Dear Alex and John:

As a London Bobby would say, let me ask you holding my truncheon with both hands behind   my back, “ƒ”¹…”Allo”¦allo”¦.allo”¦what is dis den”¦ you people at Amnesty International are up to more mischief when it comes to Sri Lanka.  Can’t you leave this country alone?  I know you have put out a 69-page report slamming the work of the government’s Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) ahead of the meeting of the Human Rights Council meeting next week, which is expected to discuss Sri Lanka.  Remember, you refused to present yourself to this Commission when you were invited? I know you are trying to show that you are a smart lot but you know what? You certainly show your vindictive flaws, warts and all.  Don’t you mates?“

With that 69-page Report, AI, you certainly won’t hear the strains of the Sri Lankan voices which also includes the moderate Tamils, “Amnesty International are jolly good fellows’“¦but what you will hear will be the voices in chorus singing, “ƒ”¹…”Skinamarinky-dinky-ding-skinamarinky–doo-I hate you.  I hate-you in the morning, I hate you in the afternoon  I hate you in the evening -underneath-the-Jaffna-moon, Skinamarinky-dinky-ding-skinamarinky-doo-I hate you, I hate you AI boo-boopy-doo.”

I know “hate’ is a strong word, but you bet, that is exactly what emotions that your 69-page report have brought out of the 22 million people in Sri Lanka who wants to get on with their lives and who are on the path of peace and reconciliation after being haemorrhaged for 27-years by the Tamil Tiger terrorists armed with Kalashnikovs, RPGs, claymore mines, and suicide body jackets.

You know Alex and John, if I didn’t believe that this LLRC Commission was not important to find the truth for the reconciliation process between the two aggrieved communities in Sri Lanka after a vicious 27-year long Tamil Tiger terrorist war supported by the western countries including Canada that saw 100,000 people dead, I wouldn’t have spent $1,600.00 to buy a ticket to get on a plane last November to present myself to the Commission when invited.  I followed my heart, my conscience, over ponds, over the hills and valleys and over the desert sands to land at the palm fringed Katunayake Airport, so that the LLRC could hear my voice of concern. You know what Alex and John?  I didn’t care two dead capelin washed on the shores of Newfoundland for what you guys at AI said.  I just don’t care for many good reasons.

Here is my problem with you lot.  You at Amnesty International have the gall and temerity to say in your report about LLRC that:  “In reality it’s flawed at every level: in mandate, composition and practice.”  Wow!…wow!!  Just hold it right there Amnesty International.  You who  have accepted the Darusman (cut and paste Tamil News) Report by a “ƒ”¹…”composition‘ of a panel of three who were all known to be anti-Sri Lanka to come out with that ridiculous crap!  Come on; give me a break Amnesty International!  Come on, give me a break Alex and John and please don’t challenge my intelligence.

Here’s what the Darusman “ƒ”¹…”cut and paste Tamil News’ Report panelists were composed of in case you two missed it.  Follow my thread and you will find out how arrogant, bullying and wrong you people are.  Who the hell do you think you are!

This panel was headed by Marzuki Darusman, a former Attorney General of Indonesia who was also a member of the International Group of Eminent Persons (IIEGP).  This Group was invited in March 2008 to observe Sri Lanka’s Presidential Commission looking into alleged serious violations of Human Rights. I am afraid, Darusman left the IIEGP in a huff disagreeing with the Sri Lanka Government and yet signed the IIEGP Report without paying a single visit to Sri Lanka to ascertain himself the actual ground situation.  It is such a Report that you at Amnesty International want us to believe that there have been enough war killings in the last five months of the war that have value to investigate committed war crimes and not the past 312 months which saw 100,000 innocent Sri Lankans killed. Isn’t that something?  Isn’t that a bunch of boloney hung to dry in a Deli in Ottawa’s Byward Market, Alex and John?  Just give me a break!

Worse, the second panelist appointed by our UN’s notorious Ban ki-Moon was Steven Ratner, an adviser to a non-Governmental Organization, AI’s cousin, known as the Human Rights Watch (HRW) that has been very critical of Sri Lanka and not the Tamil Tiger terrorists from the very inception of the Tamil terrorist Eelam War.  Ratner had also co-authored a book with Jason Adams titled Accountability for Human Rights: Atrocities in International Law beyond the Nuremberg legacy.  On page 123 of this book he has stated that the “convention on banning apartheid should be invoked in relations to countries such as Sri Lanka.”  With this background Steven Ratner should have been dismissed instantly as a panelist to undertake this assignment.  It is such a Report that Amnesty International wants me to believe that it has credibility in “ƒ”¹…”composition’ of the panel to put this Report together.  Just give me a break, Alex and John.   It looks like you two are China Town medicine men trying to sell me a bottled Russell viper as a delicacy.  I won’t touch it my friends as I don’t trust you as two honest medicine-men.

