ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The staff of the Sri Lanka High Commission and the Consul GeneralƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Office in Toronto, join me in extending Deepavali greetings to all Sri Lankan Tamil Hindus living in Canada.
I am happy to announce that we are, for the second time, organising an event on Sunday, 6
th November 2011 to celebrate Deepavali and wish to extend an invitation to you and your family & friends to join us in celebrating this important festival.
The Minister of National Languages & Social Integration of Sri Lanka, Hon. Vasudeva Nanayakkara will be the Chief Guest at this yearƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s celebration.
The celebration would include a cultural performance which will be in keeping with the traditions of the Hindu religion and the Tamil culture.
The occasion would give us an opportunity to meet, greet, exchange views and ideas, and forge friendships and to have a meal together.
