Dear Honourable Ladies and Gentlemen:

Re: Your concerns why Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s North still has, in your eyes, an unnecessary large contingent of army soldiers three years after the end of the Tamil Tiger terrorist war.

What has intrigued me is to know that only you GTA (Greater Toronto Area) MPs where the bulk of Sri Lankan Tamils who came as refugees live are bothered by this.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Surely not the MPs from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, PEI, Newfoundland & Labrador. They couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t care two prairie straws or two dead capelin washed onto the shores of Newfoundland.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Is it that you all have been lobbied by the Tamils who have their votes dangling at the end of fishing rods, teasing you all to act on their behalf to create a separate Tamil state, Eelam, in Northern Sri Lanka, reminding you all that their bloc-vote will be the reward for speaking for them.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  My hunch is that I am 100% correct.

Here is the amazing story and I want every one of you to follow my thread.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

SRI LANKA is a democratic Commonwealth nation, with a territorial landmass of 65,610 sq.km.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It is slightly smaller than the Province of New Brunswick with a landmass of 72,908 sq.km.

SRI LANKAƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s population is 21,000,000.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This is the population of both Provinces of Quebec, 7,903,001 (2011) and the Province of Ontario, 12,851,821 (2011) put together. So what we have is the island Sri Lanka which has a landmass less than that of the Province of New Brunswick with the whole population of the Provinces of Quebec and Ontario stuffed into it.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And that is Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka, not long ago (1981) had Sri Lankan-Tamils at 12.6% of the total population who were mainly concentrated in the North and East of the island.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Today,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the Sri Lankan-Tamil population happens to be 3.9% (Stats of World Watch, 2011) as a result of these Tamils fanning all over the western world as refugees searching for greener pastures, bypassing their Motherland, Tamil Nadu which has a population of 72,138, 958 (2011) Tamils,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  just 22 miles away from the shores of Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s North.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This meager population still wants to carve out one-third of the sovereign territory bordered by 66% of the coast line for their separate, mono-ethnic, racist Tamil state, Eelam. WellƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦what would you do?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  What would Canada do if confronted with such a situation?

However, one thing we do know as reported in The Ottawa Citizen of Monday, June 16, 1997, headlined ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-TrudeauƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s secret Quebec plan – Classified documents show 1976 cabinet discussed partition, use of army, bylinedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Jack Aubry.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The documents show that the use of the countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Armed Forces after QuebecƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s secession ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” one of the greatest taboo subjects in Canadian politics ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” was discussed by the federal government shortly after Mr. Levesque took power, as was partition.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

If that was indeed the case, then why are you all so upset about Sri Lanka refusing to drop her guard by reducing the armed forces in the North and East of the country where the Tamil Tigers, an unelected terrorist group, was running a de facto separate state killing and assassinating anyone who did not want to toe their line and got in their way.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  So, of the many politicians who were snuffed out for this very reason were two Heads of State (Rajiv Gandhi of India, and President Premadasa of Sri Lanka), three Mayors of Jaffna, two Foreign Ministers, Minister of Industry, Opposition Leader, a former Defence Minister and several Tamil politicians.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And you parliamentarians seem upset about the Tamil Tiger terrorists being wiped out militarily in Sri Lanka on 19 May 2009.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I chalk this down to CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s disingenuous sick Foreign Policy on Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Canadian Foreign MinisterƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s (Lawrence Cannon) pathetic Press Release, after the war ended on May 19, 2009, said it all.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  While all the western nations said, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Good Show, Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, Canada refused to acknowledge wiping out the Tamil Tigers, the most ruthless terrorists in the world.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  That was sick, as I thought that after 9/11 we were all trying to get rid of terrorism.