And here’s the third panelist, and I hope you have not lost yourself in my thread. This panelist was the South African Yasmin Sooka who is a close associate of the South African Tamil, Navi Pillai, who is the patron of the Sooka Foundation, and also responsible for the failed resolution that was brought against Sri Lanka before UNHRC in May 2009. This clearly shows her bias and should not have been a panelist for the Darusman “ƒ”¹…”cut and paste Tamil News’ Report.  This Darusman Report is an embarrassment and a joke coming out of the UN Secretary-General Ban ki-Moon’s office.  And Amnesty International has the gall and temerity to lambast the LLRC Commission.  What a load of cods wallop.  So is this what Amnesty International is funded to do!  Come on Alex and John, give me a break and stop challenging my intelligence.  Aren’t you guys the Master’s Voice of the western anti-Sri Lanka countries who keep you alive with dollars and Euros and also of the  pro-Eelam Organizations of  Walk-a-Thon collections?

Let’s face it, Ban ki-Moon who appointed this anti-Sri Lanka troika panel has turned out to be a huge joke of the UN.  He has transgressed so much from his job-description and has operated as though the  insolent double-standard is a constant prayer dangling like a cigarette butt from his lower lip that he has no idea what reasons and when to complain about Sri Lanka.  This guy is suffering from mental constipation when it comes to dealing with Sri Lanka.

Today, Stephanie Nebehay reports for Reuters in an article “”…” Amnesty seeks international probe on Sri Lanka war crimes. In it she says, “Amnesty International’s own investigation suggests that at least 10,000 and quite likely around 20,000″”‚and there are credible allegations that it could have been as high as 40,000 people””‚were killed in those final phases when around 300,000 civilians were trapped between Tamil Tigers who were effectively using them as human shields”¦”

“ƒ”¹…”Credible allegations that it could have been as high as 40,000′, you said.  But this is what John Heilprin, the Associated Press Writer said in his write-up “ƒ”¹…”UN Chief visits Sri Lankan war refugees’, on May 23, 2009, four days after the war ended. “According to private UN documents, at least 7,000 civilians were killed in the final months of fighting in the war.”   Well, Alex and John: 40,000 “”…” 7,000 killed = 33,000.  Where the hell did you lot hide these 33,000 dead Tamil bodies?  You guys at Amnesty International are becoming master magicians in hiding dead bodies in your coat pockets, aren’t you?   “A-B-R-A-C-A-D-A-B-R-A” and showing your right hand to us and saying, “See there are 7,000  dead Tamil bodies in this hand, and watch this” so you put that hand into your coat pocket pull it out saying “Woosh”¦. and now you see 33,0000  dead Tamil bodies!”    Is that how you establish the credibility of the 40,000 Tamils killed during the last phase of the Eelam war? Alex, remember, I told you in an earlier letter that AI will be falling flat on its face soon.  This is the beginning, my friend.  You bet!  I have seldom being wrong.

You guys are selective in the choice of the last five months of a 312 month bloody, vicious war.  How come Alex and John?  The 100,000 who died during that period ambushed, shot, machete attacked, claymore mine bombings, suicide bombings, bayoneting infants, bashing heads of infants on rocks having plucked them from young Sinhalese mothers  arms by the Tamil Tiger terrorists are the same God’s children as those who died during the last five months of the war.  Why being selective Alex and John?  I want an answer.

But yet, when on February 3, 2009, the Sri Lankan armed forces discovered Nazi-like “ƒ”¹…”Visuamadu Auschwitz Torture Chambers’ run by the Tamil Tigers, you know what Alex and John?  The squeaky clean Amnesty International lay totally blind and silent about it. How come?  It is a good time to question your true motives?  Let’s spill it out.  What are your motives?

But here is my problem with your number of “credible allegations that it could have been high as 40,000 people”, you said.  And Stephanie also reports that you have come with this number after “Amnesty International’s own investigations”.  Wow! That is something!  Here’s what my investigation says which debunks the 40,000 Tamils killed in Toto.  Just follow my thread and tell me where I have gone wrong.  After all it is said you, AI, did your own investigation and you tell me that you are a smart bunch. Ha!  Let’s hear your smart voice!

I am making a simple assumption that you, Alex and John have passed your Grade 5 Arithmetic like me.  So we ought to know our additions and subtractions pretty well.  And this is how I found that 40,000 numbers of Tamils killed during the last phase of the war was false and a lie.  Prove me wrong. “Credible allegations“ my foot!

