ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Is there someƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ wretched decision making at the highest level in Sri Lanka Cricket that has contributed to the present woes of the Lankans in Dubai, or is it the long layoff where the players have basked in the glory of past successes and the sun of courseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and taken it too easy but whatever it is, it is certainly showing in Dubai whereƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ they are being stomped on by Pakistan.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And if the Sri Lankans do not watch out they could slip further down the TestƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ rankings to No.5- below the Pakistanis ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and surely raise a few eyebrows around the cricketing world.
This current test which seems all but a misery for Sri Lanka having been put in by Pakistan and crumbling for a paltry 197 has made such a hash of the game so far that they have not only fielded miserably, grassing a few vital chances but also permitted a hitherto inknown to get a double ton which might have been unthinkable in the days of Murali and Vaas.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
And what of the famous duo of Sanga and Mahela? They seem to be napping while the Pakistanis are making merry on a strip perfect for batting and Dishan’s captaincy leaves little to the imagination that he isn’t the right man for the job, often looking flustered, failing in his batting,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ making field setting look quite amateurish and overbowling himself and poor Herath who is bound to have very stiff shoulderdƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to add to his woes, so what seems to be wrong with the Lankans one might ask?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Where are players of the calibre of Tharanga, Randive, Samaraweera, Silva and Chandimal not to mention Maharoof, FernandoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and Kulasekera whose presence in the team may not have necessarily permitted the Carte Blanche Pakistan has had, to walk all over the once belligerent Lions who seen to have been tamed by the nonchalant Pakistanis and run out of steam.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Perhaps it’s time to take stock of the situation, forget about this incessant need to look for young blood in capping new players and stick with the old guard toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ steady the ship and steer a safe course!
This game howeverƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ isn’t over yet although it seems to be heading towards an ignominious defeat for Sri Lanka and if this is the case some serious thinking needs to be done to avoid further embarrasment as the tour continues!
The New Coach Geoff Marsh will then in all probabilitiesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ prove to be an unnecessary as well as exorbitant investment, a wrong choice over Tom Moody who also ran for the jobƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and the selection committe perhaps needing a re-shuffle where the old bozos seem to be taking a nap~ perhaps even a regularly unhealthyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  sip of the good stuffƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ while the boys are floundering by virtue of their pathetic selection choices!!

    Sunil,
Appointment Muppet Attapattu as batting coach is the biggest problem. This muppet not only makes sure our batting is bad he alos try and comment on our bowlers and influence other players and selection commitee.