What would you do if the Acadians, the descendants of the 17th century French colonists now decide that the time is right for New BrunswickƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s 326,220 AcadiansƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  to have their own separate state, Acadia, carved out of New Brunswick. Their demand obviously will be vociferously supported by the Acadian communities of Nova Scotia, PEI, Quebec, Maine and Louisiana. WellƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ What would you do?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  What would Canada do? I cannot imagine you all standing in a corner of your offices on Parliament hill, sucking your thumbs like four-year olds and do nothing.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 

Remember CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Plan B as discussed by the Cabinet of the day, during the October 1970 Crisis ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” bring the Army out onto the streets and nip the terrorist movement in the bud!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We all know what Canada did in October 1970 when FLQ wanted their separate French state.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  In case you do not remember let me tell you.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau invoked the War Measures Act and brought out the armed forces to guard every street corner in Montreal and Ottawa and go after the FLQ terrorists. The army helicopters were buzzing over our heads like a mosquito infected tropical jungle.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And that is how Canada dealt with the FLQ separatist crisis which had a separatist armoury of a grand total of 33 firearms and 22 other offensive weapons including 3 smoke grenades, 9 hand knives and 1 saber.

The FLQ killed QuebecƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Labour Minister Pierre Laporte and kidnapped James Cross the British Trade Commissioner, which Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau cited in justifying his invoking the War Measures Act.

But when Sri Lanka found the thousands of innocent Sri Lankan killed and politicians assassinated by the Tamil Tigers who were trained by the Indian Government in their military camps in South India and at the foothills of the Himalayas, and presented to Parliament the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), but, oops, the Canadian Government cried foul and wanted it to be dismantled.

I chalk that down to CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s disingenuous ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”We are Holier than ThouƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  sick Foreign Policy on Sri Lanka, nothing more and nothing less. But, then, what was at stake for you parliamentarians of the GTA and its suburbs were thousands of Tamil votes and thousands of green $20 bills to be stuffed by the separatist Tamils into your election preparedness coffers.

There are several reasons why the Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s North has the presence of its army.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  There is nothing nebulous about this as it is clear as a whistle, as clear as London Big BenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s hourly ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ding-dongƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

1. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ As any countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s army would, including that of Canada is to guard Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s sovereign territory from invaders wanting to destabilize the country. LetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s not forget that Canada has its military presence up in the Arctic North, for that very reason.

In case you all missed it, the new Stephen Harper Government declared the Arctic to be a new operations area for the Canadian military.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And according to Lt.Gen. Peter Delving, our countryƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s top soldier, the Army was ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-required to affirm national sovereignty and conduct patrolling and surveillance operationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  So what is your problem with Sri Lanka having an army presence in the North for the very reason Canada has its military in the Arctic. Come on Honourable Ladies and Gentlemen; letƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s be honourable when you deal with Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I smell a devious, nasty, smellyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ rat here.

DidƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  you know that even mighty India has its army planted well along the Kashmir border in case Pakistan claims it.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  WellƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦.what do you know?ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It all points to CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s disingenuous ploy against Sri Lanka just because of the Tamil-Canadian vote and their moneyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s that keep bloating your party and riding coffers. Right?

2.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri Lanka has a hostile neighbour, India that never can be trusted.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  These are the bad guys and gals who took the bare-footed TamilƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  guerillas who couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t shoot straight to provideƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  them with militaryƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  training in camps in South India and in the north by the foothills of the Himalayas, graduated them in military warfare and to becomeƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  terrorists and sent them back to Sri Lanka with festoons of live bullets around their necks,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  cradling Kalashnikovs like babies, with moneyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  and grenadesƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  stuffed in their pockets and in fatigues and jackboots in late 1983 and 1984, to kill 100,000 innocent civilians in their 27 year long war.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Thus Sri Lanka cannot trust this neighbour,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  as they are capable of a repeat performance.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This is the same neighbour who sent Mirage 2000s over Sri Lanka in JuneƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  1987 violating Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s sovereign airspace to scare the jeepers out ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s President J.R. Jayewardene and forced him to sign the Indo-Sri Lanka Accord on July 29, 1987;ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  and this is the same untrustworthy neighbour who stabbed Sri LankaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  in her back by voting for the US Resolution in GenevaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UNHRCƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s palaver in March;

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ For Sri Lanka to drop their guard just because the Canadian GTA parliamentarians want them to do so for their Tamil constituents, Sri Lanka would be asinine;

3.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri Lanka has another atrocious neighbour, Tamil Nadu just 22 miles away over the water, that not only trained the Tamil guerillas in their military camps and graduated them as ruthless terrorists but their Chief Minister Jayalalitha has threatened to send in an army to capture the North and East for the Tamil Eelam.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  She has vowed to establish a Tamil separate state Eelam in the North of Sri Lanka and said that she would go to the extent of enlisting the support of a future Indian government to induct the troops for that very purpose if her party were in a position to hold the balance of power at the centre.

