Bro James Attygale.
Take a moment toƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ view this videoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of a simple talk delivered by Ajahn Siripanno, the only son of Malaysia’s second richestƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ man whoƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ is Ananda Krishan, who is second generation Sri Lankan Tamil. His mother is Thai. The then youngsterƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ refused opportunity to work with his father to expand his father’s empireƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ (personal fortune more than USD 8 billion)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and instead walked the path of theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Thai forest meditation tradition about 13 years ago.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ His ancestralƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ home, which is preserved till today in Jalan Berhala as a family heritage,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ isƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ just accross the roadƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ from the Buddhist Maha Vihara Brickfields,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ besides the Klang river bank. He wanted to test the monk life for two weeks, wanted to leave on the first day he arrived at the Monastery, still continues to live happily within the Dhamma.

TAK is no doubt proud of the path undertaken by his son.

One need courage to follow the path Buddha showed us. It is time tested philosophy that can be practised if you have the courage to realise that we all are a single unit. We are burdened by having connection with (attachment to) others and other things.
