Why The Self Appointed Pundits of Tamil Nadu And Their Meaningless Cacophony About Sri Lanka Sound Monotonous And Embarrassing to India!

The pundits of Tamil Nadu  led by their ignominious spokesperson Vaiko has once again started his endless cacophony about Sri Lanka which is becoming not only monotonous but    annoying to Sri Lanka presently making a whole hearted attempt to attend to all her citizens’ needs including the Tamils in post insurgency Sri Lanka where it is becoming plainly apparent that the man who never gives up his yelpings about the woes of Tamils only has one objective in mind namely the continued aggravation ( with the added baying of a few other hounds of Baskerville type repute from his own neighbourhood ) of a Sovereign Nation with cordial links to his own country India and fast gaining momentum in how many sensible nations in the world view Sri Lanka’s path to progress spearheaded by the Rajapaksha Administration as meritworthy and on track!

It really comes as no surprise that the likes of Vaiko and his cronies like Yaswant Singh, Ram Vilas Paswan and of course the ever verbose Jayalalitha who has ascended into a higher political acumen than previously where as chief minister she was vociferous and confused enough over Sri Lanka issues are now barking together as it seems to be in the wake of their friendly sympathiser in blinkers over the same issues who in her capacity as Secretary of State of the USA Hillary Clinton recentlyy yapped on about her solidarity with the ideologies of the Tamil Nadu leader, if viewed objectively seems hell bent inasmuch as Vaiko is towards pouring contentious disrepute in meaningless rhetoric towards the  Sri Lanka issue which she did not seem to have a clue about beyond hearsay and doctored graphic material yet boldly expressed herself throwing caution to the winds never once considering the wrongful implications of  a misleading perspective all this would create and how wrong she really was!

In what sounds somewhat like poor compensation for not being there for the Tamils when really needed  the  leaders of various political parties, including the BJP, have expressed ‘solidarity’ with Tamils in Sri Lanka, saying they will continue to raise their voice until everyone responsible for the “genocide” there are brought to justice. The genocide they are refering to surely reflects  the trail of carnage and desecration left behind in Sri Lanka by Tamil insurgents led by Velupillai Prabhakaran, so where were these sympathisers when the murderous despot with help from his pals in Tamil Nadu  was perpetrating the most heinous crimes imaginable in the name of Eelam~ the true crimes against humanity for almost three decades and what an affront it is to have the nerve to suddenly have pangs of conscience about a non existent situation where the Tamils in Sri Lanka as well as all their Sri Lankan counterparts comprising  all the other ethnicities are equally well looked after and no one except the  aforementioned ‘hounds’ from Tamil Nadu are the only ones complaining! Yelping to be precise!

For the sheer lack of things to occupy their time relative to whatever political responsibilities they need to carry out in their own local constituencies, a protest rally is said to have been organised by MDMK chief Vaiko to protest the Centre’s “silence” on the U.N. report where BJP’s Yashwant Sinha and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan  have criticised the Indian government for citing China’s growing influence as a reason for India’s engagement with Sri Lanka as their only means of interpretation about India’s stance on Sri Lanka which despite some semblances of truth do not have the full bearing of why India has always expressed solidarity with Sri Lanka far removed from the assinine cacophony of the likes of the dissentors in protest here!

Obviously the lack of insight and perception of Mr. Sinha is visibly transparent. Singh who was External Affairs Minister during the NDA regime and has taken the liberty to criticise Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his reported remarks that India cannot impose economic sanctions against Sri Lanka as it would encourage China to displace it as a strategic and trading partner of the island nation which despite its stark reality of unending ramifications is not the only reason India has chosen to stand by Sri Lanka which has been part of a long standing rapport between the two countries traditionaly with many ties and in all probabilities will continue to be the case despite attempts to disrupt it, Ad Infinitum.

There seems a great deal of frustration from this Tamil Nadu bandwagon which appears to be the main reason towards disrupting the smooth functioning of Sri Lanka which shows in statements  made such as “This shows mere helplessness that we have lost all out clout and friends and that we have to surrender ourselves to China. It is a matter of shame for our country and it is matter of greater shame for the government,” which sums up much of the dissentors mindsets hardly realizing that India is also a great ally and trading partner of China going back generations and to draw such impervious conclusions somewhat foolhardy and ignorant.

