It is too easy an exercise for the 11-member Eminent Persons Group to tell the 54ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Commonwealth nations,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that unless human rights are respected that the Commonwealth of Nations will face demise.

What should be more relevant is to tell these nationsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that they will be penalized if they help a non-democratically elected group to try and destroyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a sister Commonwealth nationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by destabilizing thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ democracyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ with war.

The case in point is Sri Lanka, which is now being accused of alleged human rights violations for the very reason of getting rid of the most ruthlessƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ terrorist group in the world on 19 May 2009, the Tamil Tigers,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ after haemorrhaging that island nation for 27 bloody years where they saw the ‘right-to-life’ of its 22 million people being hijackedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ withƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 388 suicide bombings andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ detonating claymore mines at street corners during rush hours and inside puiblic transport vehicles.

The two guilty sister CommonwealthƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ nations for this heinous episode are India, who trained the Tamil Tigers in late 1983 and all of 1984, in camps in India and graduatedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ these Tamil guerrillas as full fleged terrorists and sent them back to fight and kill.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The second nation is Canada who let the Tamil Diaspora collect 2-million dollars a month for 13-Liberal governing years to stuff the Tamil Tiger war-chest to buyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a sophisticated warƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ armoury to prolong this war violating human rights, like recruiting over 5000ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil child soldiers under 14 years of age to fight along the front-lines.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Both these guilty Commonwealth sister nations acted forƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ selfish reasons of domestic politics.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ India to gain Tamil votes in Tamil NaduƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for the Congress (I) Party, and in Canada ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the Liberals to garnish 100,000 Tamil votes in the Greater Torono Area where these TamilsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ congregated in nine-ridings.

Unless such acts are addresed with penalties, this whole exercise is not worth the 200-page reportƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ written by the 11-memberƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Eminent persons.

I do agree with Asoka Weerasinghe, WHO are these emminent persons anyway..??.. If they overlooked 27 years of war mongering tigers & their cultural, friendly, so called front associations just to fool other countries were NEVER investigated, BUT when a Sovereign nation conducts a humanitarian project to FREE their own tamils, Govt is accused and intimidated.
Now India tries to be a friend of Sri Lanka just beacuse Chinese influence is a problem for them. They will be consulted ONLY if we feel like. We can always depend on China to back Sri lanka in international forums.
WHY were they “the so called Emminet persons” investigate or even commented about abuses of LTTE. Thanks for Dutch Govt. five Tamils who are LTTE fund raisers who intimidated other TAMIL citizens who are also Dutch are sentenced to jail terms.
Why did India or Canada were silent when a group branded as a TERORIST ORGANIZATION, yet allowed them to operate in their respective countries.. We should seek compensation from Tamils who are abroad to pay for the damages, to human life, property and mental anguish born by both innocent Tamils & Sinhalese.

The so called emminent persons I feel are SELF PROFESSED EMMINENT PERSONBS WHO ARE BEING BRIBED BY THE FAMOUS LTTE SUPPORTING DIASPORA-PARIAHS!!!
Yes Sir, for 27 yrs innocent Sinhales Sri Lankans suffered enough brutalities from these ILLETERATE TAMIL TERRORISTS, who were originally trained in Indian Training Camps under the pretext of refugees and later sent back to Sri Lanka with the sinister intention to distabilize Sri Lanka Govt.
But the LAW OF KARMA CAN NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.RAJIV GANDHI, THE BIGGEST TRAITOR OF SRI LANKA WHO DUMPED PARIPPU WHEN SRI LANKAN FORCES WERE ABOUT TO DEFEAT LTTE AT WADAMAARACHCHI WAR,WAS KILLED BY HIS OWN CREATIONS-LTTE SUICIDE WOMAN BOMBER.
While these bandits were all silent during the 27 yrs of LTTE brutalities on innocent civilians are trying to pinch Sri Lankan Govt by awkward methods will never succeed as MANY SRI LANKSN SINHALESE ARE BUDDHISTS,A RELIGION THAT TEACHES PATIENCE, TOLLERANCE, LOVE TOWARDS OTHERS, COMPASSION, CAN NEVER BE DESTROYED BY ILLEGIMATE MEANS!!!

I agree with that Eminent persons have no right to interfere our matters. However, we in Sri Lanka facing a terrible situation where two eminent persons within ruling party used illegal arms to kill each other on the day of a democratic elections, The government so far failed to do an impartial investigation and the family of Paratha is now going to take this matter internationally. If we fail to allow the rule of law to do its job then don’t we fall into the traps of Eminent Persons?