By January 2009 the UN as well as the Sri Lankan Government reported that there were 300,000 Tamils who were herded from the west coast to the east coast by the Tamil Tigers as a human shield.  I don’t have a clue as to how both, the UN and the Sri Lankan Government came up with these numbers.  Perhaps you know since you did your own investigation.

By May 19, 2009, when the Tamil Tigers butts were whipped and annihilated beside the Nandikadal lagoon in Mullaitivu, we were told that the Sri Lankan Government armed forces liberated 294,000 Tamils from the clutches of the Tamil Tigers.  Thus my Grade 5 arithmetic knowledge says that: 300,000 Tamils “”…” 294,000 Tamils = 6,000 Tamils who were not accounted for and not 40,000 as your “ƒ”¹…”credible allegations’ say.  Right?  Perhaps, this 6,000 died as collateral damage of the war as would the Americans explain in their wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and no one would question them. Correct?   This 6,000 number is a far cry from the 40,000 killed that Amnesty International says that it has “ƒ”¹…”credible allegations’.  What “ƒ”¹…”credible allegations’, Alex and John?  Spill it out.  I want to know.  We all want to know.  Are the names of the people who made these allegations locked up for the next 20 years as you might claim them to be confidential?    That is a cop-out isn’t it? If that is indeed the case, how the hell are you going prove these allegations in a War Crimes Court?   I say it is all a bloody lie.  Dream on Amnesty International!  Stop being sucked into being a moronic good-for-nothing  liar!

If Gordon Weiss, the former UN representative in Sri Lanka is the author of the number 40,000 killed during the last five months, did AI ask him how he managed to get that figure?  And you all have told quite simply that “”…””and there are credible allegations that it could have been as high as 40,000 people”¦”  Perhaps, it would be interesting to know how you established the “ƒ”¹…”credibility’ of this number.  Let’s hear it.

As for Gordon Weiss, this post-Eelam War spins have turned out to be a gold mine for this chap.  Perhaps he could tell us what his fee was to come over to Toronto to be a panelist at the forum by Sri Lankans Without Borders, which also gives him a good opportunity to sell his book “The Cage”, as there is a very definite buying market of at least 100,000 Tamil wallets.  Not bad, isn’t it?  It is any author’s dream! Ask Margaret Atwood”¦Ask Michael Ondaatje and they will tell  you so. This guy is an opportunist, par excellance.  Who could blame him!

This is where my Grade 5 Arithmetic comes into play which debunks your “credible allegations”.

Perhaps, you may wish to defend your statement.  If indeed 40,000 Tamils were killed out of 300,000 Tamils which made up Prabhakaran’s human shield, then 300,000 “”…” 40,000 = 260,000 Tamils that may have been rescued  and liberated by May 19, 2009 by Sri Lankan soldiers.  But the Sri Lankan Government claims with authority and swears that they saved 294,000 Tamils.  But let me assure you, Alex and John, that I can bet my last dollar, that every one of the Sri Lankan officials who gave us that number of 294,000 Tamils that were rescued knows how to count as they have all passed their Grade 5 Arithmetic at Primary School in Sri Lanka and 92% of Sri Lanka’s population are literate.  So give me an explanation Alex and John.  What happened to your other “ƒ”¹…”credible’ 34,000 Tamils?  Defend your “credible allegations”.  I believe it is nothing but a “ƒ”¹…”cock-and-bull’ story by who ever gave that number.  Was it Gordon Weiss?  I am prepared to challenge him.  The numbers just don’t add up.

And here’s what bothers me with that 40,000 killings during the last five months.  If you two have done your research well, the Tamil Tigers were retreating taking with them the 300,000 Tamils as a human shield.   Right?  The land was getting sparse and during the final days it was just a sliver of land by the Nandikadal lagoon.  By March 13, 2009, almost two months before the Tamil Tiger terrorists were wiped out militarily, they were gasping for breath in just 20 sq. km of land.  Not much land to dig holes to bury 40,000 Tamils whom you tell were killed during the last five months of the war.

If indeed, as  you suggest that the Sri Lanka Government armed forces killed 40,000 Tamils the dead bodies had to be got rid of, either by burying, burning or dumping them into the deep sea.

