‘An appeal to the Tamil community’ – some comments

68ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ eminent Tamil citizens published a letter in The Island of 6th Jan.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ titled, ‘An appeal to the Tamil community…’ Their main point was the eviction of nearly 80,000 Muslims from the North and East by the LTTE in Oct. 1990. The signatories are critical of the govt for not supporting their settlement and forƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ bureaucratic hostility. This obviously is an observation to get the support of the Muslims. They have not condemned the LTTE for this eviction.

The letter refers to inter-ethnic reconciliation between the Muslims and the Tamils. However, the Sinhalese had also been evicted from the North and East but they have been sidelined from this proposedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ reconciliation.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is interesting to note that this team had focussed only on the Muslims but not the Sinhalese who were evicted in the same wayƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ like the Muslims. The statementƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ adds, “…never again will such a heinous act as the eviction take place amidst us …” But it is the LTTE rump who should say this and so far there had been no public disavowal of the eviction by them. When the LTTE was riding high some from this groupƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ were in their band-wagon.

A quick glanceƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ shows that one is a NGO who participated in overseas LTTE seminars, openly supported the LTTE during the war and still writes sympathising forƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the LTTE cause. Then there is aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ journalist who backed the LTTE and who recently serialised the biographies of LTTE leaders in his website,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ hailing them as heroes.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Another whose contributions to newspapers areƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ slanting to the LTTE.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

With regard to their request for the military to be withdrawn, the Defence Secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapakse, in his speech at the Sri Lanka Foundatinon Institute on 12th Jan had said, “… there is a possibility of the re-emergence of the LTTE in Sri Lanka, as LTTE sympathisers abroad are struggling to achieve the LTTE’s separatistƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ideology…” If so, why should the military be withdrawn from the North and East. Afterall, it was the security forces which brought peace to these areas.

Neutral observers may see this as a ploy to win the hearts of the Muslims and get their supportƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to achieveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ separatist goals. And it had takenƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ nearly 3 years after the war,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ for themƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to realise thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ something wrong had been done to the MuslimsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ !

Spot on.
In 1931 they tried to amalgamate Tamils and Muslims calling them Tamil Speaking People and tried to get 50 – 50. Now they try to do the same. This should be defeated.
It was a clever GOSL-Mossad plan that split these two groups in 1984 with Muslim homeguards, armed Muslim groups and other plans. The plan worked fantastically well. Many lives were lost to achieve this. This position has to be retained. Otherwise we have bring the spies again which is costly.
What they try to do is fool Muslims to support the merger of the north and the east. Then Tamils will be the majority in the combined province.
Anyway have no fear. Jaffna racists will never allow this to happen and Muslims in Puttlam know it.
Tamils have robbed their houses and all other properties. What this Group of 68 clowns want to do is give houses to Muslims from High Security Zones! Killing two birds in one stone.
Paul Harris the fearless patriot proposed to pit Al Qaeda against the LTTE. Read between the lines and you will see what he meant.

When the Kandyan monks honoured the traitor Hakeem whose help we sinhalese can ask for. When MR pledges to Krishna to fully implement the 13A who do we have to look for help against the racists Tamils? When the muslim minister is on the fence regarding the re-merger and non-commital in the fear of getting the Sinhalese’s backs up, who we have to turn to? When the GoSL tremble in their boots when they hear the bloody indians are coming can one say the GoSL is with a back bone? If not for GR’s brave front telling garlic Coushner and pommy Sillyband where to go Tamil Tiger Terrorists are still alive.

If the government is willing to give 13 or 13+ to India, then we don’t need any other enemies.
The government is the enemy!
13 will create riots in Colombo. Displaced Tamils will be resettled in Jaffna. Then it will be like in India. Tamils live in Tamil Nadu, Panjabis live in Panjab, Oriyas live in Orissa, Keralites live in Kerala, etc.
Is this what we want? No.

Agreed. If you see my comments in the weekly editorial you will see there is another group (who blame everything on Christians) who want to add petrol to the fire you said. These groups have been set up by LTTE to alienate us against all western countries. Even though westerners are our real enemies we should not be stupid enough to fall to this ploy. We have to tackle western powers with proper laws , intelligence and action. One cannot say all Christians supported LTTE. Some Muslims who speak the same language too supported LTTE.
Supporters of the past not necessarily our friends. Once peace has been established these enemies bring in other minor issues to create trouble to float their agenda.

You are right.
Tamils including Mu-Dalit and the crowd trying to split Sinhalese (74%) into Budhists (69%) and Christians (5%).
But Tamils (15%) are trying to re-unify with Muslims (11%)!
They NEVER blame Tamil Christians when Sinhalese are not around.
They NEVER blame UNP when Sinhalese are not around.
This way they can bring down the gap.
Now it is 85% verses 15%.
If their plan works, it will be, 69% verses 31%.
That is more than doubling their strength.
With Sinhala UNPers who don’t care about the nation about 20%, this gap can be further reduced to 49% and 51%.
BINGO!
Some foolish people among Sinhalese have already fallen into their trap. They must be laughing from their bleeding a*ses.

Our plan should be to retain the 85% or (65%) and further divide Tamils (15%) into Upcountry Tamils (4%), Eastern Tamils (3%), Vanni Tamils (2%) and Jaffna Tamils (6%). Jaffna Tamils should be further divided into TNA voters (5%) and EPDP (1%) voters. Pit one against the other and create violence, intolerance, suspicion, discrimnation, etc. among them and help the weaker one.

Those who are domiciled in the West and preach about the island can do a lot.
They can come together and show the Western world about India and its activities against the Sinhalese, Fijians, Malays and Kenyans etc.