Dr. Singh, the BJP leader  has made certain remarks  he has no entitlement to in the course of meeting Mr. Vaiko, demanding economic sanctions against Sri Lanka and suggesting to Mr. Vaiko as reported, the merits of organising a rally in Tamil Nadu in which he would also participate and lots of luck to him where he should call a halt  then and there to any further ambitions of what he seems to have emphatically stated, about “setting sail for Sri Lanka to go there and tell the world that India is with the Tamils there! ” as though he represents the Indian Government and has Carte Blanche to do what he pleases in the same egocentric manner adopted by the rest of his bandwagon which could have them all arrested and put behind bars for sedition and incitement which is what their intentions are tantamount to! The next statement of his defies all logic and rationality that it comes from an educated person where in saying “We will mount an unarmed attack on Sri Lanka. We would like to tell the world that Indians are solidly behind the Eelam Tamils,” and has exposed his true colours as a Tamil Tiger sympathiser getting carried away as well as synonymously revealing where his sympathies are!

Towards his statement that  “We are not going to give up till all those people involved in genocide are brought to justice,” Mr. Sinha needs to be educated about the definition of the term Genocide  and laughed at  for his exuberant sympathies for a cause that was lost when the Government of Sri Lanka defeated the Tamil Tiger Terrorists and cautioned about the dangers of it being interpreted as an attempt to revive the globally abhorred and despised terrorist group that once wreaked havoc not only in Sri Lanka but surreptitiously in other parts of the world too by broadcasting their terrorist idealogies which were picked up to great effect by the likes of the Taliban, Al Quaeda, Abu Sayak etc.and a long list of terrorist groups around the world !  Raising their voices for the cause of Sri Lankan Tamils both inside and outside  the Indian Parliament seems a sham with no basis for justification and in the overall scheme of things detrimental to the good  image of India through the irresponsible actions and language of some of her own citizens, who these individuals are!

Vaiko,BJP, and others are interested in Sri Lanka Tamils more than their own people. Why? have they achieved
their aims promised to their own people? Black money of Indian politicians in Swiss Bank.
Poorness and cast system discriminations are behind Vaiko and BJP. LTTE misuse Tamils
to defend their Terror activities. Tamil nadu & Hindusim are shield of LTTE Terror & Finance activities in India.
We have to expose those cheaters to the world.

As one of Sri Lanka’s minister Mr. Rambukwella said we must always deal with Indian Central Govt. pertaining to Lankan issues. If we continue to depend & counter all wrath coming from Tamil Nadu..whats the point in having a Central Govt. in India.

One such incidents is when US Foreign Secatary visiting Tamil Nadu, before going to New Dlehi where she was first intended. Giving undue importance to ONE state of India, will create problems in the future. What if other states in Union of India decides to unilaterally speak for or against a Sovereign duly elected govt. This will create a dangerous prcedence.

As we in Sri Lanka has done in the past, it is always prudent to deal with Indian Central govt. We feel these narrow minded politicians from Tamil Nadu amke statements like REMOVING A COUNTRY from the World..or such unacceptable, undeplomatic language even if they are genuinely concerned about their brothers & sisters. We all know how little they care, from recent reports of BRIBERY & CORRUPTION prevelant in India.

Slowly but surely Sri Lankan people as well politicians learn fast & try emulate what is happening in India. We must resist such corrupt values, especially when they come from our neighbour & closest friend which is India.

Just a concerned citizen expressing his view….Gamunu Alahakkone., Canada

Thanks Mr Alahakone some appropriate observations Indeed.
Sri Lanka communicates with the Indian Central Government not with flybynight politicos such as Jayalalitha and Vaiko who seem to have picked up their political acumen from the old MGR movie sets of cheap sensationalism and cacaphonous sounds which might appeal to some at grass root level and have no command of the required decorum worthy of International Politics.

  4. Marco Says:

    Mr Alahakkone
You are right, all the periphery politicos from TN, Dr Mervyn Silva (Minister of Public Relations), Wimal Weerawansa can sing and dance till the cows come home.

What on earth are the External Affairs Ministry doing?

I beg to differ on the corruption values, i believe Sri Lankan politicians can teach the Indians a few tricks that would put to shame the Indians and the Nigerians.
