Indians call Vesak, the Buddha Purnima

as it can be easily be confused with celebration of Vaisakhi also known as Baisakhi, Vaishakhi, or Vasakhi whichƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  is theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  celebration of birth of the Sikhs in the northern Indian subcontinent, especially in the Punjab region .
