the US economy.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  We have not bled the US system as refugees and asylum seekers living off the US Taxpayer.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  We need to be heard and our vote valued just as much as the pro LTTE Diaspora who support a terrorist outfit banned in the USA. It is an oxymoron that the FBI called the LTTE the most brutal terror outfit and yet supporters of it are heard in the US congress over the Sri Lankan authorities or those who oppose a pro terrorist group. The recent events in Norway are very real for Sri Lankans like us who were innocent victims of similar events when explosions, death and destruction were almost a weekly occurrence for close to 30 years.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  We didn’t receive the sympathy or the media coverage at that time.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  However it must be noted that Norway that appeared to be peace brokers, were actually supporting terror and they acted as peace breakers behind the scenes.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Players like Erik Solheim are detested in Sri Lanka just as some of the Norwegians against Terrorism (NAT) members have spoken.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  While we sympathize with the innocent Norwegians, we can only watch as we see the same terror they sponsored in Sri Lanka coming to roost at their door.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  They harbored many of the trained LTTE terrorists in Norway.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Norwegian people subsidize these people who are living on their tax payers.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Do you like to see that happen in the USA?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I guess not.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Then please take steps to stop condoning the actions of groups what are directly or indirectly associated with terror.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Terrorism has no skin color or religion attached to it.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Just a mindset that is driven by a personal agenda that is not that of the free world.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Please make this known to your colleagues.

They seem to get the upper hand through funding legislators who do not realize that they are violating the Patriot Act by accepting funds from an organization known to amass funds by illegal means giving legitimacy using individual faces that cannot account for such donations as earned and tax paid income. Above all, these are supporting pro terror ideologies.

The Congress that represents the USA fighting wars globally to install democracy in countries that lack freedom are subscribing to doubtful journalism to wreck one of the oldest democracies in Asia.

We ask that you take the leadership having known and lived in Sri Lanka to campaign for preserving the Peace that Sri Lanka earned after a hard fought battle with terrorism for 30 years.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Let Peace and reconciliation have a chance.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The congress is not helping to broker peace in nations, but instead break peace by allowing trashy journalism into the hallowed halls of Congress.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The recent exposure of such journalism in Britain should be an eye opener before political donations speak louder than the truth.
