By withdrawing his appeal against the judgement in the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-White Flag ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…- case, Sarath Fonseka has admitted the guilty verdict delivered by the Court against him..ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ After receiving the Presidential pardon, SF is now shouting that he has not committed any crime.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Then, the simple question to ask is:ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Why did you withdraw your own Appeal?ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Not many in the general public will take SF seriously anymore.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ His foul mouth is working overtime.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He had no words ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-thanksƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ to the President.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ He will now become a famous puppet from Ambalangoda, dancing to the tune of Tamil National Alliance and the United National Party.
Legally, Sarath Fonseka is a convicted criminal.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ SF is shouting for the eradication ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ corruption in Sri Lanka. All he need to do is to go before a mirror to find out the most corrupt person who became a Presidential candidate in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is marching forward strongly in developing all parts of the country.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Whenever a country is placed on a fast paced development track,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ cost of living pressures will always takes place.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ When the gross domestic productivity is increased in the long run, the per capita income will also increase, providing better standard of living and comparativelyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ lower cost of living.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is not possible to reduce cost of living and develop the country on a fast track simultaneously, unless the budget deficit is blown up.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ This is not an attractive proposition, foreign lenders will factor in adverse risk factorsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ based on the country.
Sri Lanka is currently performing extremely well, compared with European nations.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The next global melt down is a threatening Tsunami.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Excessive subsidies have impaired the reserves of the developed nations.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ England was smart not signing up with the European Nations, when Euro was launched.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now British pound is under-attack, there are reports that the Bank of England if seriously considering printing bank notes to overcome shortage.
Sri Lanka is well insulated from most of these threats.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Our currency must be allowed to float without government intervention. High interest rates will eventually decrease consumptionƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and increase savings and investments.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The government need to look after small-medium businesses as they are struggling with working capital and capital expenditure financing threats due to high interest rates.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ With the currency depreciation, our manufacturing sector need to be strengthened to enhance export revenue.
With a stable government in place, the lenders will be more than happy to assess Sri Lanka as a low-risk entity. The positive outlook for Sri Lanka is due to the vision of the President and his team. Releasing Sarath Fonseka has created further confusing in the Opposition and strengthened the Government.
Some expected that a deal has been struck and Sarath Fonseka will join the Government.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Some people will remain as born losers and we are somewhat sorry for Sarath Fonseka.

Now that General Sarath FonsekaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s (GSF) resignation has been promptly accepted by the President Mahinda Rajapakse, the stage is wide open for horse-trading and summersaults. There are strong indications and whispers that GSF will try to keep an arms length relationship with Ranil and his cohorts, by forming his own political party to contest the Presidential and General Elections. Such an action will marginalize the GSF as well as RanilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s bandwagon.
24 hours is a long day in politics. There is plenty of time for the government to make a move and appoint GSF for senior a Ministerial portfolio, which will place newly formed RanilƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s UNF in a custom-designed Wal- Mart coffin to RIP.
If GSF forms his own political party, there will be instant upsurge in his party. But due lack of political experience, he will become a puppet of Ranil and anti-Sinhala/Buddhist gang. GSFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s own principles will be at cross-roads. GSF should also be extremely careful, as there are Tamil Tiger terrorists still trying to take revenge from him and put the blame on the government during the period of elections.
GSF should calm down at this stage and should not do anything that will down-grade him. President Mahinda Rajapakse has not done anything seriously wrong, to replace him after first term in office. In fact, he has done a marvelous job as the Commander in Chief, commanding to the victory one of most difficult tasks faced by Sri Lanka, that is elimination of terrorism. GSF should remain with those who gave him the opportunity to prove his leadership and skills. Our President needs leaders such as GSF. If there are many more GSFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s , it will benefit Sri Lanka. More than anything else, GSF must know that loyalty is vital for long term relationship with the President.
Dear General Sarath Fonseka, Lets forget the minor differences, please save your valuable life and family and continue to contribute to the enhancement of the lives of Sri Lankans. Long term loyalty, will eventually bring you to the highest place, which you so richly deserve.
But ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-If you go to bed with Dogs, you will wake up with FleasƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

SF is no born loser. He was part of the WINNING team of the war. Then what about Run-NIL, Anandasangaree? They are the REAL born losers.
Can we criticise what needs to be criticised and stop at that?
The danger is this type of OVERALL criticism of the person made up of good and bad BOTH, prevents the re-emergence of the NEXT SF (I’m referring to the army person not the crappy politician).

