ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The UNHRC now meeting in Geneva has once again been inveigled by the USA and its poodles to accuse SL of HR abuses limited to the final phase of the 30 year conflict, cunningly blanking off the crimes of the LTTE. In autumn 2011 a similar motion was defeated. This time the USA, whose President Obama is not bound any more by Jim Crow laws, is going flat out to pin some indictments. It also offers veiled threats of force which is about all that the USA, the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s bully, can do to resolve like problems. If it fails this time it will go on doing so every 6 months using its unlimited resources to bully or buy over lesser states, mainly of the 3^rd world like Indonesia. The once formidable but now economically diseased EU is in the pocket of the USA. The US will cook up more false allegations, mix them with a few truths and temper it with soaring sentiments. If that too fails, all it has is to invent more accusations.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

SL has had 3 years of peace after 30 years of brutish war during which the LTTE were responsible for killing over 70,000 people of which 21,000 were SL soldiers and the rest civilians. Are the Americans with its 5^th column in SL trying to turn the clock back? Is it because SL has shown it is not afraid to stand with its regional allies who have always derided the USA?

On the other side the notorious white eyes community (so called IC) that is responsible for over 180,000 civilian deaths in Iraq since 2003 and over 37,000 in Afghanistan since 2001, has made certain that there will be never beƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  peace in those countries. They have however resisted any attempt to hold themselvesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  accountable for the crimes committed. It invaded Iraq falsely stating it had WMD. It invaded Afghanistan ostensibly to punish Al Qaida and oust the Taliban which it had armed, like it did Saddham.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Its shocking criminality there compelled Afghan President Karzai to despairingly remind them thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Afghans are also human beingsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

If this is what ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Enduring FreedomƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  does to the countries it goes to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”supportƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  what will it do to countries like SL that refuse to comply with most if not all of its demands? Doing a volte face it nevertheless demanded SL send its battle hardened troops to Afghanistan. That was the price to avoid American retribution. The Pakistanis knew the price and said ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢their money, our bloodƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. SL was not ready to shed its soldiersƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ blood for dollars. Geneva had to follow.

When the LTTE faced defeat in 2008/9 they took 300,000 Tamils, women, infants, old and sick people and young boys and little girls hostage, a historical first. The IC stood idly by. The LTTE said that they fought to liberate the Tamils and justified committing unmentionable and unspeakable atrocities and brutalities. (Channel 4 literally practising the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s oldest profession was deaf and blind to these acts).

Not even the SS divisions of the Nazi armies on whom the LTTE leader modelled his ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Tamil TigersƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢, (read Michael Roberts in Colombo Telegraph 10 Feb 2012), came anywhere near them in bestiality. Neither did any fighting force in history, rebel or nationalist, exhibit such craven cowardice when facing defeat. Especially as the LTTE leaderƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s standing orderƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  to his followers was to commit suicide rather than surrender. The USA/EU appears to believe he tried to surrender with his selected cronies and was shot. It was the USA that confirmed its own standard in dealing with terrorist leaders when they found bin Laden in a bed in Kakul. The USA now wants to punish SL for wiping out the LTTE without its permission even if there was a similarity in style. It cares not two hoots about the 294,000 Tamil hostages who were rescued! Remember Sadr city battle in Iraq?

By some perverse thinking, the USA and its WMD allies, all former European colonial rulers who had been side lined by SL during the conflict, now threaten if not attempt to blackmail SL with extremely dire consequences.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  For the US soldiers, bombing funerals, weddings and mosques, urinating on dead bodies, sodomising prisoners, cutting off their private parts and raiding homes in search of elusive Taliban is fair game. Yet it pontificates high and mighty on 3^rd world practices in conflict.

In USAƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s civil war a total of 620,000 soldiers on both sides died in 4 years. The total deaths, civilians included, were greater than the USA suffered in 2 World Wars and the Vietnam War together. An average 13% of all prisoners on both sides died in captivity too.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  These and refugee figures should be contrasted with that of SLƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s 30 year conflict.

Ironically the North Americans fought for the same reason that SL did. The aim was to prevent the break up of the nation. The original aim was not to free the black slaves. Fortunately for ObamaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s wifeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s people it was a subsequent policy decision of Lincoln. So when UNHRCƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Navanathem Pillay, of SL Tamil descent, takes umbrage at SLƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s claim that it was to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”liberateƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ the Tamils that it had to destroy the LTTE, it is clear she feels some angst. After all it was a LTTE claim too.

Lincoln was assassinated, an American predilection if not hobby, a few days after theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  victory.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The SL leader has survived so far. He has to be mindful of the fifth column in SL and take precautions.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  ChileƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s leftist President Allende and many others nationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ leaders that fell foul of the USA were assassinated.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

The IC intend, under the guise of HR laws, to haul SL over the coals for alleged abuses during the conflict. They will attempt to introduce and refer to SLƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s LLRC report, hoping that it could fry SL in bloody Libyan oil. It should read Neville LaduwahettyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s article (Island 28 Feb 2012) to know that in armed conflicts the relevant law is International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and not HR law. Thus the LLRC report cannot be taken up by the UNHRC. They should also contact the ICRC, the promoters and guardians of IHL, for further advice and not the UN.

