Dear Editor:

Contrary to whatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  David Poopalapillai of the Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC)ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ had to say of the absence of participation of MPsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ at the screening of the Channel 4’s controversial document War Crimed UnpunishedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ on Sri Lanka, I tend to agree with Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner Chitranganee Wagiswara that the attendence by parliamentarians were disappointing and poor.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Perhaps it was her ‘please refrainƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ from attending’ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ letter that kept most of the GTA MP’s away,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ finally realizing that Channel 4’s documentaries on Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tiger War, against the Sri Lanka GovernmentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ is nothing but Baa-Humbug!

There were quite a number of ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ missingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  prominent MPs who were the usual backers of the Tamil Separatist Eelam cause.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It was a case of “Where art Thou” Jim Karygiannis, Bob Rae, Paul Calandra, Olivia Chow, John McCallum, Rick Dykstra,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and the Sri Lanka Watchers: Joe Daniel, Joe Comartin. Pierre Poilievre, Peter Kent, John Baird, Scott Reid, Dean Del Mastro, Chungsen Leung,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Bev Oda, Lois Brown, Jason Kenney, the man who is known as the MP who is Curry in a Hurry,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and a few others.

LooksƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  likeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the Baa-Humbug is unravelling on Canadian Tamil Congress’ vindictive anti-Sri Lanka propaganda using the the Channel 4 questionable videos screened in Parliament Hill for the parliamentarians.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It is time thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ MPs stop encouraging such screenings by the CTC in parliament taking away the valuable time of the MPs who can otherwise utilize their timeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ on other importantƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ business concerning the country’s budget deficit, health, pensions, and seniors, etc.

Well done, SL High Commissioner! I hope Canadian politicians have by now realized that the Tamil “innocent refugees” that they went after for votes, are now teaming up against them.

By the way, a part of Toronto would seem an ideal place to establish Tamil Eelam.

  2. A. Sooriarachi Says:

Ch-4 has now earned the unenviable reputation of a TV station that would broadcast any lie for a big profit. Without shame the journalists who produced this inappropriately titled “Killing Fields” in partnership with the tamil supporters of the most ruthless terrorist group in recent times, the LTTE, is now campaigning for various “international” awards at competitions for documentaries etc sponsored by various groups operating in Western Nations. The fact that Ch-4 and the Tigers have already won some of these awards, goes to prove the dishonesty and lack of good morals and standards applied by these so called advanced nations.
