Howzat?? By Doosra Sammy

While this may be interpreted by some, particularly Pakistani supporters that it portrays sour grapes perhaps Sri Lanka may not have been obligated to be condescending and conciliatory towards helping Pakistan regain lost composure on the World Cricket Arena as they have been virtually ostracised by many other nations although the ICC thinks fit towards their continued tolerance. Sri Lanka consequently has paid a price which they need not have.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Taking into consideration that a squad of Sri Lankans with the cream of the nation’s cricketers once almost faced certain death at the hands of terrorists within Pakistan and survived purely due to providence touring

a nation in turmoil and unrest where political leaders are assasinated ruthlessly, some nations even opting not to play them, where there have been unrelenting cheats and crooks within the rank and file of the highest level of cricket who have been indicted and incarcerated legitimately what business do they have playing the Gentlemen’s game in the first place one might ask?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It seems ludicrous that a nation with such a blemished record which makes it dubious and disentitled to the recognition the game of cricket provides should be tolerated and granted carte blance to call themselves cricketers regardless of how good their players are as they need to be isolated together with the rest of their country until they get their act together.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Was not South Africa given this treatment on the basis of Apartheid which was contentious to the entire world? So what entitles Pakistan a nation which harbours and hides deadly criminals, breaks many rules of international prerequisites towards being a respectable and completely legitimate country and acts like a nation of primitive disoriented people towards recognition? And why was Sri lanka obligated to accept playing in a region that is not Pakistani territory in the first place where orientations were harsh and conditions perhaps even conducive towards the Pakistani gane although one hates to think beyond the metaphor for obvious reasons?

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Some cardinal errors regarding protocols which definitely aren’t cricket seem to have come into play where the Sri Lankans have ended up getting choked up in a quagmire of uneventful, needless misfortunes where they have been set adrift in an environment purely to appease the ICC who might have thought better, discarded and disentitled the Pakistanis from playing international cricket until their own backyard was cleared of the impediments contributing to it and in doing so prevented the Sri Lankans from being pawns in a losing game of chess!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Yes Sri Lanka was beaten fair and square in the tests, ODI’s and the T20 currently being played seemingly headed Pakistan’s way all very academic but what if the principles of legitimacy that might have isolated Pakistan for very valid reasons that do not have any entitlement to a double standard for cricket, one for the hierarchy and another for their cricketers, had prevailed as a rational argument?

Here’s what!

It might at least have given Sri Lanka the opportunity to hang onto their ratings in Tests, ODI and T20s, brush up their playing skills towards more forceful results in their favour, clean up the stink that is the present Cricket Administration and its dubious team of grotty operators who tend more often to screw up rather than acheive any measure of success lately and only search for opportunities to play decent cricket with countries which are not smeared with questionable and at times incomprensible doubt about whether they belong in the same league and the same level as decent cricket playing nations!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ That is if the ICC agrees to it of course and much food for thought and said with all due respect to the Pakistani cricketers who are after all a decent bunch of guys where related issues are far beyond their control!

Hey Doosra Sammy learn to accept the defeats Pakistan’s cricketers inflicted on Sri Lanka with good grace. Pakistan well and truly thumped the Sri Lankans in the Deserts of Arabia fair and square by Pakistan’s excellent cricketers. Who outplayed the Sri Lankans in every department of the game. I really enjoyed Pakistan’s brand of Cricket. Only Kumar Sangakkara stood up to be counted on the middle eastern tour for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka should learn that the glory days of the 1990s and this decade are over and they need to rebuild their national cricket for the future. Thats what Pakistan have done after many years in the doldrums now they have I think very good team they play especially well in the desert heat of the middle east. I would like to see less sour grapes and more improved Cricket from the Sri Lankans and play the brand of cricket that made them once one day champions and 2nd and 3rd placed test nation. Sri Lanka at the moment is sliding down the Cricket table and could become co tenants with the West Indies at the bottom of the table. Time for Sri Lanka to look to the future. Kumar Sangakkara, Lasith Malinga and Mahela Jayawardene won’t be in the SL team forever.

Rohana8 with all his “conventional” or is it controversial wisdom probably needs to find a viable solution to the Sri Lankan cricket team’s woes if he has one acceptable enough and also give an answer to the real issue about whether Pakistan deserves to be on the same plane as other decent cricket playing nations. Is he aware that in addition to the culpabilities cited in this item, Pakistan has also provided the base for the shameful Mumbai attacks beyond reasonable doubt? So is this a nation that belongs in a recognized framework of the gentleman[‘s game ? Adulating Pakistan based on the defeats inflicted on Sri Lanka is unrelated to the legitimacies of whether they should have been granted carte blanche to play international cricket in the first place and the chinks in their armour far too visible for this privilege it seems. Incidentally the article indisputably complimented the players exonerating them from the liabilities that were directed at Pakistan cricket per se so what is Rohana8 yelping about?

Shut up Sunil Mahattaya. I didn’t ask your bloody opinion! Mark my words Sri Lanka gonna lose big time. Then what punk? Pakistan thumped the living daylights on the cricket field and you are bringing up un related bullshit.
Hey Sunil Mahattaya do me a favour. Get LOST! Your an absolute disgrace!