This curious scenario is not unlike the victors of WW2 being called to account for their conduct on the instigation of the criminal remnants of the defeated Axis powers. Despite Vietnam, Iraq and now Afghanistan, the Americans have not been called to account for their conduct.

There were over 50 million deaths in WW2.They includedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  fire bombing of German cities like Hamburg where 42,000 were killed and one million made refugees in a few days by over 1,000 bomber aircraft of the RAF and USA. InƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Dresden, a city without even one military unit or even an anti aircraft gun, with aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  population of 1.2 million including 60,000 refugees, half a million died as intended by the allies if not Churchill himselfƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  in one night of terror bombing (13/14 Feb 1945). It was followed by the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s worst act of terror, the nuclear vaporization of Hiroshima (90,000 to 166,000 killed instantaneously, the bombƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  detonating over the Shima Surgical Clinic killing 90% of the doctors and nurses. The final count was over 200,000 dead) and Nagasaki (40,000 to 75,000 killed). The USA justified these murders then as being ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”the only course open to themƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. Only the USA pleads that there was just one course open for them even if it was to explodeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  nuclear bombs weighing 13 and 21 KT but preaches diligently that negotiations to end conflict are a must for lesser nations. So thatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s how SL did wrong and got it right!

The UK tried to make out that the fire bombings in WW2 were tit for tat. The fact is that Berlin alone had more bombs fall on it than the whole of the UK.

Is the west trying to equate the nearly 50,000 murders committed by the LTTE with what ever deaths (many unsubstantiated) were caused by the SL military, using standards the USA itself does not follow or give a damn for?

The atrocities the USA committed in Vietnam (1965-75) were legendary. It killed 1.1 million North Vietnamese. Its South Vietnamese ally alone lost 266,000 killed. The USA got away with 58,272 KIA. My Lai was a horrific example of US troops depravity. A retired American Ranger (US Special Forces) told the writer that when they went into a village suspected to have Vietcong they killed every living thing there, including cattle, chickens and dogs. That was the way they ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”liberatedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Vietnam. Like the LTTE, no less. Like the British in Wellasa in 1818.What perfidy, arrogance and hypocrisy.

When the French were about to lose to the Viet Minh in the first Indochina (French) war the USA considered using nuclear bombs. They did so again in Iraq in 2003 . Obviously what is good for the white eyes are taboo for Iran, North Korea et al.

In Kenya in the 1950s the Brits in defeating the Mau Mau rebels fighting to recover their land from UK, killed 15,000 Africans for 32 Brits killed. The Brits used ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”murder, castration, rape, systematic torture, general terror and violenceƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ (now an American trade mark speciality) that made even Churchill state that there was ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”killing on an enormous scaleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ Tens of thousands were interned. 1090 Mau Mau suspects were hanged after ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”witnesses for the defence were suborned and judges bribedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ in sham trials. (This was double the number hanged in the Algerian rebellion against the French). Channel 4 will never report on this. The facts are too well documented.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

These former allies and colonialists however have the audacity and temerity but also the dollars and plundered oil from Iraq and soon Libya, to call 3^rd world countries to account. This is 3 years after the conflict against a depraved and formidable terrorist gang ended. Their idea is to drag this on from time to time at least while GTF funds and voter support are needed. They use Indonesian westernised playboy DarusmanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s report to fuel the flames.

Today the Afghans are teaching the ISAF a lesson in history that it will never again forget. The burning of copies of the Koran by American soldiers will bring unimaginable retribution. The troops will do well to view the tragic painting of theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  sole survivor (Dr. William Brydon) after the massacre of British troops in the retreat from Kabul in 1842.

The USA will never learn that for the Muslim world, religion not democracy matters most. The IC will soon be rewarded with searing hot sirocco winds instead of the much dreamed off western hyped Arab Spring. To most Arabs they are simply hated infidels who prop up their autocratic kings, suck their oil revenues and support Israel.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

While Americans try to forget what they did in Iraq, the Republicans will do their best to rub out Obama. The African Americans cannot forget how their ancestors were punished by white slave owners. They were boiled alive in vats as they screamed and chunks of flesh dissolved. Their fellow blacks were forced to watch. The Americans are today defenders of HR together with their ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”cousinsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ across the seas.

Ask any Arab or Jew. They will tell you who the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s first terrorists were. They all came from where the IC exists. So how did they now become self appointed protectors of HR and the UNƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s military policemen? Their agenda is diabolical despite contrived denials by Butenis.

Finally it should be remembered that 21,000 SL soldiers sacrificed their lives forƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  unity, freedom, sovereignty and peace while about 49,000 innocents were murdered by the LTTE. The USA/EU, the most despicable hypocrites if not criminals of the modern world, must not be allowed to dishonour their memory under any circumstances.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Even if they know they have a ready made 5^th column willing to betray SL for the proverbialƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  30 pieces of silver and pretend to kiss the SL flag. SL will survive.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It has the most formidable of allies. The USA will remember the 38^th parallel in Korea.
