Canada should be humble for the sake of the First Nation Reserves

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Canada better get her act together and stop being so down right smug when telling the developing countries how to run their business.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ With Attawapiskat First Nation’s living conditions being such a national disaster, we better turn to Sri Lanka and ask them how thay managed to rehabilitate and resettle 294,000 Tamil refugees in the north in their own homes within two years after a 27 year long war with the Tamil Tiger terrorists ended in May 2009, as this is an amazing story that the whole world should take note of.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The other 6,000 refugees will be resettled no sooner the terraine where their homes stand is demined which they hope to do it soon.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Let’s stop being so arrogant with an attitude of saying “We are holier than Thou”, and let us be humble and learn what has been already proven in developing countries, like Sri Lanka, for the sake of the First Nation reserves. The occupants in these reserves need a break from the squalor that they live in. Ask Sri Lanka and they will help us.

A sad fact of life that the basic needs of indigenous people of countries such as Australia, the USA and now Canada are never prioritised and sidelined despite the high faluting rhetoric emanating in the respective parliaments on this issue. Sri Lanka can raise her head proud about how the indigenous people as well as oppressed minorities have been treated at least since the coming to power of the Rajapaksa Administration. These westerners gad about in their finery, live in mansions and enjoy much more than creature comforts hardly sparing a thought for the poor natives for which some of them should hang their heads in shame and a far cry from what the noble late PM. the Hon.Pierre Elliot Trudeau offered the indigenous prople during his colourful tenure in high office but lived in an austere manner making most Canadians of his time very proud of his leadership.

The Canadians should go to the Reserves themselves and hand over cities like Toronto the First Nations.