The difference is Nelson Mandela, Mahathma Gandhi, Nehru were convicted by COLONIAL alien “justice” whereas Gonseka was convicted by HIS OWN ARMY and the VERY SAME court system that HE TRUSTS and PETITIONS!!!

Sarath Fonseka earned the wrath overseas for saying that Sri Lanka is the nation of the Sinhalese. But these countries later became his supporters not because of their love towards him but a love caused by the hatred of these countries towards Mahinda. Sarath Fonseka needs to realise that politics is a dirty game. He became a political pawn and ended up in prison.

SF was a military leader and suit to command soldiers. Either they come to power by ballet or bullet it is the same military mentality or dictatorship and feudalism will go ahead. In everywhere in the world when a military leadership came to power that ended up in utmost corruptions, massacres, disappearances, human right violations and utter failure. Edi Amin, Suharto, Marcos, Pinochet, Batista, Franco and all over the South America or Africa or Asia it was same.
But the politics and governing a country is a different mission. If SF comes to power top hierarchy of the country will be his henchmen military personals. Every soldier will be self appointed administrators. Ordinary citizens will treat as sub humans. Country will go from bad to worse.
Since he is a special category U.S Green card citizen C.I.A may have special interest on him, this must be the reason Hillary was so much interest on his release. That means if Sri Lankans bring SF in to power means to bring Yankie neo colonist inside the Sri Lanka and make another Guantanamo in South Asia.

Mr Gotabha Rajapaksa Secretary Defense said after the victory,” I met the National Defense advisor of India and he said (referring to sarath Fonseka) You have got the best military commander in the world.”
He also said he was very proud of him.

There is no special card green card holders in the US. Green card holders are permenent residents of US. They can eventually become US citizens. Green Card holders cannot vote at US elections. Three prominent US citizens from Sri Lanka are:
(1) Gotabhaya Rajapaksa
(2) Basil Rajapaksa and
(4) Dudley Rajapaksa all brothers of Mahinda Rajapaksa.

In addition their nephew Ambassador Wickramasuriya was also a US citizen.

Any body could apply. When you apply you will be selected by a lottery operated by a computer.
Thousands of people have so far gone to the USA this way.
SF has said he tried this since his children could easily study in US.
In US if the children are mere children of an alien higher fees are charged for education.
If your children are children of green card holder you need to have less funds to
finance the education.
When you hold a green card you do not lose the citizenship of your mother country and in the case of
SF he did not lose the Sri Lankan citizenship.
But the liar Wimal Weerawansa just before the elections used all government media and said
SF could not contest elections as he is US citizen. It is better for politicians like Weerawansa
to keep the people ignorant.Ignorance also help you to write like pundits in websites.
Gotaghaya, Basil and Dudley have no voting rights in Sri Lanka since they are full fledged US citizens.

Even an ordinary street vendor from Ambalangoda could obtain the green card if
he applies and get selected by the computer.There are some people who apply annually
as this has got very competitive now since the number of people applying have increased. I hear
some Weerawansas are interested too. Those days applications were sent manually. Now they are
sent via email. Go to the US embassy they have all information,

When Gonseka applied for green card, his children were all grown up finished schooling!!
Tens of thousands of non-US residents study in US universities.
So this stupid argument fails.
He applied for the green card when he was a SERVING ARMY OFFICER! That is the problem. When he was awarded it, he didn’t resign.
Gota graciously resigned from the army after serving for 20 years.
Gota never had weapons companies in USA unlike Gonseka and his honeypot trapped victim Danuna.

There is no law that says you must resign from the army if you get the US green card.
There are bigger liars than than the maho borukaraya, Weerawansa.