With such blatant pressure the Sri Lankan Government would be asinine to reduce the presence of the army in the North just because the Canadian GTAƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  MPs want them to do so to appease their Tamil constituents.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  LetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s be real honourable ladies and gentlemen.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Try not to treat the Sri LankanƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s as a bunch of fools.

4.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And the opposition leader and former Chief Minister and the leader of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam President M. Karunanidhi has openly confessed that heƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  has a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-dreamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ of wanting to have an Eelam established in North and East of Sri Lanka during his life time. He is 88 years old.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  As for his ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-unfulfilled dream of an EelamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in Sri Lanka, this guy is a political moron.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  This guy said, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The song of freedom is ringing in the ears of Tamils across the world. The blood and tears shed by Sri Lankan Tamils will not go in vain.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  If not tomorrow, it will come into existence one day.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

Honourable ladies and gentlemen, this stupid Tamil Nadu politician got it wrong.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  It should be ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The song of freedom is ringing in the ears of the Sinhalese across the world after the Tamil Tigers were whipped to oblivion on 19 May 2009.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The Sinhalese blood that was shed by the Tamil Tigers and the tears shed by the chest thumping wailing mothers and fathers for their killed children by the Tamil Tigers will not go in vain, as one day they will win this war against the separatist Tamil rump abroad, as those in Canada supported by some of you parliamentarians.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

And surely, you are not asking the Sri Lankan Government to reduce the presence of their army in the North, are you? For crying out loud, letƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s be real.

5. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  And finally, it is the separatist refugees who left the country seeking greener pastures who seem to want their separate mono-ethnic, racist

Tamil state, while living in luxury abroad like in Canada, who are complaining about the ArmyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s presence in the North and East of Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ My question is why shouldƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  it matter to them anyway when the locals who are not complaining about it.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The localƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  North and East TamilsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ know pretty well that if they have an open east coast that there is a potential danger of the remnant of the Tamil Tigers would bring in arms in ship loads as they did bringing 11 ship loads of sophisticated armoury during the Scandinavian monitored Ceasefire AgreementƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  period between 2002 and 2007.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The purchase of thoseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ arms were ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ fundedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  by the Tamil Diaspora, and Canadian separatist Tamils were partners of this fund.

The Sri Lankan government is not going to chance that possibility by dropping their guard just because some of you Canadian parliamentarians want Sri Lanka to reduce the Arm Forces in the North and East of Sri Lanka.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri Lanka is not that asinine and you all better get real.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  If Canada would guard its sovereignty, you bet so would Sri Lanka claim its rights to do the same.

Honourable Ladies and gentlemen, letƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s see whether I can be any clearer to you all when I say, the need for the Sri Lankan Army to continue its presence in the Northern and Eastern Sri Lanka couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t be disputed, though the Tamil Tigers no longer posed a conventional military threat.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s government needs its military presence to ensure that the Tamil Tigers would never raise its head again even with the encouragement of the untrustworthy neighbour India, or the separatist Canadian Tamil Diaspora and the Canadian parliamentarians like Patrick Brown, Rathika Sitsabaiesan, Judy Sgro and Craig Scott who keep providing sustenance and oxygen by sponsoring the Tamil Tiger sympathizer Tamil Organizations to have anti-Sri Lanka events in rooms within the ParliamentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s complex.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  LetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s stop it.

Remember that even the British continued to maintain a military presence even though terrorism ceased in Northern Ireland, long ago.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  The British were smart, and so should Sri Lanka be smart.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  I tell the Sri Lanka Government, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Just ignore the Tamil Tiger sympathizer clone Canadian ParliamentariansƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  who have no interest in their hearts for the Tamils who stayed back in Sri Lanka and refused to fly away to Canada saying that they have been discriminated and persecuted.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

And to you Tamil Tiger sympathizer clone Canadian parliamentarian I say,