Let me consider the first possibility of burying the 40,000 bodies, which had to be done quickly, lest they decompose and stink to high heaven.  And we did not hear of such complains by the rest of the Tamils who were running away from the Tamil Tigers in search of the waiting arms of the Sri Lankan soldiers who were rescuing them in the thousands each day, did we?    Let us assume that the average body of a Tamil is 68 inches tall, and the widest width at the shoulders is 20 inches.  If the soldiers had to dig a 30 inch trench to bury the 40,000 Tamils shoulder to shoulder then my Grade 5 Arithmetic says that 40,000 x 20 inches = 800,000 inches.   And if 1 mile = 63,360 inches, then they would have needed a trench which should have been 12.6 miles long and at least 30 inches deep.  I don’t believe the soldiers would have employed the  human shield Tamils to do the digging with mammottees, as according to you all, these Tamils had to be killed to make the 40,000 number.

As logistically to bury 40,000 bodies shoulder to shoulder is asinine, let us assume that the Government soldiers had to double up the bodies by dumping one on top of the other.  Then they would have needed at least six miles of trenching which would have been at least 40 inches deep to bury 40,000 bodies.  And this had to be done quickly as the bodies would have decomposed rapidly in the tropical sun-heat. Right?  Not having six miles of land for trenching for such a burial, they would have to dig a pit at least 10 feet deep to dump six dead bodies.  You can now figure out with your Grade 5 Arithmetic the logistics of digging holes to bury a pyramid of 40,000 dead Tamil bodies.   And if the soldiers were trucking them away, then where are the mass burial graves? Mammottees and pick-axes wouldn’t do this quick job of digging.  That is commonsense. Back-hoes, probably, yes.  No one pointed out that there were an army of back-hoes working like bees 24-hours a day digging ditches to bury this pyramid of 40,000 bodies elsewhere.   All this points my finger to you all saying “”…” you bloody liars and Pox on you Amnesty International trying to hurt my Sri Lanka.

Let us try option two of getting rid of the 40,000 dead bodies by burning in the open.  If this was done then the black plumes of stinky smoke would have mushroomed the sky, and Amnesty International cameras would have clicked repeatedly to show the world of the suspicious black mushroom of smoke over Wanni.  And that didn’t happen, did it now, Alex and John?  All this points my finger to you saying “”…” you liars and Pox on you Amnesty International for wanting to hurt my Sri Lanka unfairly.

And now let’s try option three to get rid of the 40,000 dead Tamil bodies.  If dumping at deep sea was an option and the Sri Lankan navy did it, then you bet, the dead bodies would have washed onto the shores of Tamil Nadu’s  Karikal, Mayuram, Pondicherry, Chennai and Nellore like monster capelin.   And Tamil Nadu’s  Jayalalitha and Vaiko would have strung these bodies into chains and dragged them to New Delhi and dumped  them in front of Manmohan Singh’s doors and demanded that he send troops to North Sri Lanka to annex that part of the island to Tamil Nadu.  And that didn’t happen did it now?  So, Alex and John, where the heck do you think the Sri Lankan army hid the 40,000 dead Tamil bodies. Most certainly not in their bunkers or in their home closets.  That is a mystery that Amnesty International has to explain, as after all you said  that you have “ƒ”¹…”credible allegations’ of this 40,000 killings.

You know what Alex and John?  All these lies are a part of the survival game of Amnesty International.  Keep Sri Lanka afloat in your files, and don’t let Sri Lanka settle into a prosperous peaceful country with  the success of  a reconciliation of the two aggrieved communities pinned onto their lapels with pride, and you all will have one less item to use to solicit funds, and there goes the Amnesty International operating budget and with it goes sirloin steaks on the Amnesty International Directors dinner plates  and replaced by hamburgers.  That is the real story, isn’t Alex and John?   And I say, Pox on Amnesty International for wanting to harm my Sri Lanka, unfairly.

And I say, Three Cheers to President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Sri Lanka for having won a war against terrorism without the backing of the world powers, by defeating the most efficient terrorists’ outfit in the world and brought peace to that land.  And most importantly giving back to its 22 million people the most treasured human-right in any civilized society, their right-to-life, which had been hijacked by the Tamil Tiger terrorists for 30 long years.  I know you at Amnesty International have difficulty to buy it and swallow it.  Tough tiddy, I say.

Alex and John, your Amnesty International better learn to live with this reality, and there are other lands which are troubled around the world that you all could adopt to be a source for your funding income and survival, and to enjoy a good sirloin steak for your dinners and not hamburgers.

Sincerely,

Asoka Weerasinghe

  1. A. Sooriarachi Says:

Eight years after the killing of Saddam Hussein, the Iraquis are in a worst situation with half the population unemployed, several millions still displaced and women ending up in brothels to avoid starvation.
Also, according to a US congressman who visited Lybia, he had the misfortune to witness mass scale beheading of Gaddafi loyalist in Lybian villages by the French and Danish troops sent in to help the “rebels” (or rather NATO proxy force).
Why is AI, HRW, ICJ as well as UN human rights bodies ignoring the human rights of the Lybians and Iraquis and instead trying to divert the attention of the international community by targeting countries like SriLanka, which faught the terrorists with a “Zero Civilian Casualty” policy (though unfortunately some civilian hostages got killed) to eliminate the Tiger terrorists and rescue over 300000 civilians hostages trapped by the Tigers? Has this got to do with the immense wealth the Tigers have for rewarding stoogers?

