ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Dear Sir:
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
It is not what Mr. Harper said after he left the Commonwealth Conference but what he said before he went and the communique that was issued at the meeting that should be highlighted and the question asked whether Canada will abide by it’s commitments.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Before he left he singled out Sri Lanka for criticism probably to satisfy hisƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ethnic Tamil voters in the Toronto area whom he is eager to cultivate and draw away from the other political parties. Media reports indicated that prior to his statement on Sri LankaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ he had conversations with his candidates who are well known supporters of the Tamil Tigers so his statements regarding Sri Lanka reflect their anti-Sri Lanka input and support the view that itƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ was domestic Canadian politicsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that wasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ driving his agenda on Sri Lanka.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Mr. Harper wants accountability from Sri Lanka. The concept of accountability also applies to Canada. It is an established fact that Canadian citizens fundedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil terrorism for decades from CanadaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and CanadianƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ politicians supported their efforts even attendingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ events to raise funds. Canadian security authorities established that the cheque for the bombing of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka was sent from Canada. When isƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Canada going to be accountable for these acts supportingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ terrorism which killed thousands and destroyed the economy?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The communiquƒÆ’†’ƒ”š‚© that was issued from the meeting indicates thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the leadersƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  reiterated commitment for prevention of the use of their territories for the support, incitement to violence or commission of terrorist acts, action to stop terrorist financing and action against terrorist front organizations.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Ironically, while this statement was being issued in Perth the supporters of the Tamil Tigers wereƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ demonstrating ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in Toronto, their rally complete with Tamil Tiger flags and pictures of their terrorist leader. It was even addressed by a member of parliament from Scarborough. How does Mr. Harper reconcile these actions in Canada at the same timeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ he is committing CanadaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to taking action against terrorist front organizations?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
His “stand” on Sri Lanka was to appease his Tamil vote base.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  He did not succeed against Sri Lanka in Perth because the majority of the other countries were well aware of the terrorism of the Tamil Tigers as well as support for the Tigers in Canada, Britain, Australia and New Zealand.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Perhaps his Tamil vote base will be satisfiedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ with his performance.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is to be seen what he will do in Canada regarding the use of CanadaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for terrorist financing and taking action against the front organizations of the Tamil Tigers who showed last weekend that they are alive and well.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Whether he goes to Sri Lanka for the meeting in 2013 or not, CanadaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ will be held accountable for whether or not it is stopping terrorist financing and taking action against terrorist front organizationsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ operating openly in Canada particularly when it is claimed that Mr. Harper is encouraging other Commonwealth leaders to focus on democracy and human rights.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If Canada is to set an example, then it can notƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ condone the activities of the Tamil terrorist supporters in Canada which is a violationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of democracy andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ human rights of all Sri Lankans.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Yours truly,
Ira de Silva

I am sending youƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ pictures showing the Tamil demonstration last weekend which was taking place at the same time that Mr. Harper and Mr. John Baird were re-committing Canada to stop terrorist front organizations operating in Canada.

Harper is seriousely misled! He is trying hard to win areas where Tel number starting with 416. He also thinks that Tamil Tigers control Tamil votes.. That’s a mistake.. Perhaps, less than 5% of Tamil votes are controlled by LTTE in Canada after the war is ended. They now struggle to find even 500 people for any LTTE event.

Majority of Torontonians vote for Liberals, and NDP, because they think that those two parties represent the ‘working class’ or the ‘low-income class’.

Until Conservatives reach this class and make them relevant to them, they can not win the 416 area code.

The people in the 416 area code think that Conservatives represent the ‘rich’, ‘upper-class’, ‘white collars’, and the ‘Corporates’. They want people who are sympathetic and address their class in the parliament.

Harper, start fighting for these class needs, and you will win these 416 areas. How much you licked the back sides of LTTE tigers, you will not win these 416 areas. LTTE only control 5% of votes (about 5000 votes in whole Canada). So, it is NOT WORTH it!

When I saw this picture I could not stop laughing. It reminds me of neo-Nazi politicians, with “Hitler cutouts”, occasionally seen in Europe. Does this stooge Karygiannis knows of heinous crimes committed by Prabakaran and LTTE? Or is he just playing dumb? Have they forgotten that ” Glorious Leader” was fished out of lagoon? Canada is the safest haven to terrorists in the world. They will rue this adventure in time to come.