  2. PRIYAN WIJEYERATNE Says:

The biggest mystery of the history of mankind is why these western goons are backing LTTE rump.
Can someone please tell us why?

  3. Manjula Says:

    Dear Asoka,

There is no point in wasting your valuable time in preching this Alex and the dumb likes in Amnesty International.

They are more interested in the headlines rather than the boring truth. Otherwise who is going to sponsor the very survival of those unemployable dumbs who survive on donations rather than producing anything useful for the mankind? When someone is dumb and unemployable, the best thing is to set up an NGO like Amnesty International and survive using it’s funds donated by gullibles.

Amnesty International never protested Tamil Tiger terrorists when they were on a killing spree, they never called for UN or international help to stop blood bath by tamil tigers for 30 years. Useless basterds who survive on blood stained money paid to them by Tamil Tigers.

    Good article though.

  4. Lorenzo Says:

    Priyan,

What are western interests in SL and south India?

    1. Do something and keep the ability to CHOKE Chinese, etc. ships passing through the region. That way west can put INDIRECT embargos on these countries. Through the UN they can NEVER put embargos on these countries.

    2. Create violene and destabilize the region including India which is developing while the west is deep in debt. Development means less cheap labour, less ability to rob their resources.

    3. Have some asslicking countries like East Timor, Bosnia, Eritrea, etc. They will do anything for the west. They can add the numbers at the UN to ANYHTHING US brings.

    4. Use these asslicking countries to hammer other countries without directly getting involved.

    5. Park, birth, land Marine troops, warships, aricraft carriers in far away regions that may not otherwise invite the west in a regional war situation.

    6. Use proven asslickers. As someone mentioned why did white masters take certain Africans and Tamils around the world as slaves? Why not the others? Because they were very good slaves.

Can you imagine how these can be done without LTTE or Tamil Elam?

    I can’t.

That is why the west supports ANY Tamil nationalist movement.

Similarly middle eastern countries support ANY Islamic terrroist movement for their needs.

  5. sanath sirisena Says:

My hats off to you Asoka for educating these unemployed dumbS who survive on donations as our friend Manjula says very correctly. The money talks. These are all UN suckers who plays the mucsic TO THE TUNE OF the UN, the organization famous for ruinning the peace of the entire world. There is no two words about it. The UN and all these suckers are a shame to the whole world.

THE CREDIBLE ALLEGATIONS AND THE MATHEMATICS OF THESE SUCKERS are A JOKE INDEED. THE TIME HAS COME TO TEACH MATHEMATICS TO THESE DUMBS AND THE UN.

What ever said and done, finally,The, TRUTH WILL PREVAIL and I have no doubt about it.

  6. Ben_silva Says:

    To answer Priyan.
Most probably LTTE agents have infiltrated these orgs, perhaps as researchers and then poring in a lot of money through other contacts. Money talks

  7. Susantha Wijesinghe Says:

These two ” OUR SOULS ” Alex Naive, and John Dont Argue, are street Bums, who have crept into AI for a living. They cannot, through their dim wit brains figure out the logistics of burial, of 40,000 dead bodies. No, they sure know that they are saying something which is illogical. They know that it is fallacy. So why are they persistently harping on it ? They are getting a free flow of Dollars from the LTTE TREASURY. It is Barber Salon Business for them. The frequency of their repeating ludicrous lies, is the same rate at which they are paid for, by the Tamil Tiger Terrorist Treasury.

The Tamil Tiger Terrorists have Billions of Dollars for disposal as bribes, to the highest ranking Officials anywhere in the World. The International Tamil Tiger Terrorists, Treasury Officials are, to my knowledge, Nediyavan, Rudrakumaran, and Adele. That is one reason why Nediyawan has threatened to kill the self appointed Prime Minister Rudrakumaran, residing in USA, to get all the loot for himself.

AI, HRW, and ICJ personnel are in the payroll of the Tamil Blood-Sucking Tiger Terrorists Diaspora.

This is the reason why these ” OUR SOULS ” are singing for their supper.

THE ONLY COUNTRY THEY KNOW OF, IN THE WORLD IS SRI LANKA. THEY DONT SEE ANY OTHER COUNTRY. MONEY BLIND.
